In theory it should give us 120hz 4k, so as long as your gpu is strong enough the frame rates will be the same and there should be no difference between using this over a direct hdmi cable... I'm looking at buying this for the same reason as in pc in the loft and TV at the other end of the house. Don't forget to get a usb hi over ethernet as well as that will allow you to run Controllers, keyboard mouse etc at the other end.
@@TboneDuggins in my setup. The gaming PC is in the loft 3 floors up the screen that needs the picture is in a room at the other end of the house. Each room is wired with 4 cat6a cables. Each room was also wired with fiber optical hdmi cables. However 1 room cable was damaged during the build. To get video over ethernet you need to use something like this. But for the PC I also need to get wireless keyboard mouse as well as gaming controller like xbox controller access. So you get usb over ethernet. Usb cable to pc that connects to a usb over ethernet connector. Cat6a cable to connect the two modules. The module that goes into the TV room has 4 usb ports. So I use these ports to connect the xbox wireless controller adaptor. Or I can put in a BT USB dongle. Iv now got usb in that room.
I've installed many of these, and all 100% rock solid! Highly Recommended !
Great to hear!
Looking at ordering this for the UK can you let me know what type of power plug is needed. Thanks.
Highly recommended.
Do I really need the IR blaster as mine’s missing?
Yes if you need to control the source from the remote location.
Is there any latency if i was to do this on my gaming PC run to my TV in a different room?

@@spacemanwho gotcha I just didn't understand the typo
Does this work with cat8 cable?
Yep it will do. Cat 8 has more bandwidth. If that's what you already have then great if not, any cat6a or cat7 will do as well
