Other. Paid for a funeral and had to financially support some family and friends. Glad to be able to help but wow, I’ve never seen numbers that high in my budget.
Longtime subscriber here from Toronto! Your content has fundamentally shaped my financial literacy with an emphasis on budgeting. I've used various budget tracking templates in the past but yours is by far the best and most helpful! Appreciate y'all 🧡
I’m trying to finishing off paying off my debt!! 🎉then starting to invest at 22!! I am so thankful that I found your TH-cam, you have helped me understand financial better!!!❤ from Ottawa!
Happy Thanksgiving! Loved this so much! Appreciate the transparency! I'm also doing this and its refreshing to see you guys focus on trends rather than beating yourself up for one-offs! That is definitely something I struggle with! Moved from Toronto to London, UK last year and seeing this video makes me miss Canadian pricing for a few things haha
Thank you so much! Yes, great point - we definitely try to focus on the trends instead of one-offs. It’s helpful to keep you motivated and actually stick with your budget. 😊 Ha, that’s funny - how has London been overall (other than expensive)?
Happy Thanksgiving Steph and Den! I love your content 🥰 thanks for transparently showing us your progress and getting us interesting in chatting/learning more about personal finance!
In Australia, where I live, there are multiple car-share companies. Even Toyota has an iteration, whereby you're on a tier of monthly membership which determines your hourly or daily rate (I'm on the free monthly membership). If Canada/Ontario has these, they could be worth pricing compared to a standard car hire service. Also, i find it interesting that you seperate coffee and restaurants. I budget them as the one line. Might break it up for more insight
That's interesting! We have a car sharing service called Zipcar that works in a similar way that we've thought about in the past, but what's held us back is the lack of insurance coverage for car sharing. How does the insurance work for you in Australia? 😊
Hi! Great video! This may be random but would you be willing to share which legal resources you used for your website? i.e privacy policy etc. Did you get the resources from an online source? consult a lawyer? Would love to see a video on your entrepreneurship journey and how far you both have come - thanks so much!
Yay for updates! Have you guys thought an outing putting your presto card on your phone so you never have to carry a physical card? Could help in the future for avoiding paying for transit with a credit card.
We have thought about it actually - we almost did it a few weeks ago, but then we realized that if you put it on your phone it the card becomes completely un-usable, and I guess we weren't ready to part with the card yet, ha! We still might do it in the future though 😊 Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi! Good question - you'll be prompted to include your T5 form (that the financial institution that you have your HISA with will have available for you). 😊
With audit or assurance advisory you have a bit more flexibility, as they're less specialized (at first). Tax on the other hand is more specialized, so you'd likely stick with that path if it's what you choose. In general, it's up to you based on what service line you find the most interesting and aligned with your skills 😊
What category have you spent the most money on recently? Let us know! 👀

Like this video as it's more natural compared to other ones.
Thank you! We do a mix of personal money updates and educational videos, so the styles are different 😊
Hoping for some help. Disappointed that Canada is one of the most costly and overpriced countries to live in. 😢
I like how they get a certain amountand then they say this is gonna go to investments and the rest is to live off of pretty cool. I need to do that
Happy thanksgiving to you guys ❤️ great video
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving 😊
Great video. Let’s end the year with our goals in mind and look forward to completing more milestones in the upcoming year 🍊
Thank you so much! Agreed - more to come 🙌🏿🙌🏻

Mam what is your household income in Australia? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.

@@stephandden I get it! Presto should give the option to have both but I guess they don’t want you to share the card.
I was wondering if you could do a video on Saven Financial. I was looking at their GIC's. Are they a good company?
High quality content and editing! Do you guys edit these yourself or freelance??
Thank you so much! We have an amazing video editor who edits most of our videos, but Dennis did edit this one 😊
Where did you find your intramural basketball? I’m looking for me and girlfriend but haven’t found any good ones (in the GTA)
How would you report money (for tax returns) you made on a HISA? For context, I'm a 22 year old student (unemployed).
Hi! Good question - you'll be prompted to include your T5 form (that the financial institution that you have your HISA with will have available for you). 😊
Which accounting industry/service line would you recommend for fresh graduates?

Hi Steph, if you don’t mind me asking. Where are your earrings from? They’re so cute.
Thank you! They're from Mejuri 😊
@@stephandden thank you so much. 😊
Question! In the title it says ‘how much we saved’ and invested, but i didn’t hear that in the video, did I miss it?
You did miss it - we talked about how much we saved and invested a few times throughout the video, including at 8:32 and 19:08 😊
Which Budget app do you use?
We use our budget template - we linked it at the beginning of the video! 😊
I like your sweaters, where do you get them from?
Thank you! 😊
Steph’s is from Gap, Dennis’ is from Urban Outfitters
I need a buffer. My rental income varies.
That makes sense! Having a buffer is a great way to do it 😊
Driving to Ottawa always ruins everything😂
I feel that! 😅
Where's Rent/mortgage? Car loan/fuel?
We show our rent cost in the video 😊 we also show our transportation costs!
We don’t have a mortgage or a car
can steph do some fashion videos 😅
I'm honoured 🙇🏼♀️ haha!
First
So quick! 🥳
If you guys don't cut down on eating out you'll need to spend on clothes 😜
That’s a crazy comment!
