It's honestly scary with the vocals and distorted sound, makes me imagine an alternate universe where Arima commits suicide because he couldn't handle Kaori's death. but it's still soothing, don't get me wrong.

Ironically this scenario can be turned into a happy ending.
Like kousei taking up kaori's offer and taking her up to the hospital roof and jumping off together and instead of the letter scene we get tsubaki reading an eulogy for kousei at his funeral where she can be happy for him(happy ending) or express all her feelings towards him(sad ending).

this was the saddest anime i’ve watched. i just finished it and i can’t stop crying. i miss kaori so much, she is my favourite character. she had an impact on each of the characters lives, and was the reason that kosei got back into playing piano. i wish they’d both ended up together instead of kaori dying. this anime hits hard 😭

Kaori didn't deserve to die, She was so pretty, and had such a beautiful soul. Kousei and Kaori deserved better, but so did Tsubaki she was one of my favorite characters :(

I fell for someone as hard as Kousei did for Kaori. Now my crush is going away from me , I feel the exact way as Kousei did. Seeing the love of your life fade away infront of your eyes. It hurts more than it can ever be explained.

Am I the only one that didn’t cry in this anime 💀
Welp, I cried the second time I saw the anime, You should understand a few things for cry x"d. For example, Kaori knows Kousei as a little girl, she felt in love, and she did everything that she could do for Kousei, Kaori died with begin to ran and do all the things she can, because is just 14 years old. (And all the verbs are in past ;-;). And in one of the chapters, Kousei say that he didn't do something bad, he just felt in love, and well at the end Kousei lost everything he love, but it's a good anime, some people cry and some people not.
