I had a 89' KDX 200, it was bulletproof and started every time on the 2nd kick, totally loved the bike!!

My first bike was an 84 KX 80. This bike is beautiful. Takes me back to my childhood.

I owned two 1987 of those bikes they never gave me any problems whatsoever just new back tires and oil changes throughout the years that's it super reliable bike.
You do know the oil is only for the transmission right ? The only oil that lubricates the crank and cylinder is in the fuel.

@@tdog54 if its a 4 stroke the oil lubricates the whole engine in a two stroke it’s only in the transmission. With a 2, the crank and piston get lubricants from the fuel. So what I mean is when somebody says oh I always changed the oil( on a 2T) , that’s only beneficial for 4 strokes, with a two stroke it doesn’t really matter because only the tranny is lubricated by crankcase oil.
You guys are my all time favorite you tube, I've owned quite a few of these beautiful bikes at one time. Thanks for keeping the sport alive, I love seeing a trailer unload of classics.
Clean Kawasaki. Those little 200’s were rockets , especially after they went water cooled in final years. Nice example here😎👍
I had an early 90s kdx 200 with the pink and purple seat and stickers. Wish I still had it😌

200’s are so good in the woods, KDX’s and IT Yamaha’s are a couple of the best,.

Had 87 and 93, best dirt bikes ever.
I was to big for a KDX175 or 200 but had a lot of friends that rode and raced enduros on them. Such a great bike, shame Kawasaki killed them as well as the IT175, IT200, PE175, etc.
I had one of these. Took the ride of my life in the New Jersey Pine Barrens on it and it never let me down!
Kawasaki always made great streetbikes and dirtbikes. She sounds peppy, and looks brand new out of the crate.

The beloved KDX those who have had the honor to have rode one know why there loved. I owned an 89 till it died. It must have had a billion miles on it when I sold it for 500 bucks about 5 years ago. Never had a single problem until the top end went out after 20 years of riding it. Should have kept it but it was in rough shape after all those years of fun.
bought a 1995 kdx 200, rode for 20 years..never got left in the bush or forest...by any make model or size..Sold it for what i paid for it..Thats a win for kawasaki

That is a reliable and powerful 200cc! indestructible!!! In a week you just put three of my favorite bikes from the 80s, my dream bikes at the time... XR250, PE175 and KDX 200, I had a twin shock XR200 and the PE 175 but never had the chance for Kawa..
Go talk to them. You have your chance now.

Sweet bike my brother used to own one and that was one of the best New England woods bikes ever made. Can't believe you guys lost all your snow I'm like right up the road in Southwick even after Sunshine all day today still a s*** ton of snow
My favorite bike for local enduros. They are great and pretty much race ready off the showroom floor. Bullet proof bike for sure.

Born in 1990, had me a 1990 KDX200 a few years ago. Replaced the power valve and a few minor things. I was quite impressed with it. That’s a beautiful Kawi you got there Kaplan. I’d love to visit your museum at some point. God bless 🇺🇸

In your opinion what was better...the kdx 200 or the kmx 200 ,i heard they are simular......thr kmx was very popular here in the uk....dtr 125 also
The KDX line has always been awesome bikes. However I did run into a few of the kdx with shredded teeth on the internal Kickstarter gear making them skip and not catch when tryna to kick it over. It wasn’t exclusive to any year or generation of the kdx neither. Asides from the Kickstarter problem they were all amazing bikes.

My brother bought a Brand new 1985 Kawasaki Kdx 80 it was cursed lol it seriously hurt everyone who rode it lol my brother broke his leg and his friend took it w out permission and broke his jaw w out helmet dumbass lol but i was 4yrs old and watched him ride it like it was the greatest thing on earth hes 10yrs older than me and i always and still do look up to him he tought me alot about fixing stuff he said just try and figure it out by doing it yourself if you dont try then you failed
