The LORDS promise of salvation is eternal. HIS gift of redemption thru HIS grace and mercy is a constant. If it wasn’t then HE would be a liar which HE is not. That is a literal impossibility, it is the other that is the father of lies. HE does not play with HIS promise like it is an on/ off switch. It is the human with their flickering emotions hitting the on/ off switch themselves playing with the switch over and over and not realizing it. One day on next day off etc. this mental yo-yo of ones salvation is played by the human. In another perspective its one day a feeling of strong faith in the LORD and the next day questioning ones faith in the LORD. Up and down the feelings go day by day week by week. It is one way to strengthen ones faith muscles until it is built up enough to stop playing light switch or yo-yo games regarding true faith in HIS promise. Man goes back and forth with this issue not the LORD. Trust HIS promise. We don’t get an official degree of salvation that we can frame and put on the wall as if its once graduated always graduated diploma. We don’t earn the gift, we accept it. Some days you do some days you don’t. Its a matter of flickering faith.
