Honestly, comparing both of them really shows in such a perfect manner how much pain and anger Dabi is feeling that is so strong and ongoing that it can't be stopped. He can't heal, and Fabvl projected that perfectly with both masterpieces. I've seen many other My Hero fanmade songs, and I'm shocked at the amount of talent other fans have. Some people are so good at showing each character, and Fabvl is among that list. I hope to see more like this.

If you plan on watching it, however, the first few seasons are boring before and after each climax (and the sports festival arc is especially boring, but it holds a lot of helpful information and character development that is needed to understand the rest), but all the boring-ness is worth it once you approach the third season, the end of season 5, and the Liberation War/ Vigilante Deku arcs.

Wow. I'm honestly stunned by the powerful words in here, and the relatability of the emotion in the lyrics and instruments. I've been struggling lately, both with the animosity between me and my parents, and the fear of losing my job due to unfair circumstances, and it's been causing me severe anxiety and pain. I truly could not have asked for a better time for this version of the song to release. I know it's but a humble donation, but I could not be more thankful for the comfort this song as provided me. Thank you, truly Fabvl, for this inspiring and compelling song.

The original was already so amazing, and it's metal/rock style made it an instant favourite and 'on repeat'. It always hypes me up, even to this day. Now, it's been remade into a softer, more emotional song that somehow is still amazing in that it really reaches deep to put forth the emotions in Dabi/Fabvl's word (that manga readers love). You've taken one amazing song and turned it into two absolute bangers, hats off to everyone, keep being amazing, Fabvl. We fans will keep bopping.
I enjoy how these two versions of the aong kind of adapted to Dabi's personality throughout the arc When we meet him he seems cold, relatively apathetic, impulsive but contained. The original _cross my heart_ fits that impersonal but dangerous energy. He has a past and it clearly is part of who he is. He answers to no one, and who he is is none of your business if you're not fuelling his flames. As the story progresses Dabi becomes far more tragic, far more chaotic. You find out not only what his past is but why it fucked him up so badly. He becomes more hectic, out of control. Desperate and unhinged. He's in pain. And everyone's going to know it. Even if he has to burn the world to the ground. This version captures that progression really well. More emotional, raw. An edge to it that says "it's been personal all along." I found a couple of the vocal transitions a little bit abrupt/incongruant but otherwise i cant really find much to dislike here. Two awesome songs for a great character, thank you for sharing this with us And the video is absolute fire as well, kudos to Jeup who rarely seems to miss

This song shows your growth and how far you've come, and I couldn't be more happy and proud of you. You are one of my inspirations to make music, and I'm so happy I found you. Following the 6th season, Dabi became my all-time favorite character from any show I've ever seen. I remember hearing Cross My Heart when it first dropped in 2020 and being obsessed with it, as the anger expressed really fit the character. Now that we've dug deeper into his backstory, hearing Cross My Heart Reimagined does not only show the original version through an entirely new perspective, but it also shows the pain Dabi had to endure throughout his life and fits that feeling perfectly. With both versions of the song you've made, I can picture Dabi producing this himself both before and after the reveal in the 11th episode of season 6. This is truly a masterpiece, and the way you projected the pain that Dabi would feel if he were a real character makes me want to cry myself. I want to say that he could've addressed that pain in any other way, but I'd probably do the same thing in his shoes. And that's beside the point; the child he was growing into the person he is truly adds a lot of mystery to the entire My Hero series. Horikoshi doesn't focus the entire story on just one character, he targets a large cast of characters, spicing up the story with a plot, multiple subplots, loads of mystery, and even a spin-off manga series. Seeing fans make fanmade songs truly adds on to the masterpiece of a series Horikoshi created, and having such talented fans out there makes me proud to be a part of this large fanbase, even as exhausting and strange it can sometimes prove to be. Keep up the good work, Fabvl. I love your stuff and I hope you come out with more reimagined versions of the songs that were already a masterpiece. I honestly did not think the original Cross My Heart could be made any better than it was, but you have proven me dead wrong with this remastered masterpiece of what was (and still is) a masterpiece.

It took me to the end of the song to realize that this real imagination focuses on Dabi's reaction to pain cuz in the 1st one it was more of "I've been hurt so I'm hurting others for revenge" compared to the second,it's saying "I am hurt but I need something to help full that void and I am stuck in suffering and nothing can save me." I love how even when using the same lyrics it's just the music and the vocal changes can help change the whole meaning while sticking to the same generalization and I love how favbl does that as a music artist along with other creators live divide music. In summary,I love this song, what they did,the edits, the idea the creators and I am a massive fan.

Wow like seriously wow that redone chorus was fantastic BUT then it dropped straight into that next verse and I was blown away. You really showed Dabi's internal thoughts and exterior at the same time. The voice and lyrics (which we hear more prominently) are rough and hateful. You can tell the anger and determination, but then theres the music. The soft background adding to the harsh tone tells a different story. The music itself sounds soft, scared and sad. Its desperate and begging to be heard, to be helped while the lyrics say the opposite. Just like Dabi himself. Absolutely fantastic.

The first original song is what he seems like on the outside, cold, harsh, and rebuking society, while the second Re-Imagined song is what he's really like on the inside, troubled, mentally unstable, and in pain. The tone of these songs implicates these and I just wanted to say this was the best I've seen Dabi interpreted before, and I'm proud to see you've grown to even higher proportions from a year ago. 100 years late to this but I just want to say how incredibly much I appreciate this song. Both versions are amazing and they radiate such different emotions for his character so well. The original version radiates raw anger and this one just encompasses the trauma and the hurt so well. And as someone who has been through trauma that just changes you so completely, I’ve loved these songs. You can be angry but that that also doesn’t mean you aren’t hurt. And sometimes that pain fills you with vitriol and rage but also underlying vulnerability and fear. And I feel like the two versions you’ve made really exemplify that.
I've been around since the first version of this and re listening to it now in the version, makes me so happy to be apart of this nerd core family. The original was already so amazing, and it's metal/rock style made it an instant favourite and 'on repeat'. It always hypes me up, even to this day. Now, it's been remade into a softer, more emotional song that somehow is still amazing in that it really reaches deep to put forth the emotions in Dabi/Fabvl's word (that manga readers love). You've taken one amazing song and turned it into two absolute bangers, hats off to everyone, keep being amazing, Fabvl. We fans will keep bopping.
I enjoy how these two versions of the aong kind of adapted to Dabi's personality throughout the arc
When we meet him he seems cold, relatively apathetic, impulsive but contained. The original _cross my heart_ fits that impersonal but dangerous energy. He has a past and it clearly is part of who he is. He answers to no one, and who he is is none of your business if you're not fuelling his flames.
As the story progresses Dabi becomes far more tragic, far more chaotic. You find out not only what his past is but why it fucked him up so badly. He becomes more hectic, out of control. Desperate and unhinged. He's in pain. And everyone's going to know it. Even if he has to burn the world to the ground.
This version captures that progression really well. More emotional, raw. An edge to it that says "it's been personal all along."
I found a couple of the vocal transitions a little bit abrupt/incongruant but otherwise i cant really find much to dislike here.

The orchestra feel, the dynamics in the piano, the emotions in your vibrato, the choir and McGwire at the end, the production level by you and Divide, the master by Chris Gehringer, and the phenomenal visuals by Jeup almost broke me down. This song shows your growth and how far you've come, and I couldn't be more happy and proud of you. You are one of my inspirations to make music, and I'm so happy I found you. Following the 6th season, Dabi became my all-time favorite character from any show I've ever seen. I remember hearing Cross My Heart when it first dropped in 2020 and being obsessed with it, as the anger expressed really fit the character. Now that we've dug deeper into his backstory, hearing Cross My Heart Reimagined does not only show the original version through an entirely new perspective, but it also shows the pain Dabi had to endure throughout his life and fits that feeling perfectly.
With both versions of the song you've made, I can picture Dabi producing this himself both before and after the reveal in the 11th episode of season 6. This is truly a masterpiece, and the way you projected the pain that Dabi would feel if he were a real character makes me want to cry myself. I want to say that he could've addressed that pain in any other way, but I'd probably do the same thing in his shoes. And that's beside the point; the child he was growing into the person he is truly adds a lot of mystery to the entire My Hero series.
Horikoshi doesn't focus the entire story on just one character, he targets a large cast of characters, spicing up the story with a plot, multiple subplots, loads of mystery, and even a spin-off manga series. Seeing fans make fanmade songs truly adds on to the masterpiece of a series Horikoshi created, and having such talented fans out there makes me proud to be a part of this large fanbase, even as exhausting and strange it can sometimes prove to be.
Keep up the good work, Fabvl. I love your stuff and I hope you come out with more reimagined versions of the songs that were already a masterpiece. I honestly did not think the original Cross My Heart could be made any better than it was, but you have proven me dead wrong with this remastered masterpiece of what was (and still is) a masterpiece.

It took me to the end of the song to realize that this real imagination focuses on Dabi's reaction to pain cuz in the 1st one it was more of "I've been hurt so I'm hurting others for revenge" compared to the second,it's saying "I am hurt but I need something to help full that void and I am stuck in suffering and nothing can save me." I love how even when using the same lyrics it's just the music and the vocal changes can help change the whole meaning while sticking to the same generalization and I love how favbl does that as a music artist along with other creators live divide music. In summary,I love this song, what they did,the edits, the idea the creators and I am a massive fan.

Wow like seriously wow that redone chorus was fantastic BUT then it dropped straight into that next verse and I was blown away. You really showed Dabi's internal thoughts and exterior at the same time. The voice and lyrics (which we hear more prominently) are rough and hateful. You can tell the anger and determination, but then theres the music. The soft background adding to the harsh tone tells a different story. The music itself sounds soft, scared and sad. Its desperate and begging to be heard, to be helped while the lyrics say the opposite. Just like Dabi himself. Absolutely fantastic.
When you listen to the original, it's mostly just rage and hatred, but when you listen to this version, you can still feel that but you can feel the emotion and the sadness and pain. It hits hard. This is beautiful fabvl. Honestly thank you. 😌

#2, I've noticed both songs are like two different sides of the same coin.
The first original song is what he seems like on the outside, cold, harsh, and rebuking society, while the second Re-Imagined song is what he's really like on the inside, troubled, mentally unstable, and in pain.
The tone of these songs implicates these and I just wanted to say this was the best I've seen Dabi interpreted before, and I'm proud to see you've grown to even higher proportions from a year ago.
Ps: I wanted to say that breathy sound you give your lyrics is one of my favorite things to hear in your songs!

100 years late to this but I just want to say how incredibly much I appreciate this song. Both versions are amazing and they radiate such different emotions for his character so well. The original version radiates raw anger and this one just encompasses the trauma and the hurt so well. And as someone who has been through trauma that just changes you so completely, I’ve loved these songs. You can be angry but that that also doesn’t mean you aren’t hurt. And sometimes that pain fills you with vitriol and rage but also underlying vulnerability and fear. And I feel like the two versions you’ve made really exemplify that.
I've been around since the first version of this and re listening to it now in the version, makes me so happy to be apart of this nerd core family.
