The Ju-87 G "Kanonvogel" is my absolute favorite WWIi aircraft. Undoubtedly because I read this book at age 12. I'm now 62, I relate better to the narrative better than ever. Rudel is the ultimate 'tank ace'. This book is better the second time around. Thank you.
Jay and everyone here: I wish you a merry Christmas from my fatherland Finland, where I am visiting my brother and old father! I have just come back from graveyard visit, where I paid respects to my grandfather who was a veteran of all three wars, that Finland had during WW2 (Winter war, Continuation war, both against Soviets and Lappland war against Germany). Looking forward to Christmas Special, Jay as Santa Claus is way cool😉
Merry Christmas to all! Thanks for another great episode. Love this version of the Stuka. A definite forerunner of the ‘Panzer Knacker’ A-10 Thunderbolt. Imagine what Rudel could have done with one of those!
Thank you for your efforts. I can appreciate the hard work that goes into this, especially when you see AI channels sprouting up everywhere. I doubt im alone when i say it makes a huge difference to the diaries to be read by a human. Personally, as a former soldier i find there's something very disrespectful about these being read by machines.
Thank you brother! As you may know I started with an AI voice, but as you said, it's just not the same. Reading it myself brings it way more to life. Enjoy 🫡
Ahh the perfect way to start the day 😊 Thank you once again for another amazing chapter and from me and my family to you and your family I hope you have a great Xmas 🎄
TY J 🙏🙏. From their high point to holding on, & what emotions they must have gone through. Earlier in the Libyan desert, RAF Hawker Hurricanes used 40mm gun pods & the Americans gave their Aircobras to the Soviets with 37mm cannon, which they liked. Mosquitoes had a 57mm, German & American planes carried 75mm in the end. Recoil must have been terrific/terrifying in one go!
Indeed one of the main concerns during testing was the recoil of the gun. In other planes as well: The 75mm on the HS-129 was hilariously chaotic and every shot was a risk to the entire aircraft 😅
Merry Christmas everyone! Tomorrow there will be a special Christmas episode. Until then, enjoy!
Merry Christmas Brother! For you I wish for more success and prosperity, health and happiness! God bless!!

This series is extremely interesting Jay. loving it 🙂
Happy to hear it! I quite enjoy reading it, too!
Rudel fought under the Cross against the pentagram, this makes things quite clear.
Merry Christmas ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Merry Christmas Ron!
WOW! Those men were truly brave. I cannot imagine the feelings of loss they endured as their mates got killed.
I guess one gets used to it after a while, and then after some time again it all comes back to your mind...
Really enjoying this series. Great selection.
Thank you very much for staying with me all this time my friend!
Were he a yank, 47 movies would have been made of him by now.
This was one very amazing pilot, to put it very mildly!
You're right. But who knows, maybe we'll get an adaptation one day. Times are changing 🫡
Not as long as Hollywood and the entertainment industry is controlled by the 'U Know Who'. Just ask David Irving or Ernst Zundel.@@TrenchDiaries

Lets face it, he was beyond shit hot......12 rounds per side, and sometimes getting 4 tanks a sortie.....
He was something else indeed! The gun camera footage is awesome!
Well the words of AH "world falling into an appaling chaos from which there is no way out" wasn't too far off the mark was it!?...
Depends on who you ask, but yes 🫡
