One of the highlights of my life was getting to see Pearl Jam perform this live in the 90s during a co-headline tour with Iggy effin' Pop!

Uncle Neil was ill. He was supposed to induct PJ, but last minute David Letterman filled in. I am 100% sure he would have been there had he been physically able

I feel the same. I listen to them everyday, Jeremy is my personal favorite, especially the live versions. I will be devastated when the bad news comes too, but i am glad we both were born while they exist. I'm 23 as well, i hope i can see them live sometime soon
It's so great to see young fans appreciating the brilliance that is PJ. I was 18 when PJ became a band. They quickly became my fave. I was 24 when I first saw them live. There is simply nothing like it. 🥰
My hope for you is what I've had with Journey. 50 years! Bands change over the years, we lost Steve Perry from the band years ago. Pearl Jam will be yours forever one way or another ❤

Class move by Jeff. Also Mike McCready letting Neal, Alex and Trevor solo was a gracious move on his part. The guys in Pearl Jam are class acts all the way.

Neil Schion is one of the greatest guitar players of all time. And one of the most versitile, he and Eddie Van Halen were contemporaries before either Journey or Van Halen hit it big

I saw them here in Portland Oregon in 2009 or so (my brain doesn't remember the exact date hee), at the Rose Garden Arena. When I lived in Seattle the first album came out so I was a fan from the beginning. The most energetic band ever!! PEARL JAM FOREVER!!!!

so what you will want to do now, is watch the neilyoung/pearljam version of this song performed on the Mtv music awards. to this day it is my favorite performance, i ball like a baby almost every time. pay attention to Eddie though, he keeps looking back and jeff and neil playing the guitar like he can't believe what he's seeing. it's almost to much to watch. it's music tapping into the soul, into the core, into the very fiber of the existence of the condition of the emotionally connected human being from 1 to another. man i would have given anything for neil to have made this ceremony.....

Why is Alex's solo volume so low compared to Neil Schon's?...it took me 4 listens to hear his nuanced brilliance...his look of pain at 3:41 shares my theory...I was at RUSH's induction in LA, the jam sessions never seems to be mixed right. I'm not a sound person but these guys are the pioneers of what we love, shouldn't they get the best in the business for these events?

@@easytalkcafe my friends and I are all big PJ fans. Some of us started a band in the early 2000's. This is what we warmed up with every practice. We would play it at least 3-4 times.
