- Sony Xperia U root st25i and Official update ICS
1-Install update 6.0.B.3.184 with website sonymobile.com (no pc companion) (www.sonymobile....)
2-Use Sony PC Companion and install ICS (4.0.4) update 6.1.1.B.10
3-If the Phone bug (Usb...) reboot the phone .
This procedure does not lose your warranty, it includes an option for removing the root
Need:
-ICS and active "USB DEBBUG" (in "options pour les développeur")
- bit.ly/VlzpJg or bit.ly/12kUkDi
1- launch "RunMeFR"
2- enter "1"
3-Follow the steps
4-Choise "RootMe"
5-clic "restore " and ok
6-Wait the phone reboot
7-Normally you have a new application (SuperSU) If you don't have retry
IF you want to remove the "root" use the programme but enter "2"

When I put 1 in the program it doesn t go on, it stay there for a long time and doesn t do nothing!
After performing changes I got my settings changed and I'm now unable to restore them...
maybe,but it says on the sonymobile website that my phone soft is up to date,and i have 2.3.7,i'm from UK and the sony representative said that there is no official update for st25i device in UK
in that app where it is written pushing fake back up mine writes adb: unable to connect for backup
Nice and to all the people who do not know this language it means to click restore (restaurer) after you make sure root me is selected

J'ai fais toute les étapes et je ne vois toujours pas SupersU c'est normale ? J'ai un Xperia U sous la version 4.0.4 . Je ne vois pas l'application SupersU. Si tu pouvais m'aidé ca serait super. :) Merci.

doesnt wor on my 4.0.4
i have latest update 6.1.1.b.1.54 course xperia st25i
when i try restore then shows me pop window that i was problem with resoration.
somebody has any clue why everybody are happy with a advise from Erobliz without any problems?

It's weird when you normally clic a "1" on the program (you have to wait about 10 seconds). Then normally the program asks to go on the phone.
The program on the phone "backup & restore" is launched then you must select "RootMe" in "select record to restore."
And click on "Restore" normally reboot your phone!
Your android version is 4.0.4?

For me with ics, the phone has become more stable and I have more option (interface, google chrome, camera...).
I prefer ICS.
Yes you're right but "update 6.0.B.3.184" (necessary for ics) it didn't work with PC Companion (maybe now it's working)

The phone is a Xperia U st25i (Yes "st25i" an "st25a" are the same, Difference is just in Baseband support )
And Yes Xperia have a official update ICS ! Look the official website (sony mobile)

And 6.1.1.b.10 is the build number and Android version is 4.0.4 !

you can't root 6.1.1.B.1.54. flash 6.1.1.B.1.10 then root.
yes normally but you can unroot.
Be careful here I use a program for the Xperia U or S so I do not know if it will work with your Xperia Sola. I advise you watch forum ... (xda. ..)!

After patching with "Root by Bin4ry" , I have app (Super SU) , i tested "3D chainfire" works great :D

anyway just download sony PC Companion or you should get it when you plug mibile with usb on PC
it will aotomaticly find your mobile and mobile and wil wrote you the lastes updates aviable and ICS without taking any risks!!!!!!!!!!
