Notes on the Kenworth "Big Boy": 1) Darkened rear-view mirror bug - this issue has plagued older truck mods made prior to the ATS 1.40 release, which means the mod author is just recycling his mod by changing the mod version just keep it within the current game release. They're not actually updating anything, otherwise this age-old bug would have been addressed. 2) Soundproofing - the mod author has not corrected the soundproofing since the change was made with the ATS 1.42 release. If you love engine noise inside your cabin at 155 dB, this mod is for you. 3) Windshield tinting - makes driving this truck at night nearly impossible. Especially since it compounds the dark rear-view mirror problem as stated above. For the love of God, make it optional so that the tinting can be either ignored or added at the player's discretion. 4) Unnecessary leftover files - this mod packed with "borrowed" tuning assets from other truck mods that aren't even inside the game. It doesn't hurt the playability any, but it does hurt those who are on limited bandwidth. Clean it up.
7:14 I have been playing with that Kenworth T660 from previous Betas (1.43, 1.44 and now 1.45). It is one of most complete truck mods I have ever seen. Lots of cabin options, chassis, engines, accessories. Very very complete mod, my favorite. I have to say it is better than most of the payware out there, perfect truck.
You seem to be up on the various mods, both old and new. As one of the newest player's to ATS and having been an actul OTR owner operator for a couple of decades in my youth. I'm wondering and have been looking for a mod that would actually work in version 145 of a conventional dump truck. Not the end dumps that exist now, but a normal 9 ton generally dirven locally to and from various construction sites dump truck.
Pingas 389 peterbilt and w900 has that option. Stay away from any mod on a third party site that has ReneNate as the author, he steals and leaks mods. Anything else you'd have to either have custom edited in or possibly edit it yourself
Scratches in the windshield-mod??!? ..when will we see 'Bird-droppings on the truck'-mod??! O.o? ..or what about a mod for 'Splatted insects ' on the windshield??! -.-
im working on it rn i will update this comment with a link to the mod on steam when i publish it or search on steam workshop "Realistic dirtiness and cleanliness" ill let u know when i release it
I would rather have Canada added ..but since neither of them is a part of US ..I guess they wont do it?! Alaska would be a nice addition thoug!! ..on the other hand, Alaska is so big, they would count for 'America Truck Simulator II' ..where they would finally manage to add the east coast too?!!

That said ..I have been thinking about them working on this game for so long ..we probably need to see a engine-swap for a newer engine-version in the near future ...they can't continue slapping that old stag!!
Umm no. I don't want a scratch windshield. The engines sounds lack. They're much better ones. No of these mods did I feel like I needed over other versions of what I have already.

Does it have the echoed sound in cabin problem?
@@chrisp6443 I don't hear any echo inside the cabin.....but you should try it. For me is almost perfect.
I am new to ATS, is there a good cab over mod with out the metal sun blocker thing at the top of the front windshield?
