I’ve done so many groups on electric bicycles and I have never heard anyone ask for a “workout mode”. Your device looks extremely easy to use, and that’s pretty cool.
It's pretty cool as it adds resistance to your training. It's very simple to use, I think anyone would be able to attach it, turn it on and get going pretty fast.
I had the pikaboost 1 version and the workout mode isn't that bad when you drive down hill you can put it in the strongest workout mode and it will regenerate your battery so it's not that bad 😊 I drove 30kilometers daily without any effort
@makeyoutubegreatagaintv4328 that’s right, it’s quite impressive. I’m really enjoying it on my bike, and especially as it’s way lighter than my other e-bikes.
Great video I was wondering how to uninstall and reinstall the brake mechanism on the handle. Is it stick or is it magnetic and if it’s stick how do you switch bikes?
Thanks for the Video.... I am confused with the amount of packages they sell. One has a stronger battery and one adds tires. If you have a mtb is there one you have to buy? Any idea how long they have for the shipping process? I know you don't work for them lol just thought I would ask.
Did you try this on hills? I would have liked to see some footage of you riding it on different grades of hills. From what I can find, anything over 3% grade it is pretty much worthless.
I have very few hills here in central Poland, I did try it up a couple of slopes whilst testing it over the last couple of weeks and with pedal assist it's not bad. I only use the throttle only option around town, I doubt it would get my up a hill, it's not that kind of system.
Poss not in the UK. Yes if you’re using 3 of the options as its assist. But cruise poss no as it’s then driven solely by the motor and you will need insurance etc like an e-scooter. Because we are so behind in the Uk !
@@PhillipSkraba hi, I just tried it today, and just had quick cycle around the block, and it barely felt like I was getting any assistance at all, it just felt like i was cycling normally and occasionally felt like someone was giving me a push from behind, and it also feels a bit draggy to, can I ask do think I've fitted it wrong? Because its not anywhere near as good as you make it sound, any advice you have would be much appreciated! I'm considering sending it make for a refund tbh.
@@tracygulliver9521 I used it for about a few weeks before my final review so I could give it an honest opinion. It sounds like some kind of fault as mine would work fine with no peddling at all, except for up hills where I'd need to switch to pedal assist, and I weight around 105kg, that's a lot of weight for it to roll around. In assist mode I could really feel it was helping me out, even up light hills. Mine was a prototype, so I'm guessing they only made it better afterwards. I think the draggy feeling is only in "exercise" mode which I didn't have in my prototype version.
@@PhillipSkraba I am awaiting my Pikaboost 2 and when it arrives, I will try it on. If I can keep the Pikaboost 2 level, it seems there is no reason why it cannot be used as a rack as long as the weight bearing is kept within reasonable limit. The only concern is whether that would raise the temperature of the battery.
everyone talking about regulations in their country. Well, here in America, I think it should go 50 miles per hour without any laws getting in my way. I just want to buy it, slap it on and go 50mph. I've got places to be and people to see! Seriously though, this looks cool. Amazing concept. I ride BMX without brakes so idk how that would work out... I have to foot-jam to stop when needed. Not sure if it would keep going or not if I did that. Even with BMX though, my town is pretty spread out and you have to drive to get anywhere. This would be cool to put on the bike to cruise to the skatepark that's 15miles away rather than driving. I'd need it to go faster than 35 though, otherwise I'm stuck cruising on the sidewalk or something... 45mph would be good but I understand they have laws to abide by and safety concerns. Especially for a guy like like me that wants to go as fast as a car without brakes 😂
You are looking for trouble, huh?! I like it, sounds like me 20 years ago! Yes, unfortunately laws wouldn't allow for those kind of speeds, and I'm not sure how the tyre would look at speeds of 50mph!
@@PhillipSkraba Thanks for entertaining me xD. I do really like the idea. I hope it catches on. I'm even honestly considering it myself because of my location. Nice video.
I’m not sure how they get around it. It won’t take off with the throttle, which technically isn’t a throttle but a button, and you need to first peddle for it to work, so possibly a loop hole as you need to peddle to start and it’s not physically a throttle.
Someone should do a test on this to see how much grip you lose on the back tire with all that friction

Ive been looking for uphill test on this one bud. Maybe you can do one? Thanks.
Right. Noone ever has a saddle post quick release opener tool on them.
I lock mine down like the Hulk and throw some dirt with hairspray before I lock it down, it’s like the 90’s all over again 😂

What about wet conditions...any slippage?
😂 is that legal to use on public roads around the world ?
Absolutely, it's a rocket, rockets are legal.

It's legal on roads in sg
I wonder if it is possible using the Livall as a "rack" and load a pair of light weight pillion bags on it?
I'm not sure if it would like that, mind you it is pretty solid when in place.

Is it good up hills
It'll help, but it won't rush you up there.
Vorrei acquistarlo, come posso fare?
WHERE CAN I PERCHIS THE PIKKABOOST 2 FROM THE UK
No idea, you’d have to check the official site for dealers in your area.
How does this work on a seat post that has a spring?
Well, as long as you clamp it below the spring and make sure there is enough clearance for the spring to function it'll be fine.
So you cant have anti splash thingys when using this?
Mud guards? No, unless it's a shorty, but you do get a small mud guard with it.
can you take it on a plane?
Ordered one hope it comes but not convinced it will
I think it will, they made v1, and I’ve asked them to send me a final mass production model. I always make a point of that.
How much did the Pikaboost cost?
I want to get it but I don’t know wich website to get it from i only can find indego did you get it from indego?
That is currently the only official site, yes.
Sweet!
It’s pretty cool! I’ve had a blast with it.

Workout mode? Come on man.
It’s real man! It’s a real thing! Come on!
That’s not anything anyone is looking for in a pedal assist. When I bought my bicycle, they threw the workout mode in for free.
No way! That's just wild. This one adds resistance to your pedal, so you might get a little more muscle growth.

Thank You! I think you'd like it, maybe if you get two, strap one on the front wheel, reverse it, it might, just might get you to 50mph!
Didn't think this would be legal in EU, e-bikes in whatever form should be peddle assist only.
