Huh 🤔 that actually would make sense dark link is just a obstacle that link has to overcome he’s not an enemy that comes from GanonDorf or anything and considering the master sword trials are just A challenge for a link to get his true sword then it would have perfect for the game
@@Mii_F It definitely wouldn't be that, sorry. The Fierce Deity is a warborn god, and has the power to destroy an entire moon. The Fierce Deity would kick Link's ass with no effort, especially since OoT Link had to limit himself to using the mask only in boss rooms so he didn't end up killing everyone he saw relentlessly because the mask was even more powerful than Majora's mask and would definitely overtake the body of anyone who used it.
Out of all the dark link appearances, the twilight version actually was the most creepy type of death I ever seen...

I like how Nintendo reminds people to face your shadow self. It's actually the negative qualities that we hide from other people. You can find your shadow self in your dreams, lucid.

Dark Link's battle in Ocarina of Time is such an underrated part of the game. For one, him only becoming visible once you pass him once is an early horror VG cliche & (I'd imagine) prob one of the first times it was ever used in 3D games. Then the entire room is literally a representation of "reflection". It's all just awesome.
I actually *Avoided* the little "Island" with the tree. Apparently, he only comes out when your reflection vanishes from the water, *WHICH ONLY* happens if you walk over the Island!!

One of the most difficult enemies in the Zelda series, because you are fighting against your own self. I am quite curious as to his origin.
I believe each version of him has different origins. The one I particularly like the most is the one from Hyrule Warriors. Dark Link being born from Link's own inner darkness is pretty interesting.

Dark Link is supossed to be the physic representation of Link´s inner problems, anguishes, doubts and bad feelings (Link´s darkside) with the only purpose to become him bad, corrupt him or kill him, but he is also the way Link can get rid of all that and be more confident about himself and follow his duty without any doubts.
He is also a way he (Link) can prove he is worthy of the triforce of courage and the Master Sword and also get stronger emotionally and physically.

Shadow Link is born from Link's shadow. Appears in Adventure of Link, Oracle of Ages, A Link to the Past GBA, Four Swords Adventures, Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds, Tri Force Heroes and Link's Awakening remake.

I have always loved how Ocarina´s Dark Link gets more "solid" and darker the more you hit him or you get hurt.
He gets more solid over time, not when he's taking damage.

Dark Link/Shadow Link is amazing. I always wondered what happened to OoT's version, as it doesn't look like he really died; it looks like he just disappeared. But maybe Link was just fighting the dark side within himself, and Dark Link/Shadow Link only exists within Link, so maybe it's just a metaphor.

I actually like Four Sword Shadow Link as I like how you have to escape a Bomb that he throws and how he can duplicate into 4 like the 4 coloured link’s
And how sometimes only certain links can attack him as he challenges that colour link.
It’s just an awesome fight plus it’s multiple times too because of the Mirror the darkness holds which I find the best moment of Shadow Link in my opinion

Fun fact: in the Adventure of Link, that's not Dark Link or Shadow Link. It's "Link's Shadow" and fighting it is only a test to see if Link is worthy to hold the Triforce.

I feel like Link’s Awakening Dark Link was a missed opportunity for a Dark Souls-style invasion mechanic, to add in some multiplayer aspects to the game a bit.

Which this remake includes 4 swords to collect then u go in a lair then the four swords will generate the shadow of the four sword heroes
Should be a future main antagonist of legend of Zelda game who actually causes chaos over Hyrule throughout the whole game with many encounters it would be pretty epic and you would end being an outcast as folks will believe you responsible for all the terrible acts.

I'm actually kind of proud of myself, because I found a way to use his whole "jumping on my sword" thing to my advantage. See, if you hit "A" to knock him off, you get a split second to do a jump attack on him if you time it right.

I have a theory that dark link is just one of the heroes of time from a different timeline corrupted by ganon. The reason he knows all of link’s moves is because he learned them in his original timeline.

It's not. In both Link's Adventure and Ocarina of Time, Dark Link is literally your own reflection. Your shadow literally jumps out of your body in the former case and in the latter case, your reflection disappears once you approach the dead tree.
