Twin-turbo setups use identically sized turbos so they spool up at the same rate.
Dual-turbo setups use one smaller and one larger turbo in order to stagger boost ranges for a longer, more drawn out boost curve.

It's correct to say dual turbocharger, twin turbo means both turbos are same size and spec, dual or commonly reffered to as sequential are 2 different turbos to keep making boost at different rpms, where as twin make the same power at the same time. In the discription of the dual turbo charger it briefly explains this.

Got the car, tried to play around in Heat 5, it feels like heat 1 now...
It's fun to race in 400+ class, but too fast for cops to chase you, which lost a bit of fun imo
But at that point you FEEL like you have made it
Because cars Under 350 risk getting caught at heat 5 easily

@@davidlegkodukh6969 as long as your car can reach 112 mph there is a monorail jump in the city which will loose a heat level 5 chase, there is also a dock/bridge towards the northeast at the end of the dock if you drive in circles around the square the cops fall off the bridge into the water. theres a dock with lots of jumps into containers south of the city i beleive this is where you start drifting lesson, if you stay on top of the containers you will escape, there is also a quarry in the northwest part of the map that has a jump if you just creep up the jumps the cops will go past you and not notice you same idea with the containers in the dock.
The #1 place that really confuses the sheet out of the cops is a parking garage smackdown in the middle of the map i dont know what is called because i havent played need for speed heat yet, but i think its called eastglade something ending in glade and its like a big square find a ramp to go into the parking garage come out the top at heat level 4 you can stay on top of the parking garage the cops will not find you up there, there is also plan B which is to jump to the other parking garage/roof if youre heat level 5 and you got a helicopter chasing you make the jump stop in the middle of the roof, they wont be able to see you

The difference between twin and dual turbo setups is that twin setups use two of the same turbo chargers whilst dual uses a smaller turbo for the lower RPMs where it doesn't need so much exhaust gasses to spin up. If the dual setup is done correctly then you will have better acceleration and low end power than with twin blowers but not as much high end power.
And in the case of NFS Heat it is definitely dual based on the in game description.

Just FYI, according the to description, the "Dual Turbos" setup isn't the same as a twin turbo setup. It's described more like a compound turbo setup, where one turbo feeds into another one to create more pressure and a higher rate of airflow. I'm actually a little surprised a conventional Twin Turbo setup isn't an option in the game.

Twin-turbos are usually specific to certain engines, and you can't really put just anyone of them on whatever engine. However it does seem like a mistake by the devs considering how some of the engines in the game are twin-turbo engines, and I think they even used the Dual Turbo part on those same engines as stock.

1:50 It actually is called the Dual Turbo because one is bigger than the other. A twin turbo is like its name, or when they are the same size.

Taking left turns and hitting the gas instantly aligns the front wheels to the forward position for half a second. And going 230 with high traction, it gets unplayable at times.

I think a twin-turbo setup uses 2 same sized, equal turbos. This dual turbo, with a big, and small one setup is somethng I see people using on off-road SUVs a lot, it's not quite the same correct?

Because with dual turbos, one turbo is smaller than the other. Twin means two equal turbos, which isnt the case. Smaller turbos spewal quicker than larger turbos and produce boost in smaller rpms but not so much in high rpms while large turbos do the opposite. Thus the set up. They perform as a dual, not twins.
