6:03: I discovered an easier way to switch seats on PS5: change the input type for the interact button (X) from Press to Tap, and then hop in the FRV, press X to switch seats, and never worry about opening the map again.
@ If you open the map inside the car to mark/ping something in it, you will switch seats. So, change the map marking button (X by default) to something else.
Another tip: Hop on the HMG turret, point it in the opposite direction and down, and return inside the FRV. This will give you more room to aim across the car's roof.
Love how when a charger hits me I'm ragdolled across the map and killed by impact, but when I drive a 2 ton vehicle into a hunter or devastator they get a minor flinch

Your rocket explodes on a short timer after launch (maybe 80 meters away from you, or even less) and bomblets then fall on the ground. So uh... With this mode you can't engage long range targets at all. But you can fire it upwards and bomblets will fall on your head basically. Idk who in Arrowhead thought it's gonna be useful or fun. Their takes on "cool things" are super weird most of the time.

It makes the launcher reliable at your average engagement distance and almost completely eliminates its teamkilling potential. The default mode is very situational and mostly useful against targets at distances where you usually don't have to engage in the first place.

They Devs should look at it and give the player the possibility to also shot from the drivers seat. Also: Remove HMG from the back and let the Helldivers use their own guns and support weapons from it. Right now it feels more of a handycap. Its somehow in the way when fireing over the roof. AND The mechs have a hatch on the top. Why not giving the mechs the same mechanics? Press C to open hatch and shoot from it or throw strategems.
these + autocannon and a sickle is so fun to just around the outside of the city areas take the shield out with the sickle and snipe through the door you can also snipe the walkers shield from any distance so you can kinda help teammates out no need to even step out of the car when you can reload an autocannon while driving
The FRV’s mounted HMG should be replaced with the HMG Emplacement or at least some variation of it. Essentially, a bigger gun with more ammo… Which means more FUN!!! Outside of the cool factor, I rarely see any Divers using the currently mounted HMG to any effect. It’s simply too inaccurate and ammo hungry to be effective especially when on the move. As the video highlights, it’s far more effective to just drive around and use your Primary or Support Weapon instead. Additionally, considering how easily the FRV can be destroyed/ immobilized I don’t think AH could go wrong with such change.
Apparently you can also carry the ssd in it? I personally havent tried it but I heard you just do the same trick of entering from the other side and switching seat to the driver If it's true, this is awesome because this means you can pretty much carry it solo in the car.
I can already FEEL the drool of the AH anti-fun-league over their desperation to nerf this most glorious feature. It’s like when during the summer break all we heard was threats of having the commando (the only unequivocally liked new weapon) nerfed so we could no longer destroy random worthless sheds from a distance using a rocket launcher. I’m being 100% serious when I say that in convinces that the success of HD2 was 80% fluke and 5% intro, 4% loading screen Dun Dun Dun DUuuUuUuUuUun, Duuun Duuuuuuun musical sting and 10% IMPACT from those most glorious BOOMs. The final 1% is the “gap” in the market for a high fidelity PvE extraction shooter.

anybody have any tips for not having the FRV immediately explode on Bot missions? I love it for bugs but it got destroyed within 30 seconds the first time I brought it in against automatons.
@@LaserTractor i mean, when we had mechs there were not much about it, and since there are no keybinds for the vehicle in the option too i didn't bother too much about it, specially about reload since i used it only to drive for now
It's good fun because it increases mobility. Conversely anything that removes/hinders mobility (i.e. RAGDOLLING FOR NO REASON) decreases the fun value. It's really that simple.
The thing is way too top heavy for something that's as squat at this thing is, that and it has practically zero traction on every surface, yeah lower the gear to 1 or 2, still doesn't help sometimes, it was clearly "tested" using a controller because KB&M is either full throttle or nothing. That said yeah it is simply way too easy to flip for something that is as wide as this thing is but also does not have that high of a suspension system, it's good for mobility and getting across the map faster but that's it and even then it's a huge risk to yourself and any unfortunate teammates that put any trust the broken physics in this game. Also as a side note, who the hell said that this future offroad military vehicle that mainly the "special forces" of this universe didn't require run flat tires? Really?! like a single slice from a hunter and boom your drifting nonstop.
It's fun and useful but it still has It's problems, being able to use stradagems while inside if your not the driver or the gunner, being able to actually take it off a jump without having it nose dive (like cmon they practically ripped us off with what they were showing in the trailers in that regard), being immune to melee damage while inside (like seriously you have a slab of armored vehicle between you and the attackers), fix all that and I would consider the FRV perfect

Also the thing rolls away from you constantly, "Oh I want to stop here" and the FRV says "oh you wanted me to stay in neutral and keep going down this slight incline, or flat terrain? okay will do boss", that kinda bs.
@hawk9mm for sure, i make sure to come to a complete stop when ever I get out of it and it still starts to slowly slide down even the slightest of uneven terrain, like a slope or hill I get but everything else keep that thing in place, also if they added a feature if 3 or 4 players could flip back over the FRV that would be dope but make it take up everyone's stamina or something

It's funny how the HMG in the back is kind of a ruse, the car's real strength is being able to use any support weapon and reload it on the move.

dude i learned so much from this one video the reloading and seat switch strat is insane
FRV is just a better jump pack. One guy can bring a strat that lets the whole squad outrun enemies so fast that everything despawns.
I had a few very easy extractions running from the opposite of the map to the extraction point and no bugs spawned. This was on lvl 7 difficulty.
It's like im back playing halo 3 with the boys.

One thing is that it looks like the car has dedicated doors on the top of it to either aim or enter. But the helldiver only shoots from the side door.
