I loved the scene were Dot was questioned and then he burst out of AC12. Also, the scene where Roz turns the table on her solicitor and provides proof of Hiltons involvement at the end of series 2. Gil getting caught at the end of series 5 was great . I'm surprised we John Corbetts death wasn't on this list. So many great moments from the show. Looking forward to the next series with bated breath.
Bruh ngl you listed some of my favourite moments... I swear this is one of the greatest shows of all time in my opinion, story 10/10 acting 10/10 So fckin good
For me, it was the discovery that the rogue undercover agent was John Corbett. The whole episode had been leading you to think it was the female OCG member, to find out it was actually Corbett (and the way Stephen Graham played the character) was just brilliant.
Lindsay Denton’s death is BY FAR the best moment from the whole show. “See what they will think when I bring you in. When I bring in the caddy”. BANG. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Line of duty is the only series I've watched that has me hooked from the very beginning, it's incredibly written with it's twists and turns and it leaves you suspecting everyone of being corrupt, the female characters are amazing and the action scenes keep you on the edge of your seat. Currently watching series 6 and it's up there with the best
I've just completed me week's Binge-Watch of all Series 1-6 of Line of Duty, and what a run it was. Thanks Mr. Mercurio for putting down the Stethoscope (giving up your Medical career) and picking up The Pen -- or for beginning to write brilliant stories on your computer keyboard! Me favourite (British spelling/"East" London slang) Series was the very first one, Series 1: Lenny James did a marvelous job as a copper ("Gates") in-too-deep, drowning in a cesspool of coverups: walking into traffic and allowing himself to get rammed by the oncoming Lorry (truck) was genuinely "falling-on-the-sword" -- what an outstanding way to ensure that the "...in the Line of Duty" benefits for his fictitious family would remain uncompromised. As I have expressed in me other comment postings, your character "DOT" reminded me of the X-Files show's "Smoking Man" -- as popularly referred to by X-Files fans, globally -- yet whom I referred to as "Cigarette Dude": a very annoying character who undermines all things positive that could potentially happen haha. Accolades to "Supt. Hastings" and "Kate" and "Steve" for being real trooper characters/real-life actors, and accolades as well to the entire show's production team and staff. Cheers all, and as Thandie Newton (Series 4) says in "Chronicles of Riddick" (2004): "Flawless!" Wayne (NYC)
Re watching every series in lockdown. Roz Huntley murdering Tim Ifield, chopping off his fingers, then using one of them to access his mobile, was cold. Also brilliant.
Yep that was such a great scene and the suspense of not knowing who died for the first part of next episode . Still baffles me now to how Tim Ifield ended up dead from that position
I just discovered this show two weeks ago! Yes, I binged the hell out of it in a week, and yes, I am willing to watch it ten times more with someone who has never seen it before!
I saw this randomly on Stan and thought, "Yeah why not" and what a great show this turned out to be. There was not a single episode that did not have the blood pumping.
Some shocking omissions here. No 'Urgent Exit Required'. No 'Lindsay released from court, Dot bricking it at home as 5 phones ring at once'. No 'Shooting a suicide bomber (or not)' from the very start. No 'Huntley turns the tables on Jimmy Lakewell and the OCG'! No 'Hastings shoots a balaclava man with ice in his veins'. Hilton isn't in any iconic scenes, but he deserves a video of his own for being the king of delivering the single line. "There's FACTS. And then there's the truth." And of course: "They're killing us on Twitter!"
That scene of Ros Huntley nearly getting chopped up by was the first bit of Line of Duty I'd ever seen, it was on gogglebox. I had to watch them all from series 1 after that.
I never watched season 1 or 2. I heard good things about it but never sen them. We saw Danny Mays in an interview about season 3 and thought we would give it a go. We was hooked from the 1st 5 minutes. That break out in the final episode is still some of the best tv I’ve ever seen. The whole build up. The text to “Removals” is a genius touch. Dot looking at her and saying to her that she didn’t really go round his house. As soon as it finished I had to watch it again 3 more times.
@@Katy-sh3ru yeah. Loved the 1st season. Lennie was so good. My wife have up 2 episodes in on season 2 but she’s watched everything else. Season 4 Ep1 Roz waking up just in time I was. OMG TF LIKE HOW I WOULD HAVE WANTED TO SEE HOW SHE KILLED HIM. I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE SHE WOKE UP JUST IN TIME.💀
It always makes me laugh with the confrontation in the car between Dot and Denton. All he needed to do was grab the phone off her or shoot the phone not kill her. It reminds me of the remake of the Wicker Man when Nicholas Cage points his gun and says to the lady on the bicycle "Step away from the bike"

Certainly, Georgia's death in the first episode of season 2 was the most shocking in its abruptness and manner, a sweet character introduced and meeting her demise in the same episode. Heartbreaking stuff. Roz's hallucinations in the bathroom. Denton's scenes in prison when she questions the OCG prison staff, yes or no? Any of DI Denton's scenes in jail.
@@suhailmall98 you're not wrong. Season 5 was so poorly written. I watched all the seasons back to back in prep for season 6 and they doesn't help it at all. That said, every scene with Corbett, including his shocking, albeit inevitable, death was great. Stephen Graham stole the show and is easily one of the best non-regular actors the show has ever had.

Not up for debate

Technically dots death is the conclusion but yeah they should have Put the moment he busted out of the interview
facts

Yes. That interrogation scene is absolute quality from start to finish
Dot Cotton and Denton are the best characters by far. The “urgent exit required scene” is incredible
That #9 moment where Lindsay Denton goes on to break down the entire AC-12 crew was such a boss move. Best character that show ever had.
i hated her so much
To me, Denton will always be the most complex, best written, multi layered character on TV.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I was excited for anything as much as I am for Season 6 of this banger!
And were you as disappointed with the reveal as everyone else.?
I cant wait...season 6 starts here in the US on May 18th....
Denton all ( Keeley Hawes) the way. Her death albeit inevitable, was a huge loss to the show.
Can't imagine how hard it was to keep secret that Keeley Hawes WAS returning!
I disagree. I don't think her death was inevitable.
I love that she turned down the bribe though
Denton / Keeley was awesome on the show.
Hope we’ll have a spin-off in a few years

Definitely needs to see dot getting urgent exit required, Kate on the truck then his demise. Best moment overall
Agree! I watched the episode 4 or maybe 5 times! Epic!
Don’t you mean definately 😏
The one that sticks in my mind is when Steve is about to have his finger cut off by bolt croppers.
Luckily, for Steve, Ryan couldn't work them properly
Number 1 will always be my favourite. Not just Dot's demise, but the entire chase sequence beginning inside AC-12.
Arnott has surprisingly been put through so much
And the poor guy still remained DS up untill last season whereas Kate was promoted to DI from DC.
Urgent exit required is the best moment imo
