Thanks Stevan yep it was an absolute disaster of a season last year. Bad managerial appointments cost us. We are starting to get it together now so fingers crossed we can keep playing well enough to get back up. There are bound to be bumps in the road there always are but fingers crossed 🤞

This is gut wrenching.When Blackpool beat QPR by 6 goals I believed this was the shape of things to come.Sadly this was not to be.We have got some good players and I believe the will is already there for a successful new season.

Is there a Blackpool fan with sufficient funds to buy the football club and invest in new players....that is the question. If not, you're going to have to keep faith with Simon Sadler.

Hi Lee can I just say a personal thankyou and a thankyou on behalf of all the pool fans who tune in to your vlog week in week out, it's the best by a country mile, I know you said you might wind it back in a bit next season, due to cost and the hard work you put into each vlog, totally understandable, however you are a massive part and connection to fans who can't watch pool week in week out, I don't think you realise how popular you are with the fans, I think the club should support or sponser you in some way weather it be funding for travel or free tickets to all games, they benefit massively from your commitment to the club and I don't think there would be many fans that disagree with me, keep up the good work mate, you are very much apart of this club as all fans are UTP
Thanks Paul to be honest the last thing we would want would be sponsorship from the club we are proudly independent and want to simply remain fans with our own voice.

Aww Lee, I know your pain. Thanks for the vlogs, I feel like I’ve been on the journey with you. I, like a lot of Derby fans, have had our fingers crossed for you all but it wasn’t to be. At the end of the day, football is football whatever league you are in. We have had some exciting times down here in league one. We’ve managed to keep up attendances and create a good atmosphere at times. Sometimes scratching our heads wondering how we got to be playing ( no disrespect to these teams) the likes of Forest Green Rovers, Cheltenham etc but our fans have travelled in numbers and enjoyed the ride. Blackpool fans have been magnificent in the support of their club and you deserve the praise. You have had troubles as have we, let’s hope better times are around the corner for both clubs. At the time of writing we are still in with a chance of the play offs, although I’m not going to hold my breath that we will succeed, even if we make them. I would be disappointed but not too downhearted at spending another season down here. We only had 5 contracted players at the start of the season, we have brought in freebies and loan players on fixed low wages. Not expecting that to change much next season either. Despite that we have a a good season, better than we expected. So good luck for next season and hopefully you will bounce back. Like we bounced at your place😄😄👏🏻👏🏻👍🐏🐏🐏🐏

Wasnt there but followed social media. A brilliant game swung both ways. YES I heard Wall fans quiet when not in front (that from Wall fans).They admitted on blogs. So so tense both fans obviously. Roy our tangerine devastated, but thats football. Seen loads ups and downs Wall. Hopefully you bounce back next season. Hi dc_world thanks for your thoughts and I will take 'brilliant' thank you 🙂 and yes agree totally we have simply been too easy to score against at one end and not clinical enough at the other throughout the season. This game summed up our season really even with having yet another player 'Jordan Gabriel' stretchered off putting us down to 10 men (again) and yet another player to add to the unbelievable injury list this season it is simply beyond belief!
We need to bounce back but can we? whether we do or we don't it will alway be a roller coaster of an adventure

Hi Lee. So sorry to see Blackpool go down mate. You will be back though. Apart from 4 or 5 sides League One appears weak. Derby, Bolton, Barnsley, Sheffield Wed - 3 of those will stay down and challenge and Wigan and probably Reading. I wouldn't be surprised if your in the top 6 with that lot in some order mate. A proper football fan comment thanks Kevin we will miss it too there really is nothing anywhere near as special as our derbies with you. The spectacle that was Deepdale with all the balloons and flags was incredible. You won't have that next season, you won't have Burnley either or Wigan so that is 3 local derbies gone and so far you have got Plymouth, Ipswich and possibly Southampton to replace those. Everton would be good and Bolton have a sneak of a chance but nothing compares to 'THE DERBY' game IMHO

All the cock ups made by the board not signing anyone in the summer to hiring duff managers, relying on kids on loan from PL clubs, injuries, suspensions has had us in the bottom 3 since Xmas and it is very hard to get out of. Shame they didn't hand the reins over to Dobbie instead of McCarthy I think we would have done it if they had😕 the football is so much better but there just wasn't enough games. We have thrown away so many points this season. Hopefully lessons have been learned

Great atmosphere even though all but one of the songs are pretty generic, I did like the one where you sing "I effing hate PNE" a shame to see you go down, saw my old mate Higgy on there early on, from a selfish point of view it's a handy away day for us (Stockport) next season if we can either clinch promotion next week or do it through the play offs.
Cheers Paul I think all football songs wherever you go are pretty much generic with the odd one that sometimes surprises but there is nowhere that we have been that has the whole stadium going for it throughout the game. Most grounds have been like a library.
@@LeeCharlesTV Good points Lee, I don't mind the generic songs as it's all about creating an atmosphere, ours was great for years but strangely this season which is the highest we've been for about 15 years it's gone a bit flat, it's proabably due to the influx of new fans, it's still good away but our home games are not what they were, anyway your fortunes will turn with backing like that 👍

Only a handful of players in the whole squad I think are worth keeping into next season. Jerry Yates is absolutely at the top of that list. Mansford is the number one person that needs removing from the club.

There is a junior football tournament up here this weekend there was quite a few teams who have entered the competition invited to watch the game. Apparently the young lad who ran on at halftime was from one of them which is why they removed the team 😕

Nightmare season from the get go. I will say I think it ended not brilliantly but slight better quality than when it started though. Expected more from Millwall fans last night. They were very loud when they were ahead but the times we were equalising, they were near enough silent.
It was so loud in the North we couldn't have heard them even if they had sang all game it was absolutely deafening

Yep agreed but it all just depends on how well we do. I am only really bothered about how we play, I only watch us so if we are winning and playing great football it will be better than this year, there would be no comparison to how I feel right now. Fingers crossed we bounce right back with a different squad and Sadler needs to make sure he has the right people in to find the right players that fit

when we equalised at 2-2 normally that would lift you and pump the adrenalin but we looked exhausted! Great effort but fate was written much earlier in the season! no settled team and manager who is a decent coach but not a manager as been proved before he was appointed to us! League 1 is going to be very hard. Give Sadler his due even he looked like he accepted some of the resposibility by the look on his face as the end of the game! Stephen Dobbie should be gien the chance with Adam as his assistant! No anger here towards the players but my anger has not subsided agaist Critchley who thought being number 2 at Villa was better then he nearly put QPR into relegation! He deserves what he got. I could work with Ince , Riga or McPhillips but I would never work for critchley in any capacity whasoever and he spoiled a good thing for himself as well as us! At least I will be able to get tickret for the Burton away game as I know Terry Taylor who plays midfield for them as well as Captain for the Wales U21. I hope we can keep some of the players for next year. Hopefully see Grimmy(Grimshaw) at Peter & Jennas wedding in the summer! UTMP in league 1!

Yes Critchley completely ruined it for himself chasing money such a shame because he was adored and had created a fantastic bond with the players and the fans. Quite rightly dubbed the snake.

Hi Lee, aside from the relegation has the club or EFL banned you from filming the action? In the oast few game weeks, the camera has been pointed at you rather than the pitch, prior to that you pretty much captured everything (i know editing is time consuming)
Nope it is my decision, to put it simply I am sick of the match footage ruining what I do. I do not want the videos to be watched only if we win just to see the goals and filming the match for some highlights stops me putting together a movie like this one.
This for me is one of my favourite videos so far (except the result obvs.) it has all the drama that I have wanted to convey to you and I hope that it tells the story about being a Blackpool fan at that game much better.
I am sorry if you prefer to watch the match footage but I have thought for a long time that the match footage and the result of the games boxes me in.
I would love it if everyone that follows us and our story as Blackpool fans watches these videos (that were always supposed to be about being a Blackpool fan and our journey after getting our club back and never about the match highlights) because they enjoy the stories we tell and to watch them whether we win, lose or draw. That's the goal anyway.
Also it takes away the incredible extra stress that I feel whilst filming the highlights because I need the team to WIN the game for the video to do well. Especially after I have put so much effort into filming all the stuff around the day and making a good video.

In many ways we did tbf we simply were not good enough we had so many chances to get out of it and failed. However this game encapsulated the whole season sadly...can't score, can't defend and down to 10 men with 1 stretchered off injured

One day we will but not if we set up in the summer like we did this season. Everyone I spoke to at Peterborough after we had been thumped 5-0 on the last game of the season said we needed to strengthen big time in the summer to stay up! The warning signs were clear to see and what did we do? we bought Dom Thompson, sold our best player and didn't replace the experience of Keogh. They went to Stoke 1st away game of the season and everyone could see that we lost because it was Men against Boys with Carey and Patino in midfield and yet we didn't sign the experienced big strong midfielder we needed and they've watched us get bullied in midfield game after game after game and not put it right.
It has driven me nuts if they don't sort out the spine of the team and sign some big strong experienced Men and rely on more PL kids on loan then we could easily go down again

Hi Lee & Jane….I’m gutted for you both you have both given us such entertaining videos this season. I really thought we could have escaped the drop. I wouldn’t bank on it that we will come straight back up as I think as good as SD is for the club we need a new manager who has never managed Blackpool before. Probably like the likes of GA & CW. It’s such a damn shame it has turned out this way. I know we lost marginally in this game and really needed to win it but yourself, Jane and the fans are a credit to this club and Blackpool itself. Thanks again for all you have done this season taking us with you to away games and seeing the sights of some great towns on route. I hope I can predict a better position for Blackpool next season. Aw thanks John glad we have entertained you and yes such a shame we couldn't escape it but it has been coming it was all too little too late in the end. What the club do this summer is incredibly important I'm certainly not banking on it but, if they don't get rid of Mansford then we are in trouble

We can only get 14K in James which is why the owner has committed to building the 4th stand and was clear in the summer that with the plans in place and his commitment to build it that he couldn't also strengthen the team and the risk of not strengthening has backfired big time on him

Getting emotional watching this I must be hungover
Nope it is emotional to watch I can understand it has upset me watching it back and during the editing til 5am this morning! it was emotional last night and I am very proud that I think I captured the atmosphere, the drama and just how amazing the North Stand was.
I feel I can tell a better story and make a better movie without the match footage and I think this a taster of things to come as I become more comfortable making these films the way I want to. I am very proud of this vlog even if I am bitterly disappointed today obvs.

We are disappointed Jake because we didn't strengthen in the summer, got a manager in we didn't like because of the way he left us after 10 weeks the 1st time he came here, relied on kids on loan from PL too much. sold our best player on transfer deadline day to Forest who then loaned him back to us after they destroyed his confidence sending him out to Greece and then employed another manager as soon as he got here who completely ruined him and all that was 'the bleeding obvious' 😕

Sad that we are relegated. You are right Lee this season has been a disaster with not spending on players. The game was lost when we went down to 10 men because of injury. The supporters were amazing though tbh and cheered the team to the very end. Hopefully we will be able to get back up again in League 1 next season with some good signings especially strikers which we lack at the moment as well as a good manager. We live in hope.
I hope to get to a match next season when Blackpool play Shrewsbury Town. I live in Telford now as you know so it would be a good chance to see you and Jane then. UTMP.
Hopefully we will be going to Shrewsbury Ednam. It's cost us a fortune the last 2 seasons we may not be able to afford all the away games next season

I will do more if Jane doesn't renew her season ticket? this season has not been good for her. She had to stop her writing (in the gazette for fear of being sued and she lost the very thing she loved (and she had never missed a game for 14 years including Latvia preseason) when she lost BFC during the boycott which sent her spiralling into depression. This season has brought back too much sorrow for her 😥
