Your frustration over people not respecting 2Pac or his position as the #1 rapper of all time is probably the most relatable thing. There was such a strength in his vulnerability. Complete honesty in his lyrics, and passion in his delivery. He made you FEEL everything he said. Whether he personally wants ent through it or not and that’s a hard skill to learn. That’s honestly foolish to be frustrated over someone else’s opinion. 2Pac is personally #1 for me, but you can’t expect everyone to have the same views. There’s a reason why everyone is different.

Omg I just saw that you'll be reacting to Pac's Indiana speech this weekend and I cannot wait. I’m not sure if anyone has told you this yet but 2Pac’s Thug Life was an actual movement and not just an identity. As he put it in his own words it was _“half Panther teachings from my folks and half street elements to comply with today's world”._ The acronym stood for *The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody.* He along with Mutulu Shakur (former Panther and political prisoner at the time) united all the OG criminals in the west and east coast jails to come up and implement a code of ethics. They were against things like drivebys, harm of anyone who wasn’t directly involved in the “game” (so no harming family members of anyone you personally have beef with), etc. Those who break the code have to face the consequences when they end up in the penitentiary. The most impressive part is that it actually worked. Even if it isn’t referred to as the Thug Life Code anymore, all the principles have sort of become unwritten rules for those in the street life today. It also became the foundation for the famous Watts ‘Truce Barbecue’ treaty between Bloods and Crips nearly 20 years later. _“I cannot change the dirt that is out here, but I can put it all in one corner.”_
Totally agree. This is easily Pac’s best verse in my opinion. Everything from the vulnerability, lyrics, delivery, even the sarcasm in his voice when asking white Jesus about ghetto black kids was perfect.
@@brainsqueezereactions It might be too late to tell you the story of this song. There's a poet named Maya Angelou whose poems were the centre of the Poetic Justice movie. On the movie set Tupac was acting out and ready to fight the same people who asked him to take an AIDS test before doing a love scene with Janet Jackson. Maya Angelou being an elderly woman pulled Tupac to the side, talked some sense into him and calmed him down. After what she told him, Tupac went and explored her writings including poem titled : Still I Arise. Tupac went on a mind journey through that poem and reinvented his own Thug version written down within 5 minutes.
Herringbone is a pattern used in jewelry like neclaces and bracelets. That design was super popular back in the day. I definitely used to rock one!! Nice reaction...Tupac will definitely make one start reflecting on their own life. On it as always!!
Well done to you! I initially jumped of my seat because I always preferred the other version to this song & the beat is more deep & accompanies the lyrics well however; I watched the full video so I'm not complaining great job done here! 👏🏿
Another great reaction as always! And the true mark of an artist is to make someone who hasn't gone through the same struggles be able to empathize with their struggle. Like I said before Tupac is by far my favorite rapper. To me the greatest of all time because he wasn't just an artist he was an activist and wanted to educate not only his people but the world.
I've heard this song100+ times, and I always love it. That first verse, for me personally, is the greatest verse ever. Absolutely an amazing work of art. It's almost as personal as DEAR MAMA. Love it. Love it. LOVE it. I just wish this was a Tupac solo track.

I love it!!😂 Even Today!! Till this very day all these rappers are competing with a dead man!!!! Let that sink in!!
This is one of my all time favorite songs by pac for sure 🙏 I love how he pulls you into the song in the beginning , like I said before pac had a way of pulling you into the song with his first few bars and this is a great example ! This was on my LIST 😀
This version is very good but for me the OG version is even better. And there is also a Fatal outlaw member verse in there thats the best verse from the outlaws i have ever heard. I hope you do that one because its almost a different song. Great reaction bro 💥
If anyone was curious, there is quite an interesting story behind this song and album title as they were taken from Maya Angelou’s poem of the same name and content. 2Pac met Maya Angelou while filming the movie Poetic Justice (she wrote the featured poems and had a small role as one of the three old ladies towards the end). At this time Pac was at the height of his wildin’ days. Sleeping with extras, showing up late, constantly getting into fights etc. One day Angelou came on set and saw him about to get into it with one of the staff there and no one was able to deescalate the situation. She pulled Pac to the side, calmed him down, and asked him when was the last time someone told him how important and loved he was? That his ancestors didn’t fight for their freedom to have him stand here and dishonour their legacy like this. That last part really got him because he started crying. They talked for a little while longer and he promised her that he’d do better. From that day on he was on his best behaviour every day on set. Later on while serving time in Clinton, Pac would go on to read all of Maya Angelou’s poetry books and even reach out to her to ask if one day she’d help him write his autobiography. As a child service worker, this entire situation really showcased the importance of positive reinforcement. Pac wasn’t a child but he was still very young and in his own words; immature at the time. He was 20-21 years old and was not on speaking terms with the only person who was a positive figure in his life (his mom). You can only imagine how his reaction would’ve been very different if Angelou came off as condescending or aggressive in her approach.
That's such a beautiful story. I looked it up and sure enough it was corroborated by both Maya and Janet Jackson on two separate occasions. Makes you wonder where 2Pac could have been today if he had that type of unconditional positively around him. If there is anything I have learnt from being a mum it’s that no child ever acts up without a reason.
"when was the last time someone told him how important and loved he was? That his ancestors didn’t fight for their freedom to have him stand here and dishonour their legacy like this" What a powerful and intelligent woman.
Wow...I have a copy of that poem. When I saw the title I thought of her poem but I didn't know about Tupac's time with her. I watched poetic Justice last week for about the fourth time. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Hector, I know you got tons of Tupac songs on your list but if you ever get a chance listen to “Smile” It’s a song with Tupac and Scarface. Awesome lyrics, great beat and the singing just puts it over the top. I guarantee you will definitely feel the vibe in this track. Even if you don’t react to it you owe it to yourself to listen to what he has to say in that track. One of my favorites and I’ve listened to 99.9% of Tupac’s songs. 🎶🔥🎶
Against all odds, though life is hard we carry on Livin' in the projects, broke with no lights on To all the seeds that follow me, protect your essence Born with less, but you still precious; just smile for me now! That’s my favourite bar ever
great reaction one of my favourite songs of 2pac i have most of his albums and cd's 59 all together he has a poetry book out that you might be interested in its called the rose that grew from concrete
He recited his complete life cycle in one verse effortlessly. One of his greatest gifts was the ability to tie in storylines fluidly while connecting with the listener. Social commentary without the minutiae. Spoke plainly, no Dr. Seuss-ery or constant metaphor needed. People saying that he wasn't lyrical or lacked flow is laughable. The signs of simple minds with no understanding get left behind. They completely missed the point. Carry on young Hector...I'll be watching
Pac, Nas and Em are my 3 favorite rappers of all-time. Kendrick, Cole and Joey Bad Ass of the past 10-12 years. Biggie, Jay, Rakim, KRS-ONE, DMX, Ice Cube, 50 and Snoop are also in my list of favorites!
Yesssssssss 👍 this is just what I needed … it’s so hard to say any ☝️one ✌️pac verse is the best frrrr💯💯💯 But this is definitely a contender… so much pain and truth it’s almost overwhelming 🥺
@@brainsqueezereactions Don't feel stupid. Ill get crucified for saying this by some of the fans, but some of the re released tracks are better than their original versions. This album is one of the best examples of how to update old tracks without losing the essence of what they were trying to express while recording them. For many of the tracks on this album, the beats are pretty close to the originals, and that ones that are radically changed, they did a good job on them. The thing about many of the unreleased tracks is that they were not finished, and were basically rough drafts or demo versions that had not been polished yet. It's very possible that a lot of the originals would have went through alterations anyhow had 2pac not died. That being said, some original tracks should have been released as is, and were absolutely destroyed by tying to make them sound modern, but it comes down to personal taste. Those who heard the songs before they were released officially are going to always prefer the originals since that is what they know and how they first heard them, and likewise, those who heard the altered versions first are probably going to prefer those.
It say you can as my man he's a mind reader By the way I love your break downs of PAC songs Iv been a fan for years and I'm learning new stuff from watching you thank you brother
Yeah the projects is one part of the ghetto I love both versions of Still I Rise I'm loving your reaction thank you for showing Tupac the love he deserves
The stuff I was going through early in life was crucial especially in the streets of Boston ,Ma. like Roxbury and Dorchester and definitely mattapan I rapped about it but Tupac gave me the chills it was like he was running around with me man it's was crazy I was good but he's the goat only because he made me feel like I wasn't alone and to keep fighting for life I forever love you Mr Shakur
Bob Marley sang "One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain." He wasn't around long enough to hear Tupac. A listener is able to confront a lot of unresolved issues through the pain in his voice and his poignant lyrics. Great reaction again, man! The projects is government housing.
Bro i owned this album and everyone before it, and after lol you remind me of a younger me trying to explain to my friends how good this man is. Once they caught on? They were forever hooked. I started the 2pac butterfly effect with those around me. All eyes on me was what started my 2pac journey. I was like 9
It’s a good picture creating good feelings because he’s in it he wants people coming out the darkness into the light where everything is bright, happy, and successful 💯

That his ancestors didn’t fight for their freedom to have him stand here and dishonour their legacy like this"
What a powerful and intelligent woman.
Already known that but I appreciate you spreading this to people who aren't more familiar with Pac. Keep it up
Wow...I have a copy of that poem. When I saw the title I thought of her poem but I didn't know about Tupac's time with her. I watched poetic Justice last week for about the fourth time. Thanks for sharing!
Projects are like "council housing" in the UK.....
It was me! I requested letter to the president I'm going to consider that as a shout out woooppp haha
Yes sirrrrrrr. My favorite Pac verse ever. I listen to this every single day on my 2 hour drive to work and back
This probably my second favorite after the me against the world third verse
Tupac was a Lyrist! His music is deep and powerful!

Excellent song and reaction/ break down as always. Listened till the end and love ya man
The Original version is so powerful, you can feel his pain. The beat is perfect!
Hey Hector,
I know you got tons of Tupac songs on your list but if you ever get a chance listen to “Smile”
It’s a song with Tupac and Scarface.
I just saw this comment after I posted. 😂💪💪💪💪
Sold my soul for material wishes fast cars and bitches
Against all odds, though life is hard we carry on
Livin' in the projects, broke with no lights on
To all the seeds that follow me, protect your essence
Born with less, but you still precious; just smile for me now! That’s my favourite bar ever
Nothing in the last 25 years can touch an average TuPac track. I still tear up on some of his lyrics.
I love that there's someone else out there just like me who reads into pacs lyrics. Yes. I love u my brother!!!
Tamim 🙌🤯🧠🙌🔥 Thank you and love you being here!!!
Hands down the best track ever written. 🙌
Going off your comments of your father, listen to Pac - Papaz Song.
Fire reactions as always!
I remember buying this album i use to ride bumping this in my car
Pac's lyrics always got u, that's why he's the best eva!!
great reaction one of my favourite songs of 2pac i have most of his albums and cd's 59 all together he has a poetry book out that you might be interested in its called the rose that grew from concrete
🤯🧠 Lets go MorningStar!
I still bump it everywhere.
Projects is the ghetto where people are living I love how u break it down my guy all love my g
Yesssssssss 👍 this is just what I needed … it’s so hard to say any ☝️one ✌️pac verse is the best frrrr💯💯💯
But this is definitely a contender… so much pain and truth it’s almost overwhelming 🥺
Education !!! Yes sir, you are getting it !!!🙌🏾
Another one added 🔥🙌
2PAC IS JUST AMAZING!
The only drug taken by ear rip pac

When you have a chance do the OG versions of The Still I Rise album you will feel this album even more then you do
Im such an idiot, i didnt check on this one, thats my bad 🤯🧠
@@brainsqueezereactions absolutely check the original
It say you can as my man he's a mind reader
By the way I love your break downs of PAC songs Iv been a fan for years and I'm learning new stuff from watching you thank you brother
Thats amazing! Thank you 🤗🤗🤗✊️🧠🤯

Thank you kxng 🧠🤯
You're welcome Tupac is my favorite rapper. he is the goat to me keep doing what you are doing. You shows how great Tupac is from another side.
2pac the 🐐
He paints a picture with his lyrics. This songs more detailed than some movies I've seen. Always has been one of my favorites
That flow is something else on this track
The og version includes one of the best outlaws verses (Fatal). Check it out
No rapper can deliver like 2pac this is not human
A herringbone is a necklace!
Bob Marley sang "One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain." He wasn't around long enough to hear Tupac. A listener is able to confront a lot of unresolved issues through the pain in his voice and his poignant lyrics. Great reaction again, man!
The projects is government housing.
Thank you Frank and Bob Marley had it right! 🤯🧠
Bro i owned this album and everyone before it, and after lol you remind me of a younger me trying to explain to my friends how good this man is. Once they caught on? They were forever hooked. I started the 2pac butterfly effect with those around me. All eyes on me was what started my 2pac journey. I was like 9
I feel u man, I totally get what u r saying. King Pac does that to me every time I listen to him. Luv Pac 4life
It’s a good picture creating good feelings because he’s in it he wants people coming out the darkness into the light where everything is bright, happy, and successful 💯
He is mind Reader
Love your reaction of the first 60 secs... he was an amazing artist.....
One of the best you get it 😎
Tupac is on another level, his voice, flow lyrics are incredible. No one is like Tupac.
