(I live outside Japan so it would be impossible for me to book this directly at the train station.. Haha I can only book it on my first day in Japan and I hope to be boarding this train on my 3rd day-- so only 2 days gap!)

This train is very popular among Japanese people today and reservations are really hard to get. Every day you can make reservations for the day one month in advance, but within seconds all the seats are booked up.
