I struggle with bad anxiety and I wanted to give some simple life changing advice for that one question. I start everyday with a hot shower just to relax my body before the day, and then I go into getting dressed and doing my bible time with warm tea. Anyway that you can stick to a morning and night routine that you like is huge because I find that during those busy times we are busy but in those more down times I would have worse anxiety, so I think that helps a lot. Also anything warm is naturally calming so use a heating pad or have a warm drink at night or something maybe too. and of course being outside and taking walks are hugeee for me. I hope some of that helped, but also counseling has been great to help me with these things too. lots of love to you reading this and Michelle of course because she's incredible here as always!
MICHELLE!!! I found your account a few months ago and I can’t express how much I look forward to your posts. The details and hard work that goes into editing DOESNT go unnoticed. I admire your God-centered, slow lifestyle. Watching your videos feels like coming home :) hugs from California!
I had to set a hard boundary that I don’t work Sundays. Like I don’t answer emails, I don’t talk to my boss, Sunday is only for me. It’s so so stress relieving to be able to count on the same day every week being mine and mine only.
I honestly like seeing content creators wear the same thing twice (which I feel like rarely happens, I know they don't share their outfits every single day, but you know what I mean), I like seeing them style the same piece different ways and not having "disposable clothes". You look very cute! Have a good one 😜💛
And it also makes them feel a bit more relatable. I know it sounds a bit weird, but I mean like for people who don’t get clothes through sponsorships and style differently with different pieces of clothing. 🤍
the anxiety question is so tough. i cut back on everything that was not essential for a couple of months. my friends understood and i actually didn’t miss the trivia nights or constant weekend plans. i said no more often to extra work commitments and things like that. i used a lot of lavender oil because it helped me relax, read books on healing anxiety to learn as much as possible, and focused on taking care of my mind and body in ways that were gentle and thoughtful. i also sought help from a doctor and therapist, but i understand not everyone is in a position to do that. Within a few months I went from having to skip work due to panic attacks, to coping, to genuinely feeling like myself again. it is a process and it helps to be very introspective during this time.
@@chelseacohen3465 My favorite books were Anxiety Happens by Forsyth and Eifert, and She's Still There by Chrystal Hurst (if you want one that is more bible based). i also did research on what happens to the body during anxiety/panic attacks, if there is correlation with food or environment, how to identify personal triggers, etc.
I also struggle with anxiety and it’s always the small things that have helped me. For me having a relaxing morning helps me. Doing a daily mental health check up helps me. So that would include journaling or writing how I’m feeling. Working out always has helped me ease my stress. Lol making a cup of coffee or even buying coffee also gives me so much serotonin. I think at the end of day figuring what genuinely makes you happy or brings you peace helps. Also going to therapy is never a bad thing or communicating how you’re feeling to a loved one helps.
I absolutely loved this Michelle! I love all of your videos/ podcasts but the advice ones are always so helpful since I’m an older sister to 7 and it’s so nice to hear advice from someone instead of the other way around! So grateful for your calming, Christ-centered content, thank you for being such a light for so many people❤️
I really appreciate when I see you and other content creators wearing the same outfit twice because it makes me feel better about doing that myself. Often times I leave TH-cam or Instagram feeling like I have to buy something I saw in a video or picture which is so unhealthy for my mindset and wallet. So basically, let's make repeat outfits trendy ✌
For that one question regarding anxiety and stress, I wanted to say if you are not already, seeking out therapy and/or counselling might just change your life. As someone who used to struggle with debilitating anxiety, therapy has been the one and only thing to truly help me get a handle on it and ever since I started, my perspective on life has changed for the better. Therapy is unfortunately pretty expensive but I truly cannot put a price on the results I have gotten from it. If there is any way you can afford to get into therapy, I would 100% do it!
I love your vlogs because they're really motivating and they remember me to keep going, but I appreciate sit down videos a lot! And GRWM sit down videos are my favorite of this kind! Take care and enjoy your date nights! 💕💕
Ways i live less stressfully when busy and on the go is I make everyday things slightly ~elevated~. An example is when I shower, I light a destressing candle. When I do dishes, I wear bright pink gloves. Even I go to sleep I use silk pillow cases (got them for less expensive on Amazon). Normal things like that but boooost them. That way even if you can’t have formal “alone time” or “self care” you’re enjoying your daily tasks more!
To the person who feels like they can’t relax. Those are common anxiety responses that many people experience. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help you recognize that these feeling you have are coming from a need that isn’t being met. I love my therapist, she continues to help me build the tools to recognize these feelings and find the cause of them, which has changed my life. You don’t have to feel this way, and a therapist could help.
Love your videos! For you hair sometimes it helps to go from back to front and put the curled pieces behind your back so you don’t have to keep moving it 🙂
If you want new clothes but don't want to increase waste and have a constantly rotating closet, you should do clothing rentals. Rent the Runway and Nuuly are both good options
How did you go about making friends after you moved? I’m still struggling with that. Do you wet the beauty sponge first? Or use it dry? I’m wondering if using it while wet is part of the issues I’m having within my foundation
I can relate about the outfit repeats during the week because during my remote working my bf will come for lunch everyday and I would be so self conscious. I’m at home, not sweating, so I should be able to wear it twice but in my head it wasn’t acceptable. At the end I just gave in and told myself ok same outfit but different hairstyles haha but in reality it shouldn’t trouble us. It’s normal and it happens.
I've never had anxiety until the last couple of years. I was always so confident, outgoing and did not care how others viewed me. But now I sweat sooo much just thinking about meeting people, I start stuttering whenever I speak too. It's hard because my mind isn't like that. I'm still very chill on the inside, but my body always betrays me and that in turn makes me anxious. Terrible cycle and I have no time or money to try and fix it. Sigh oh well.
Don’t feel the need to say “I won’t make this about myself” instead meaning viewers questions because the answers were and should still be about you and from your perspective

Hi Michelle, is there any reason why you have date night on a weekday rather than on the weekend?
we'll sometimes do dates on the weekend, but I find it gives us something to look forward to during the week! it breaks up the mundane :)
