Thank you for your comment, chuong le. Are you considering buying the Tannoy Turnberry GR? The Tannoy Turnberry GR is a great speaker. This speaker makes music more enjoyable. Woodwinds, percussion, brass, and strings all sound beautiful. The cello sounds especially pleasant. The Turnberry speaker unit has a diameter of 25cm, but the DPS bass reflex system produces very rich bass. This speaker produces too much bass with a non-feedback vacuum tube amplifier. I think a moderate negative feedback amplifier would be better. If you want a more delicate and sparkling mid- and high-range sound, try the Kensington GR with alnico magnets, the recently released Sterling III LZ Special Edition, or the hard-to-find Turnberry GR LE. The LOWTHER is my favorite unit. I think this unit is distributed in the order PM6 PM2 PM4. The order of distribution is proportional to the difficulty of creating the speaker's sound. Due to the characteristics of the strong magnet and light cone paper, the enclosure requires a small air chamber, narrow throat, and long sound path. The sound path of the backloaded horn enclosure in this video is 3.6m. It is said that the sound path is long and the bass is delayed, but the bass of the Turnberry bass reflex sounds delayed. The LOWTHER with a sound path of 3.6m sounds more responsive, and the bass of the Tannoy sounds delayed. The two types of speakers in my house have completely different sound tendencies. Tannoy has a glittering sound that is unique to Tannoy. LOWTHER has a direct sound like an instrument or voice is playing in front of you. LOWTHER can also reproduce deep bass depending on the settings. No subwoofer is required. This is my personal experience. Each person feels differently.

Hi there, thank you very much for your clear response. I now have musical affairs grand crescendo with phy alnico fullrange and maybe it is better than turnberry? Perhaps I have to match it with better amplifier instead single ended non feedback low wattage. Br Le
