You are very correct. Swahili can't be learned effectively if the people who CLAIM to support learning it like random words thrown into a video. Makes you question the sincerity of funders and supporters.
Great asset thank you - super, super helpful. A tiny comment is that the English translations are very American - for example - a duka is a 'shop' - not a 'convenience store' - (that term doesn't really apply to a typical 'duka' in East Africa). And while its good to learn the full breadth of the language, Im not sure learning 'beaver', 'alligator' or 'anteater' are top priorities for life in Tanzania 🤣
So......what if you need to reference one of these relevant places? I find it very useful and love how well-rounded this vocabulary list is. Good luck with the Swahili learning! I learned a lot from Duolingo (and of course SwahiliPod101.com) for free!
This is me! My parents can speak Swahili English and kikuyu… I can only speak English :( but I’m learning Swahili and want to learn kikuyu when I’m older!
To me it really takes away from the quality of the video to include so many city, state, and country names that are only repeats of the original word with the other accent. There are so many other translatable words that could have been included instead.

INSTEAD OF RANDOM WORDS, PRESENT THEM IN CATEGORIES!! THIS ORGANIZED METHOD REALLY HELPS WITH LEARNING!!

Categorization makes you lazy. This is good, enjoy.
Never mind be grateful and making the categories your self
So excellent! I love learning the vocabulary, thank you!!
That is really very helpful.
Asante sana!

I don't understand how something like Taoism is a beginner word and there are lots of those falling of that beginner category.

For someone who wants to learn kiswahili, all these foreign countries names are useless.
