And, exeggutor ex like your Pikachu that you pulled, plus both Lisha’s appeals, cyrano & drayton. Nostalgia will always be an important factor in pokemon tcg. With surging sparks they did an excellent job by making a set that consists of old pokemon, crowd favourites and even mixed in some of the newer ones, but ultimately, when the hype and prices settle, I believe it will not beat 151 in terms of popularity and value. Scarlet and violet is treating us good though with these banger sets.

Surging Sparks is such an amazing set, as a pikachu collector I absolutely adore the pikachu ex cards, especially the special illustration one and the fact that they are even terastallized makes it even better cause I like the crystal look to pokemons! This set isn't released yet in my country so I can't wait for it to release so I can open packs!! :DD
I think that everyone will focus on Prismatic Evolutions and ignore Surging Sparks, but then people are gonna go back and realize how good cards they missed and prices will skyrocket

Yes! well said. The set is being forced and its not organic. Very few channels admit this and take the TCG market for face value which I believe the prices don't make sense. The investors channels definitely have a herd mentality and they all jump onboard saying this is a "hype set". Remember they were saying this is the next "evolving skies". Pure delusional. I’m getting back into the hobby after not opening packs since the big drought of cards during the shining fates/darkness ablaze era. I came back at the absolute perfect time with surging sparks lol! I can’t wait to open some packs, if I can find some lmfao Edit: I remember when target had to limit how many cards people could buy since it was getting out of hand. As a kid myself, my options were limited as to where I could buy cards.
As a finance student who ABSOLUTELY loves pokemon, I loved seeing the real life applications you’ve put on your videos. Idk whether to get Surging Sparks or Prismatic Evolutions for my first box lol… what should I get?? The Latios and Latias cards look so sick - but then again, you can’t really beat Eevee. Evolutions is also kinda expensive in Australia rn. Btw congrats on that Latios

Recently got back into the hobby over the summer as a camp counselor, since a lot of my campers were into collecting Pokemon. On my days off I'd buy a pack or two to open with them, and even got a few nice pulls. I'm definitely happy with the current selection and prices of SWSH and SV sets, and it only seems to be getting better. I actually had my doubts with the hype of Surging Sparks, but the set turned out really nice, and combined with Prismatic Evolutions and the eventual Team Rocket set, it's definitely going to be a very nice year for collecting!
I never imagined I’d come back to Pokémon but here I am. Just jumping on the train, first time picking up a booster box. Pulled the milotic SIR first pack and lost my mind! Feeling like a kid again is priceless
I think one thing not a lot of people are talking about with surging sparks is it’s followed three weak sets not many people got excited about twilight, shrouded or crown and that then builds into a release so the fact this is a good set I think even an average set with a popular Pokemon would have boomed. I do think year two of scarlet and violet is going to be crazy. Reminds me of break point era of XY with the 25th anniversary sets and introducing a few new things - loads of nostalgia, fan favourites and new mechanics for the game.
Just got into the hobby for the first time. I use to buy packs randomly to use as bookmarks, got Charizard VMAX Swsh261 as my main bookmark haha. But I started to actually buy packs to pull, pretty fun. Very addictive.

It was my very first time collecting Pokémon cards, and I still remember watching Pokémon: The First Movie - Mewtwo Strikes Back back in 1998. It was so amazing! Collecting Pokémon cards now brings me right back to being a kid, filled with that same excitement and magic.

Idk whether to get Surging Sparks or Prismatic Evolutions for my first box lol… what should I get?? The Latios and Latias cards look so sick - but then again, you can’t really beat Eevee. Evolutions is also kinda expensive in Australia rn.

Recently got back into the hobby over the summer as a camp counselor, since a lot of my campers were into collecting Pokemon. On my days off I'd buy a pack or two to open with them, and even got a few nice pulls. I'm definitely happy with the current selection and prices of SWSH and SV sets, and it only seems to be getting better. I actually had my doubts with the hype of Surging Sparks, but the set turned out really nice, and combined with Prismatic Evolutions and the eventual Team Rocket set, it's definitely going to be a very nice year for collecting!
I never imagined I’d come back to Pokémon but here I am. Just jumping on the train, first time picking up a booster box. Pulled the milotic SIR first pack and lost my mind! Feeling like a kid again is priceless

I think one thing not a lot of people are talking about with surging sparks is it’s followed three weak sets not many people got excited about twilight, shrouded or crown and that then builds into a release so the fact this is a good set I think even an average set with a popular Pokemon would have boomed. I do think year two of scarlet and violet is going to be crazy. Reminds me of break point era of XY with the 25th anniversary sets and introducing a few new things - loads of nostalgia, fan favourites and new mechanics for the game.
Surging Sparks might be the first master set I try to get. So far hit some illustrations rares I was after. Thanks for the video!

Just got into the hobby for the first time. I use to buy packs randomly to use as bookmarks, got Charizard VMAX Swsh261 as my main bookmark haha. But I started to actually buy packs to pull, pretty fun. Very addictive.

Brother, I've been grinding all the way to complete the master set for Surging Sparks, definitely not a easy one, but having your video on and sorting the binder and ripping packs makes it a lot more informative💪

It was my very first time collecting Pokémon cards, and I still remember watching Pokémon: The First Movie - Mewtwo Strikes Back back in 1998. It was so amazing! Collecting Pokémon cards now brings me right back to being a kid, filled with that same excitement and magic.

This set is gold. The only thing bringing it down is prismatic, owner pokemon, and team rocket. I'm personally stashing a lot of these.

Its crazy to me how the price of these sets have skyrocketed. Not to mention how the upcoming sets are already sold out preproduction. I just got back into the hobby after the release of 151 and it seems like the fanbase is just as crazy as it has always been. Love to see it.
