- "Fox After Breakfast" was Fox' competitor to "The Today Show" and "Good Morning America." This is from the "Keys To Ascension" period. Rick Wakeman's infamous humor is evident in this interview segment.
Part 2: • Yes on Fox After Break...
wow! this is SO cool! SO good to see them all together as the supergroup we remember the most!
Amazed. As much as I like Bruford, Rabin, and Horn, this lineup of Anderson, Howe, Wakeman, Squire, and White is to me the classic Yes (Yessongs) lineup. Got to admit I'm surprised, though, to see them with the muppets and this obnoxious announcer ('There's Steve Howe. He's in Yes too!') Give me a break.
"this is my wife steve" hahaha i almost died!!! :L :L
Haha, so great. Rick Wakeman always cracks me up.
Cameron Brady He is a real funny guy. Gotta love Rick Wakeman
o Chris! rip / ❤️ them forever
Saw this live and was shocked to see Wakeman and Howe back.
That was really cool, thanks for sharing! I saw the performance part of this appearance but wasn't aware there was a breakfast gathering, thanks for recording and sharing. I'll post it to my Facebook timeline to share it with others and give proper credit.
Best regards and wishes... 🤔🙄😉
I remember taping this and watching live. Seems like it was just a few years ago. No better way to capture NY than America
On Fox!? xD And just LOOK at that crowd!! No matter what's going on in the world, no matter how _BONKERS,_ and ....l'm smack in the middle of the Covid - 19 outbreak... these Artisans are _always_ spirit lifters! l couldn't BE happier! Thank you for your brilliant compositions, and an extra hat tip Wakemans eternal humour!
You'd think just once these super groups could go out and battle evil.
Isn't that the guy from Dancing with the Stars? Anyway, good to see the band in happier times.
It's too bad this lineup didn't last to the turn of the century.
MandrakeMoorglade It never did (last). And sadly, it never will again.
screwyootube1 I hear the surviving original members will be reuniting onstage for the first time at the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction. It will be Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman, Tony Kaye, Steve Howe, Alan White and Bill Bruford. Geddy Lee of Rush is also rumored to fill in on bass for the late Chris Squire. I still miss The Fish's monstrous bass playing and I am looking forward to hearing how Geddy Lee will pull of Chris's chops on the bass.
Yes, it will be extraordinary! I am confident Geddy will do them justice - he is probably the greatest living bassist in the rock era. And, no worries of him attempting to overshadow the others, as he is also one of the humblest musicians, too (no doubt, a result of his Canadian upbringing, lol). This could be one of the best R&R HoF musical assemblages to date!
screwyootube1 I just read the news that Geddy Lee did an awesome job filling in for the late Chris Squire with Yes at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction tonight. He really did Chris proud and I am looking forward to seeing their live performance aired on HBO on April 28.
Actually they did. I saw this lineup in 2004.
Podrían traducirlo please? Gracias!
What's with the muppet?
miss Chris and OMG look at Jon long hair lol
During the "Chubby Jon" period lol
+perpetualchange1 correction: During his "healthy" period..... too many problems soon after.
David Pullen - Chubby Jon was 1994.
Poor Steve.
It's great to see the Yessongs lineup of the band, but they look out of their element here with these dweeb announcers, like they're being introduced as some kind of latest pop sensation, not the incredible progressive band they are. I also didn't think much of their performing Simon and Garfunkel's "America." They looked out of their element, doing a song that didn't bring out their best. It looked embarrassing to me.
Who on earth fox after breakfast?
What mean you? :)
This to me was an embarrassment for Yes. I don't t know why they decided to deal with these people. Fox??? Give me a break. The host of this show even thought it was a joke and that the band wouldn't really show up. The choice of songs Yes began to play was even worse:. A Paul Simon song like "America?" Totally, in my opinion, inappropriate.
Wait...I just read the show's captions with their names...these guys are in Yes??
