My mom’s signature scent was Estee Lauder Youth Dew everytime I smell it on someone I cry . I have her original bottle and smell it when I miss her which is very often as she is my angel in heaven ..

It's a psychological thing. If you didn't know whst it meant to do, it would smell different.
It must be a universal smell that plays on soothing loving or emotional core memories
I love this idea. I hope more fragrance companies continue to do this too! It’s a neat concept. Some company should make a line of perfumes just to spark different emotions. Maybe there is already one out there but I’m not aware of any. But that would be really cool.

My fiancé passed away about a year and a half ago so I am so sorry you are feeling this pain. I think about me snuggled in his neck and the smell of his hair all the time… I instantly thought of him when I saw this. I don’t know if it’s a hoax or just a selling point but if I smell this and it takes me there, I will never wear anything else! But if I smell it and don’t like it then I’ll know this is all fake. Lol. But again I saw your comment and just had to reach out and let you know you aren’t alone. That type of pain should never have to be felt but for some of us it happens…prayers and love your way ❤️
I believe God heard your heard and answered your silent prayer. God loves us so much that we don't even have to believe in him for God to pour out His love over us. Even if that love is going to your bf, it makes God happy that you're happy bc you are so so loved and being watched over all the time❤❤❤

I just saw a candle company that makes candles that smell like all different kinds of things.. people, places, emotions etc. I might be wrong but I believe they were on Shark tank. It sounded ridiculous to me but after reading their story, and the reviews, I can only guess that there's somehow a science to creating a scent that embodies the way something/someone/someplace makes people feel

It doesnt smells that good in my opinion. It smells like old people(maybe the reason why its named like that) and the smell doesnt last long, probably just last for 2-3 hours on me.

my grandmother has a very distinctive scent, and she doesn't use cologne or perfume. I've been trying so hard to find this smell, its like sweet but muted, also somewhat musky and so..so fucking nostalgic for me. It reminds me of long days under Chicago sun and pulling ripe tomatoes out of her garden. Reminds me of hanging damp graphic tees on clothing lines and riding my bike around the block. Reminds me of spicy ginger snap cookies and aluminum covered chicken pot pies. I kept her cardigan and it smells so much like happiness and childish freedom, but the scent is going away. I need this. I need to remember. I wont handle the day I forget.
