    Another common recommendation is Milani Baked Blushes... I had a few of those years ago and used some up and decluttered others. Next time I am in the city I might try to swatch Luminoso :)

      Milani luminoso’s formula is quite pigmented and thick, so I don’t think it would be a dupe, but definitely still worth swatching! I would also suggest the new Essence Pure nude blushes, specifically the shade 01 shimmery rose. I got it recently and it’s very light in color with a powdery baked formula and a beautiful sheen. I’m around the same skin tone as you and I find that I don’t have to be too careful when applying the essence blush…just use a fluffy blush brush and it looks great every time.
      Edit: grammar

      Milani rose d'oro is a bit more sheer than luminoso.
      You might also like Laura geller baked blush in honeysuckle. It's lighter and more sheer than pink butter cream.

      @Lese203 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just switched luminoso vs nars because it may be a dupe for the one you are trying to dupe. It is softer and more peach than orgasim and has that loose texture you wanted. It has peachy/yellow flecks similar to the nars, not sure if that’s helpful since you have swatches the nars vs the Mac.

    THIS is what I love about the intricate nuances of makeup! And how I can justify my recent order of five new reddish lip stains from Yesstyle even though I own at least 5 reddish lip stains already. They're all *slightly* different in their own special ways lol

    Essence The Blush (not the new baked blushes, too pigmented) and Almay Healthy Hue blushes are both sheer, sheeny buildable formulas that I think could work. Almay doesn’t have a color dupe but the formula is fantastic. Worth a try if you like the shades.

    I have 2 suggestions: Haus Labs Bio Radiant Gel Powder Highlighter in Rose Quartz. It’s really a beautiful blush hybrid. Laura Geller baked blush in sunlit rose (my fave) or pink buttercream. Both lovely but I find sunlit rose has a glow that’s smoother🧡

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was looking at those, but they are too pink for me. I prefer a peachy shade because true pinks clash on me sadly. I would have tried coral cove if it was the satin finish instead of the natural 😊

  • @heatherbridgham1238
    @heatherbridgham1238 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you are trying more options, I would recommend the Emily in Paris Baked Blushlighter. It is exactly what you are describing. It was more pigmented than I expected and I can definitely use it as a stand alone blush if I build it up. It is a true 2 in one and I do not feel the need to add more blush or more highlghter after applying it. It is has medium intensity as a highlighter. It is similar in color and shine to the Fenty Killawatt Freestye highlight in Chic Phreak but a little more pigmented. I also really enjoy the essence pure nude baked blush and RMS powder blushes but they only offer a satin finish and I still want a highlighter afterward. I am a simiar skin tone.

    @caityjayde96 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Just a Pinch might be worth swatching next time you're at a MAC counter if you're open to other shades of that formula. It's still an orange like Telling Glow is, but it's lighter and softer, and I have fair skin and don't think it's too bold.
    I haven't tried any Hourglass blushes, but if your main issue with the one you have is that it isn't glowy enough, have you thought about checking out their Strobe blushes next time you're at Mecca? They're expensive and there aren't very many shades, but they have the Ambient Strobe Lighting Powders mixed through them, so they might have the glow you're looking for without the colour being too heavy (not that I need more blushes, but I kinda have my eye on Euphoric Fusion, but I think some of the other shades might be more to your taste).

    Just at the start of the video, where you are applying the blush to your cheeks. Going by your description and how it looks on video, I get a very similar outcome using the Lethal Cosmetics glowy blush in Blossom. As you have darker skin than me, Ornamental might prove more your ideal shade. I basically use Blossom on it's own on no/low makeup days, as it makes me feel gorgeous, healthy and put together. When I'm really going for a Face, I use it over top of whatever is on my cheeks, as it melts everything together and just makes my face look lovely. Get random compliments, which is always appreciated and I hit pan on my first one in just over a year (that's how frequently I use it). Am half way through my second one. Out of my whole makeup collection, it is my favourite thing and my first repurchase should I ever lose all my makeup. I'm in my 40's and have also gone through skin changes that have made old favourites no longer look good. Lethal though, they do a lovely blush formula 👌🏻

    I have a baked blush from Flormar called Pink Bronze that looks similar. Not sure if you can get your hands on that brand. It's fairly inexpensive here in Ireland. I sympathise with your struggle to find a dupe. I've been trying to dupe theBalm Caramel cream blush for about five years now! So annoying when brands discontinue our favourite items. Edit: just watched the end of the video and see you are leaning more towards highlighter type products, so possibly Pink Bronze has too much base colour in it for you. If you have in store access to Flormar you could swatch some of their baked highlighters to see if they are similar.

    I have a bit lighter skin than you and for me baked Laura Geller blushes were way too much (I had trio baked blush pallet). I had couple hourglass face pallets, but i didn't like a formula as they were too powdery and dry. Milani were also quite pigmented, really don't get luminoso hype... Best one so far I had were baked Max factor creme puff blushes and my favourite from all - Kiko milano. Both baked blushes and bronzer are awesome. Mostly because you don't need to be light handed with them and apply beautifully on the skin.

    Can you still get Bourjois in Aus? Some of their baked blushes used to be some of my favourites for a glowy cheek - it's been a while since we could get them easily in the UK.
    The shades with names ending in "d'or" all have a gold sheen. They're also not madly pigmented, so will probably pass the "whack it on with one hand while juggling a small child" test 😂.

    i know this is probably not the answer you’re looking for, but i’d love to see you frankenstein your perfect stereo rose dupe, maybe with some of these blushes you’re trying to pan.

      It would be interesting to do (and to watch), but there's a few reasons why I won't ever do that... firstly I would happily sacrifice a few blushes, but that won't give me the blush coloured highlighter effect that I am after. Even if I mix blushes with a highlighter it won't replicate this peachy pink highlighter effect... it will just be a blush with shimmer in it. Theoretically I could break apart a few of my more pinky toned highlighters to create a new shade with a sprinkle of blush in there, but I really don't want to sacrifice any of them... I love them all haha. Secondly, I would never be able to replicate the baked texture of this product, if I press a powder it will come out a lot more pigmented and will lose the really beautiful ease of application this one has. The last reason I wouldn't practically do it is that more often than not my repressed powders break, and I really would hate to create something I love just to find it broken in my makeup bag one day.
      So yeah, it would be a fun experiment, but I like my makeup collection too much to waste product like that haha.

    I think Milani Berry amore might work. Laura Gellers blushes have a similar formula but I’m not sure what shade. The swathes on her site aren’t the best so I always look elsewhere for swatches

    I'd say go nars highlighters (not blushs) they the have to best formula for lit from within, i have one of the old limit edition palettes (high-voltage) highlighter trio and it have a pinky peachy soft highlighter(called Queen) that looks amazing I'm hoping that they'll have a dupe for in the permanent range otherwise I'm really ganna miss it and start my own hunt for a similar product like it

    Sometimes I mix my own concoction… try scraping a light colored blush with a highlighter into a small container. Mix it up to get a whole new blend. Just for you. Maybe the em blush and an hourglass highlighter? That could get you through until Stereo Rose is re-released. I did that with my NARS Orgasm. I mixed it with a light pink matte shade that I love. Who says you need to use everything from the pan? XOXO

    • @KitschSnitch

      @KitschSnitch Bobbi Brown herself recommends using it all over the cheeks as an overall glow. (And not as a stripe of highlighter) I do the same, so it may just do the job the way you need it to.

    Hoe about the RMS blushes, especially in maidens blush ( more peachy than French rose), I love them! Very soft! Another suggestion, the bare minerals blonzers, although they are more ‘ thick’. The buxom primer infused blushers?

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m definitely going to swatch the RMS one next time I’m in Mecca, but I don’t think I’ll buy it because RMS is a natural brand. They tend to go bad fast because they don’t have preservatives. Buxom isn’t easily accessible in Australia sadly 🩷

    • @lorrainemallory6951

      Yeah I know I don’t like that either… but maybe because they are powders they will last longer than the creams ;) also another suggestion, although you can’t swatch them in store, the Valentino eye2 cheek blushes. They have a gorgeous soft glow and amazing colours ( like 9 poudre).
