I realized this morning that I forgot to shout out my good friend and cohort @tonyscapone! When I was looking to add Gamble I wasn't sure whether to play all 4 in the main deck or to play one in the sideboard. I looked at Tony's recent Challenge win and saw not only all 4 in the maindeck, but that Tony was also feeling the same way about Galvanic Relay and cut it a week earlier without me noticing! So probs to the original Gambler here.
I need to start an annual savings account called "Eternal Weekend's Coming, Bryant Will Overhaul the EPIC Storm, Shits Gonna Get Wild, Funds For New Pimped Card List". 😭
been loving all the TES vids!!!! The new gamble and bauble tech is nuts and so much fun thank you for all the work you do on this amazing deck every day!
I'm in a very fortunate spot in my life, 10 years ago I would've been shocked where I am today. But I agree that I own too many copies of some cards like the spare set of JPN foil Leyline of the Void that I recently listed.
RED ENTOMB!!!!!!!! I have to say, I like the urza's saga, it finds the bauble for the slow matches and also gives you a plan B with the constructs and it can be fodder for beseech. I'm going to miss the relays but with how fast the format has been, i think that gamble is the way to go. It even improves mulligan since you can now keep gamble and LED as a second route to echo
I got a new idea for a deck. Using necrodominance. Here it is. 4 brainstorm, 4 dark ritual, 4 show and tell, 4 necrodominance, 4 thoughtseize, 2 grim tutor, 3 ponder, 4 omniscience, 3 griselbrand, 2 atraxa, 1 emrakul aons torn, 2 tendrils of agony, 4 drawn from dreams -(would like dig through time here), 2 impulse 17 lands. No force or daze but using necro to draw into combo. Just a deck i thought of. I play a similar deck in timeless in mtg arena, i use necropotence instead but both are good. Very fun when you can play your whole deck and then tendrils after. goal is play show and tell onmi then play atraxa or gris draw and then storm off.
hey bryant, could you please explain why you cast veil first at 14:55 ? i'm not trying to say it was wrong and i have very little knowledge/experience of legacy, i'm just looking to start a genuine conversation especially with how that play pattern may or may not be applicable in modern now that we're playing veils. thank you very much.
Bryant, if Blood Moon is such an issue, would you ever consider keeping the Feed the Swarm as a wishable target but maindecking a copy of Withering Torment, which just came out? Yes, it is 3 mana, but it is instant speed and only requires 1 black pip, plus it is a mainboard answer to Blood Moon should you want to blow it up in the end step of your opp's turn to set up a win on yours. Just food for thought.
That's just not a viable Legacy card, I'm sorry. Especially not in the main deck. The issue is Chalice/Bauble PLUS Moon. You can beat either or fairly easily, but both is the problem and this card doesn't help that.
I’ve always disliked the randomness of Gamble. Sometimes it just makes you lose. But it’s more versatile than Entomb, and I like Entomb + Echo draw engine. Gamble is almost always better than Entomb. When you have to use it in non-deterministic way, it often solves the situation if luck is on your side. And it’s not a dead card against graveyard hate. That’s a critical difference vs Emtomb.
While Gamble is random, it requires a lot of skill to play correctly to minimize the risk. You have so much experience with the deck and you evaluate all the possibilities carefully. That’s the requirement for successful Gamble use. But it can still go wrong. Wondering whether Gamble adds stress in long tournaments. Sometimes it will fail and if it happens at worst possible time, then you are out of the tournament. That would suck.
But I guess sometimes you lose to mulligans too and sometimes by opponent having two forces in their opener. Combo player has to learn to minimize the risk to be successful. If you mostly Gamble for Echo, then it’s not a risk. Otherwise, you need to get rid of a hate piece to win. Might as well take the risk in that situation.
Gamble is certainly more mana efficient and faster than a chain of Ponders and Brainstorms. Get what you want immediately. That’s obviously very strong.

Glad that you enjoy it!
Storm is wild. The deck plays vexing bauble and immediately scoops to vexing bauble in the mirror haha
It's such a joy for me to watch your videos, especially when you play TES, thank you for your content ! Continues comme ça ! ^^
Glad you like them!
Glad to hear that you're selling some of your unused cards! The way MTG cards get printed nowadays the majority of my legacy collection is unplayable.

Cool deck evolution! The audio has a weird static when you talk btw.
I'm aware, but it's already edited. Not much I can do at this point. Glad that you enjoyed the video.
Damn! The way you navigate those combo lines is so impressive.
Thanks for the kind words!
Always enjoy listening to your thoughts in the deck tech! Thanks for sharing Bryant! Look forward to playing this gamble saga list myself!
Glad you enjoyed!

Agreed all around
TES is always the best content on this channel! I loved the gamble, we are in a world where red is used for tutoring only 😂
Abrade, Relay, Empty, and Song would like a word!
The lag yesterday was insane!
Just awful
Sweet brew! Good luck and have fun at EW🌩️
Thanks!
You heard it here folks, Bryant loves gamble!
That's what I wanna fucking see here. Dope list I love it
S=BT^2. It’s just a theory, but Bryant and Tony together is a perfect storm.
Wake up babe, new TES video just dropped

I think I wanna proxy it

The alternative is Gamble first. What if you discard the veil?
@@TheEPICStorm ah of course! thank you so much, just not used to legacy lol.

How many times gamble „betrayed“ you in all your matches with it?
No clue

I believe its significantly better! I was telling some people last night that I often use it just as a one-mana Demonic Tutor.

Cmon, it's just red Entomb.
It is! (at least for me )
