Hey a classic car auction i have never seen either. Nice to show us that. Yes also a beautiful day. Yes very busy and noisy. Yes an amazing array of cars. Thanks again.❤🎉
My uncle before he passed away loved looking at old time cars like that he really like the 1950s cars but that was because he was born in 1953 God love him May he rest in peace he passed away December the 19th 2019 he just had turned 66 years old December the 8th the same year You take care Steve You and Jim and God bless the both of you
Thank you Steve for taking us to the Antique Car Auction. The mechanics through the years that have repaired and kept these cars going all these years need Kudos to them!! It made me happy to see all these Wonderful Antique Car enthusiasts! 🌺
56 T-bird, year I was born. Always wanted one. 😅 I had a 64 Ford Galaxy 500 with the works!! Original paint, spoke wheels, leather buckets front and back, electric drivers seat, push away steering wheel, air front and back. 390 T-bird engine with cruise control...Loved it!! A collector offered me a deal I couldn't refuse...!$$$$
Hi Mr. Steve, that was a fantastic car show. I love the old cars. Lately, you have been posting some awesome videos. 😎 Greetings from your friends in the great Peach 🍑 State of Georgia 🍑 ❤🎉❤🎉
That sounds really awesome 1. Many of the people running the show seemed to be family members. Seems like a fun hobby for the whole family and a great financial investment to pass on from gen to gen!
Hi Steve been to many shows like that. A friend of mine enters his car’s in shows like that!! Nice to see the different styles. He also won lots of throphy’s thanks for sharing your day. lol 😃👍🚙🚗🚘🚖
I was hoping to see Mason with you on this adventure from the past! My first classic car was a 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible.another of my favorite vehicles was a 1968 VW camper an with a pop up roof
I do miss some of my old cars. I was a convertible guy. I had a 64 Mgb roadster a 1975 bug convertible and in college my cool car was a 1969 ford fairlane 500 convertible. All black and living in Phoenix I to needed AC. I loved my old bug. Fun cars.
I had a 69 Camaro with a crappy paint job I used to wash it with the Ajax. It was so old. But I loved it. I had to be at work at 2:30 in the morning and everybody my neighborhood knew I was leaving. It was so loud.
Hi Steve, that was fun. I also had a 74 VW bug it was my first car. It was a limited edition they called the Love Bug, they only came in Orange and Lime green and all the trim was in black instead of chrome. It did have air conditioning included and I think that was one of the first years they offered that. It was $3000 back then.
Hi Steve! My first car was a 1971 Ford Galaxy 500. I love looking at classic cars. Especially the Chevy Belaire from the mid 50s. And Mustangs from the mid 60s, and muscle cars from the 70s.😊
All the autos there looked good. I can tell an old muscle car without looking just by hearing the rumble. 😊 And I miss modern vehicles having the distinctive hood ornaments of the older cars. 😊
My dad owned a 1955 British Taxi he had shipped over in the 60s and it was in our family for a very long time was the coolest car and it was an Austin brand miss it.
@steveinpalmspringsca I agree a 💯 Steve a classic car for a classy guy. However I can't Invision Bogart owning a classic car like that but I could Invision let's say a Clark Gablish owning it 👌
Steve, so glad you had the chance to visit the McCormick Classic Car Auction, I really enjoyed my time at that auction they held earlier this year during Modernism Week. It’s fun to get to see all the cars up close and not have to spend the money to buy them! My first car was a 1969 VW Beetle in orange. Gas was 25 cents a gallon and with $2 in the tank it felt like I could go anywhere. ❤️ Paul
Hi Paul, I thought about you while I was filming this. I remembered meeting you at the other car show earlier this year. Thanks for sharing you fun first car memories. Ah, the good old days! :-)
Thanks Steve. Love vintage car shows. We use to go all the time in Florida. We even had a vintage car museum down the street from our house that had shows at least once/month. What I thought was really fun is that many of the cars in the museum had the original dealer stickers on them that showed the original price. Talk about adding to todays sticker shock. LOL.
WOW, that would be so cool to see the original stickers with the original prices. :-O I'm surprised we don't have a vintage car museum here. Thanks for sharing that Phil. Sounds like it was very cool! :-)
Hi Steve...loved the classic cars... beautiful.. vintage antiques.....my favorite...all of them.....LoL....thanks for vlogging this show......take care..... Deborah 🇨🇦
Thanks Steve for taking us to the car show! Surprised there weren't more Buicks, but they're probably still drivable and on the road (I have a 20:year old Buick that runs like a new car). I wish Buick would make sedans again.
Thanks Steve It was fun and it was red too! Seeing that red Camero was really deja vu. As I was walking around, I was thinking about all of Liberace's classic cars that you mentioned in Scott's video and was wondering if he ever purchased them at auction from McCormick. :-)
That’s fantastic & I’ve heard the big car collectors are from Palm Springs. Wow, love the woody wagon & old corvettes. Fun video and nice way to get your steps in. 👍👍
I wanna say you are the best at wishing folks good luck. We managed to get a 2015 Kia soul for 266 a month. We were so happy. I LOVE classic cars!!!! This vid was awesome!!!!
There are some nice rides in that lot and prices seem reasonable. We have a love/hate relationship with car auctions. Because of car auctions, the price of cars skyrocketed to ridiculous amounts! I was bidding on TA and went beyond what my husband and I agreed apon, you can get carried away especially when you want a particular car! I did get outbid. At the time I was incredibly mad, however looking back I was out of my damn mind to bid as high as I did! Needless to say, I am no longer allowed to go to Mecum actions.
LOL thanks for sharing that with us Stacy! And yes, I was surprised that the sale prices seemed very reasonable. I was expecting much higher, but then I only saw a handful of bids. I'm sure some of these went for ALOT!! :-O
You are so right, i wish i had parked so many of my cars into a batn and locked the door! My first car was a '69 Oldmobile 88 convertible. Bright red with white leather interior. A BEAUTY! I couldn't park it in the garage because it was soooo long! Lol😊. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jim ❤❤😊
awesome vlogging classic car show, luv those vintage classic cars, Jayne Mansfield had 1966 Buick Electra 225 so tragic she perished in car accident all those years ago; Marilyn Monroe had 1954 Cadillac Series 62 convertible; beautiful cars they don’t make them like that anymore
Beautiful weather and cars Mr. Steve. My dad had. Pontiac 1968 GTO. Then he had me a few years later. He had to sell the car. I joked with him I would've understood if he had kept the car and put me up for adoption 😂. Joking.
Because of your video, I went to that car auction. I didn't have to buy anything because apparently you bought several cars for the Elan complex that we're moving into. I hope you bought that black T-Bird convertible.😎
I was there today! That blue Avanti is the one I’d take home. What was your favorite? I was filming the Smokey and the Bandit car and had the same thought, they’re gonna think I’m bidding on it. lol Fun video Steve, well done!
Too bad we missed each other T! I agree, the Avanti is pretty cool! I don’t think I could use this one. I would have to have one of the tea birds, one of the Mustangs, and definitely one of the VW bugs lol! I just need a much better garage! 😆👍
I rebuilt a 73 mustang like the one in your video. I put a blueprinted and balanced 351W . I sold the car. I have a Citicar (the first mass produced electric car ) I want to restore it. I need a brake drum to just get started on it and can't find one. I need to do more hunting this summer.
@@steveinpalmspringsca The 1976 Citicar isn't so much skill but finding the parts . They made only 2000-3000 of them. I think what will save me is it has golf cart parts and aviation parts in it. Have a great retirement!
Great video Steve. Love old cars. Side note; did you deactivate your Instagram accounts? Hope you are doing well and you and Jim have a great Thanksgiving! 😊
Hi Collin, I still have my two Instagram accounts, but I deleted all of the photos from both. I’m just going to use them now to follow friends and family and others, but not to share anything. I just don’t have enough time to do TH-cam and Instagram. And with all the scams and trolls out there, I just think it’s best to limit my online social media exposure.

It doubles or triples in size with all of the visitors. if you don’t like the summer is probably the best time to come, but it’s very very hot. Some people don’t mind the heat though. Enjoyed again, Steve, Thanks for sharing memories
Thanks John 😎👍

These vehicles are GORGEOUS!! I'm not a car person, but I know beautiful when I see it!!! Thank you Steve!!💙💙💙

Thanks Janice. Glad you've liked them. 👍
This reminded me so much of my dad . He loved old cars. 😊
What a great walk down car memory lane! My neighbor had a 63 I think VW bus what a fun vehicle! Thanks for the video.
I had the same thought about the filming and auction!
It sure was Tom and thanks for sharing that! :-)
Great video
My family restored classic cars. We were always going to shows, had several classic cars and enjoyed it very much. I have a classic car now
That sounds really awesome 1. Many of the people running the show seemed to be family members. Seems like a fun hobby for the whole family and a great financial investment to pass on from gen to gen!
Thank you Steve . Have a nice day weekend dear .
You too Patti!

Nothing like a good old classic car show Steve 👌🏼

You must have a very big property or very big garage if you lost your truck, Monika! 😄
Loved it Steve. So much fun and what beautiful cars. Which one was your favorite? Have a lovely evening. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎤
Omg what an impossible choice. They were also amazing. If I had to choose, I guess it would be one of the oldest T birds. 😄👍

Yeah, I showed one or two. Maybe you didn't get that far.
I have three observations. 1 Love the cars but I am happy to enjoy them vicariously rather than own. Seems like a lot of work and expense. Definitely not for the minimalist. 2.
