Sure, everybody has those bearings and iron brackets lying around in the garage. That’s much better than buying a complete tool at the same cost of the independent parts so you can “make your own.”
I like your setup very much. I think however it would have been easier to set the bar perpendicular to the apex of the blade and run the sled laterally.
Nice simple method. But one question - how would you make repeated precise dowels of a set diameter? Trial and error and lots of measurements with a set of calipers?
Been wanting to make my own rollers for bike training inside... was gonna use this method and make 3 large diameter dowels... Do you think if I used this method would I need a metal rod to go the whole way through? As I was initially gonna use pvc pipe and just put some equally spaced "cookies" of wood to give the 3 inch diameter pvc pipe some structural support on inside...but if just get some 4x4 lumber and trim it down to the diameter I want...maybe I can save some money on pvc pipe... Thoughts?
@@j-woodworking9573 that's a little bigger than 3/4" diameter. It would be nice to be able to get 3/8" or 1/2" diameters. For sure you would have to shorten the length to keep it safe.
Saya sangat terkesan. Sempurna hasilnya tapi simpel cara membuatnya. Terima kasih atas ilmunya
Thanks!
bel bastoncino, bravo geppetto
I am amazed at how you look at the world. Thank you for sharing it with us.
What made a woodworker unique is your imagination. Good Job!
Nice! This video reminds me that I've got a brand new Jet Mini Lathe sitting in the garage begging to be used for something. 😀
Fantastic job. The only thing I would change would be inserts in place of the wingnuts. I hate wingnuts!
Merci pour le partage.
Meilleurs vœux pour cette nouvelle année.

O melhor que já vi , perfeito.
Very cool and serendipitous, I just got commissioned to make some jyo do staffs. I am going to change my plans. thanks
Very useful & nice jig
i love it, brilliant!
very good idea..........woderful........
It's just mindblowing how you thinked at this. Amazing!

Really cool! A dust collection box would also be super easy to add to this design.
Very good! If you make it adjustable, to spin at an angle, relative to the table saw, you can make tapered pieces, instead of cylindrical.
Great idea for making large diameter dowels but just trying to think of what to do with them.
@@johnroberts3723 The main use will be to make legs for furniture.

Excelente! Congratulations friend
By raising up one side of the pillow blocks you could get tapered legs. 👍 😎
Absolutely brilliant!
Terrific idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
You are a genius
hey brother love the channel any good Japanese tool makers you can recommend? tia, and again i love the channel! keep it up!
Hola. Cuáles son las medidas. Está muy bueno.
I like your setup very much. I think however it would have been easier to set the bar perpendicular to the apex of the blade and run the sled laterally.

onu düşünebilmek. helal olsun.
Excellent and simple
Congratulations on the TH-cam channel. Contains very interesting material about joinery.
Muy bueno,👍
Great idea. This will be my next project.
Cool little jig. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Nice jig!
Very nice thought out jig simple but very effective at producing round spindles of various lengths and thickness take care 😀👍
Oh! Good job and qualt
great idea! thank you for sharing!
Good idea!
Very clever, well done
Muito bom gostei dmais obrigado😀👍
super idée👍👍👍
Genial!! Moltes gràcies!!👏👏👏
Thank you 👍👍👍
Why go from two winged nuts to four? I would like to make it but I want to know if the two winged nuts were not enough, so you added two more?
I’m not super familiar with table saws but I’d be worried about side loading the blade
Very nice 👍
Ótimo projeto! 👍
Really amazing work, man! Beautiful! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cool Idea, well done. What is the thickness of your sawblade? Looks very thick like 5mm or 6mm.
6mm
Thanks for watching sir.
Ez az eddigi leg tisztábban dolgozó , rúd készitö, amit a jutubon láttam!😉 EZ MÁR MAJDNEM ESZTERGA!! .🤣🤣🤣
Que buena idea. Gracias por tus vídeos 👍
Do you have part #s ? I've not see those bearing housings before. What are they called? Can I find them at Home Depot?
As alway 👍, this jig is perhaps a good idea and easy to build.
I should try it !
Great idea. Thanks

You are the master of the tablesaw!!! Great video!
Nicely done J! Very easy jig to make and gets the job done! 👍👍😉😉
Esse eu vou fazer. Muito obrigado
Great idea and it does a beautiful job. I always enjoy your content. I think I’ll be building that thanks for sharing
What size is are the pillow blocks you’ve used there?
Where do you get the parts?
Now you can make a drum sand planer ..

Nice. How small of a dowel diameter can you make?
I'm not so sure. But the minimum diameter would be over 2 cms. I'll give it a try soon.

@@Mr_Rick The technique isn't exactly the same but you can make them down to about 1/4 inch. YT search
Bastante interessante, parabéns.
Hi
I need to send you the photos of the replica of your project
How do I do that?
Wonderful
Happy to hear that. Thanks a lot.

I notice some shots with 2 lines of holes for adjustment but later shots have 4 lines of holes. Needed more to hold the bar?
It depends on how strongly those hold.
Thanks for watching sir.
magnifico trabajo
Very clever.
Any safety related issues? I would use a table saw only for it's basic purpose.
I fully agree with you sir.
This works if you start with perfectly straight square stock. With anything else, you're notgonna like the results.
Mais seguro comprar um torno de madeira...
Excelente!
