I used the 12V Buzzer which was placed in circuit with my Oil Pressure switch. When you turned -on the Ignition, it buzzed. As you started the engine, the Oil Pressure built-up, the buzzer ceased. I once lost all Oil Pressure, and didn't notice the small (tiny) Oil Pressure Light in bright daylight. This is an instant warning - that will always protect your engine in an oil-pressure loss situation. Well-explained video that covers all aspects of switching to LED Lighting for a classic car. Finally, I changed my High Beam warning to LED. It was barely visible when lit before this action. Greetings from Australia.

Great clear, explanatory video, and a lovely old Morris 1000. Just wish I still had JKD 3D, my old Traveller. Love the intro. by the way...

Great video - thanks 🙏 almost every task that you undertook in a minute or so turned into an ordeal of incompatibility on my traveller due to electrical bodgery somewhere over the past 60 years - indicators on twin pin holders, and a mix of e10 /bayonet holders behind the dash. Slow work to reorder from NZ!

It’s a pain when someone has been at it before you and mixed everything up. Hope you get it sorted okay.

Helpful. Thanks. I look forward to headlights.

Me too if its a legal conversion for 7" headlights. A bulb only swap makes the car illegal though unlikely to cause an issue if not MOT'd.

Just ordered some stop /tail lights for my mini. I like the reduction in power consumption as I am on the dynamo and watch my volts drop at idle. I think I'll leave the indicators as I like the soft lighting of the original bulbs. All the best.

Great instructions. Any plans to do multi speed wipers. Red lights in doors, and side repeaters.??

Thanks for the excellent video, which I followed.
I have a problem with the indicators. I have fitted the updated flasher and the indicators work fine both left and right. My problem is that the light on the indicator stalk is still lit and flashing when in the neutral position, and the indicators are not flashing.
    Any ideas/suggestions?

Unusual problem. The most likely cause is the wires connected to the wrong terminals on the flasher unit. You should have a green wire (power) a green and brown wire (to indicator switch) and a pale green wire (to bulb on the stalk). If the pale green and the green and brown wires were swapped, it would cause the problem you describe.

I find your videos excellent tutorials, very easy to follow, highlighting potential pitfalls along the way. I have a question for you that is not directly related to the video. When changing to led headlights you show a shot of your engine bay, in particular the carburettor, which looks like an Su hif44. What air cleaner are you using? I am currently using a pancake style which I find too noisy and want to try to quieten it but am having trouble finding one to fit.

It’s a stub stack filter from MED engineering. Not sure how quiet it would be compared to a pancake. To be honest, my exhaust is pretty loud and tends to dominate.

Superb clarity of explaining. My traveller is a negative based. Got as far as fixing the new flasher unit. Tried lights with the new LEDs and disappointingly when I try my indicators one side my lights are dim, probably just like me! Spent the whole day relaxing and trying to work out my problem. Will bang head twice!.
Learnt so much from your video's, thankyou.

@@jodiethemorrisminortraveller Hello, I've been unsuccessful on this occasion.
I have ordered another new electronic flasher unit again from ESM, I'm hoping it's a faulty unit. Your instructions were very and and I find it very easy to do. My new LED bulbs remain in position awaiting the 2nd new unit. Fingers crossed. (I failed on the ' bang head twice' method, didn't fancy the pain.)

Hello, after many hours of back tracking, checking all earths ...........I've worked out why the near side indicators weren't working correctly. As the led bulbs are slightly longer than the normal bulb, it was making contact with the inside of the rear lense when fixing back on. As a result it was displacing the bulb fit and causing the lights to dim. ....................gonna be doing a few ' star jumps' now celebrate!.

Another great video. Where did you purchase your led flasher unit relay from. Also your good quality bulbs. I have a 1964 1000 saloon 2 door.

Nice looking Traveller. Are those LP917 van wheels or the LP936 reverse-dish type?
