Probably one of my most favourite of your blogs as its inspired me to visit soon myself. Its been on my to do list for a while. I need to get on with it it. I loved the woodland trail to Hercules resting place and carving and likewise liked the bubble comments of Winston. I loved his enthusiasm when he was called back to take the correct path on the hill. No drama he appeared to say this way then and of he ran down the path tail wagging and full of adventure for what was coming next, as was I. FAB...
Another great video Roz. I love how you know what Winston is thinking🤔. I also love to see him trotting off ahead with his tail rotating in a clockwise direction as if he is clockwork, nothing seems to phase him, 🦴 a treat for him.
Such an enjoyable video, thank you. I can’t hike anymore so I live vicariously and I so enjoy seeing your travels with the handsome Winston 🐕. 7.5 minutes is ridiculous for £1. It should be 50p and 15 mins for £1. This has been designed by a bald man clearly 😅
Hi Roz , just want to let you know just how much im loving this latest trip .. Fantastic content . Have a wonderful rest of the trip , cant wait for the next installments to come x
I always look forward to your videos and this one was such a bonus being so much longer than usual. The walk was wonderful but the highlight for me was the cuckoo. I haven't heard one for many years as I live in Australia but I do get lots of birds in my garden and as much as I love them they make an awful racket at times. Aussie birds tend to be VERY noisy 😉. Keep up the good work, both you and Winston.
Thankyou Roz for sharing your Adventure, please be safe on those hikes 🐕, My lady dog is recovering really well from her acl surgery, Got your washing dry 😊, Till next time 👍👏, David and Lady from South Australia 🇦🇺
Im really enjoying your Outer Heb travels and looking forward to the Lewis (eileann fraoch campsite) episode as I was in the static van across from you and Winston ❤️
Small world! 😀 I think eileann fraoch is not the next campsite, but the next campsite after that 👍🏼 I try not to record other people's vans, but they obviously do appear in the background, so you may spot yours 👍🏼
Tree's in the Hebrides is a rareity. It must be quite shetered from the wind down there. The subtitles are really getting a workout. Hope the new phone cover works for you. Winston's look at the broken style. "Stop waffling woman. Get over, so I can keep running around!"
Great video again , Roz. Great views. You are right 7 1/2 minutes for a shower is not long enough , should allow at least 10. My partner needs near to. 1/2 an hour. One reason we don't go camping ! Thanks for posting.
Another fun adventure in a beautiful area. Always more fun to explore with your dog, My dog Kola was a great travel dog, she loved to explore and snooze in the car as I drove.
A fantastic place your visiting Roz & Winston, absolutely gorgeous there, Hercules the bear is such a good book to read Roz ,he was owned by Andy Robinson and his wife who reared him. Love all the wild life your both seeing 😊X
52 minutes and I thought I haven’t time to sit and watch but to my surprise it flew over ! Admittedly I did stop halfway for breakfast and let my coffee go cold due to concentrating on your adventure😂 The feeling you got when walking in the woods was wonderful . Loving following you both, thanks.
I was wondering if this vlog was too long 🙈 None of the episodes are planned so I never know how long/short they're going to be. But I'm glad you enjoyed it and made it to the end 👍🏼 Thanks so much for watching 😀 (sorry about your coffee 🙈)
My dear, you are a pleasure to watch and listen to, and "windmill Winston" is a joy, but your camera isn't the issue, it's the locations and maybe the time of year. Your camera only captures what Mother Nature presents to you, and you need a warmer and sunnier latitude and longitude for your next jaunt. 😎
I think you are right. It's only the past few episodes where I've had this wind problem and the audio was fine at the beginning of the adventure. The wind was awful, and being on a small, flat island leave you very exposed. Warmer and sunnier would be lovely 🥰 Thanks for watching 👍🏼
And the helicopter-tail is OFF !! Aaawww sorry you couldn't go into the cairn, we went into some on Orkney and they are fascinating. Yes the lack of trees on all these islands is quite strange to see. I quite agree with you that trees are soul-calming. Oh what a thrill to come across a stone circle - I have been to all the major stone circles in England and Scotland. Loving this trip of yours 💙🦋
Lovely video. You're so lucky to be visiting these places. The western islands have always been on my bucket list. Some nice sprockering going on too. We have a spricker too...same colouring. Wonderful happy dogs.
Hi Roz loved you're video as always & Winston shows you the way through the woods everytime..it was lovely to see the young deer down at the waters ege. It's a lovely part of country where you have camped at. Safe travels for both of you 👃
Sincerely hope the place you moved to in Scotland is in better shape than some of the places you visit. Just love the bond you have with Winston, I know how special that can be. Stay safe, happy and well travelling twosome. ❤
I've been in my house for a little over a month, and the weather has been lovely! Dry bright autumnal days. I hope it's like this all the time 😂😂 Thanks for watching 👍🏼
We’ve just found your channel whilst considering buying a pod , absolutely love watching your adventures and we also have a working cocker spaniel so have fallen in love with Winston your forever companion, keep doing what you’re doing xx Also where do you get Winston’s treats from our Finn would love them? 0:
So glad to hear that you're enjoying our videos. Thanks so much for watching. I get Winston's treats from Amazon. I usually get the brand PawGang. Here's a link to their Amazon page - amzn.to/4gU6Hzr Hope that helps 👍🏼
Hey Roz, great content and Win is a legend! The flowers I’ve sent aren’t for you, they’re for the pod to give fragrance after Winston’s swamp walk ……Cam xx💐
Another beautiful adventure (and you mentioned Grand Tour - a favorite of mine along with TopGear). So glad we are getting another 'early' adventure and love the video, your comments, and the ever engaging Winston beast. The ancient barrow (or whatever it is) was also very nice to see. Thanks again...
Excited on our adventure today (yippee Sunday) to hear the cuckoo. Haven't heard one for couple of years now. It was nice listening to the silence. Another marvellous video, much appreciated and your singing one more step. Keep enjoying life and your time together with Winston, stay safe ❤
Hi Nature lover and Winston, bet you’re glad you don’t wear a kilt in all this wind. Hercules looks stunning but I too would have loved exploring the Cairn. Thanks again for your so natural way of taking us on your Hols Roz. A hug to you and a pat on the *Heid for Winston. * Scottish for head*😅
Hi Roz. Winston really enjoyed your hike. It was obvious that he was excited to be off lead. There’s no way I could shower in 7.5 minutes. So, you’re not alone. Isn’t it nice to close the blinds and shut out the world and peacefully enjoy a tv show?! Alone time is vital for metal health in my opinion. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing!
Pip and I are on the sofa enjoying your walk. Beautiful scenery there. Its on my bucket list to visit sometime in my campervan. Safe travels, see you next week. X
What a brilliant vlog Roz , the scenery was stunning, the music was brill , I really enjoyed it , At last you understand you HAVE to return the toy to superstar Winston 🤣🤣His face in your last vlog when he stood waiting for you to play was a picture !!!!😂
I love watching how happy Winston is. My dog Buddy is a Rescue, and we have a great bond like you two. I'm interested to know how Winston is with other dogs? As Buddy is not so keen, and it limits where I walk him. But I wouldn't swap him for the world.
Winston is fine with other dogs. He likes to have a quick sniff and then he ignores them 😅😅 I hardly see any other dogs/people on these hikes, I mainly see livestock etc. So, if Buddy is good with sheep and cows, some hikes may be a good idea 😀 Winston's a rescue, too. But I got him when he was 1 year old, so I've had him for the majority of his life. Glad to hear you're enjoying our videos. Thanks so much for watching. 🐶👍🏼
I know you say you’re not usually aware of the wildlife around you when you’re out walking, Roz, but I do hope you heard the cuckoo in the plantation, I heard it at least twice? 🌳 🦅 😃 😃
Wow that wind sounds so....windy... 🙄 maybe try a balaclava 😊 i had never heard trees creak before until a few weeks ago when I walked through a nature reserve, It sounded like an old wooden house settling or the floorboards , it was so weird
Nice to see you both again, great video beautiful scenery I couldn't believe Winston didn't spot the deer ,and yes I couldn't shower properly in 7 minutes but then again I'd much rather soak in a hot bubble bath . Take care both.
I think this is one of my favourite vlogs. Every time you show us a memorial they live on in your and our memory, it is like breathing life into their existence. Hercules, the stag, the peope that sheltered in those rocks etc etc. We would probably not know anything about their existence, you bring it to life. I find this emotional and a blessed relief from the mainstream information promoted daily. That woodland was a haven amongst the gusts of wind and rain and it seems to provide an area of calm for some of the wildlife. Fantastic amazing, magnificent, brilliant are some of the feelings I get watching them. Well done and I hope you enoy making them as much as I like watching them. Thank you Roz and Winston for brightening our days.
Deer are good at that - staying still that is. It's part of their 'hide in open sight' skill set. We currently have stags rutting in the woods beside our house and often come across a doe unexpectedly in our garden. Never sure who is the more surprised when that happens! Nice to see Winston so well behaved in their presence - so many dog owners seem to think it's ok to let their dogs chase a deer.
Another wonderful vlog thank you for bring us along with you. As for your singing it must become a regular feature prefebly with out the wind. Roz you did look rather fetching with the towel on your head 🤣
Roz you did.the right thing keeping yourself and Winston away from the Stag when they have antlers been known to attack people who get too close. Hopefully you see white tailed and golden eagle's last time used the ferry from the south of Skye there was porpoise's swimming around the landing stage.
I tend to lose weight on these adventures and I think it is because Winston and I are very active when we're away. I need to curb the treats when I get home 😂🙈
Hi Roz. I'm running outta niceties to use for your videos. I'm also a little surprised that Winst hasn't busted a main-spring with all that windmilling he does. A Forest on a tiny(?) island. Whooda thunk? I could also hear a cuckoo. Haven't hears one since I was a school kid. Seriously. Hazzard of living in the suburbs, I guess. Ironic, as we had a national commission forest just up the road. I believe the Bear carving is life sized realistically. If so, he was a large-ish Brown Bear or a smaller grizzly. And you're right, it was well carved. Cute or spooky? Maybe Cooky would work!!! Anyhoo! I'm not gonna waffle. You know the rules. Be well, happy and safe. Hugz for Windmill (And you if you've a mind!!!) Take care. Wolfie, NB. Lifeboat house? Looks like a fast launch ramp leading away toward the sea. But, why on a small island, couldn't say. I believe the sea gets super rough at times. North sea after all?
I actually did not notice the cuckoo noise until I was editing ( I think the wind must have been deafening me 🙈) Not sure about the Lifeboat house as it's on Loch Langias which is quite central in the island and a long way to go before it gets out to the sea. I'm just speculating though, so I could be wrong. Maybe the landscape has changed.
If you can survive those gusts of winds on your walk, we can put up with a few minutes of wind-noise. I enjoyed the video. Little change there, then! Ullapool next week for me & my wife...! Yippee...!!!
Come on roz more than 7 minutes in the shower, what were you doing? 😂😂😂, Brilliant vlog, much appreciated that you spend the time to share your adventures with us
Hi Roz, Fifty two minute video huh, this can mean only one thing, many more words from me. Hope you don't mind, if you do perhaps you should drop me a hint. See you got caught on the did I didn't I lock the car door thing, Lee Evans did a hilarious sketch one that once. It does play on your mind doesn't it. Winston would never forget. Aha, you mentioned the foam mic 🎤 cover. Maybe it was the bear's 🐻 bag of rubbish, good job you didn't film the inside, could have been a bit grizzly 😂. I was surprised Hercules was so recent, thought it was going to be ancient folklore, a lesson on not making assumptions. The 20 seconds of blank screen nearly had me jumping to the conclusion a video cable had popped out. I bet one or more clever clogs will point out it was a stag not a deer 🦌. And as for the fluffy caterpillar good job you didn't touch it, try Google-ing the image. Hope the shortbread was suitably crumbley. Look, no unattended laundry this time, if only you could have chucked Winston's swampy fur in at the same time. As for windsurfing, my best mate took to it like a duck, I just kept falling off and gave up. Did I just count 6 flannels being rolled up? Blimey, you mentioned your showering routine. I'm a bloke, 3 mins tops including shampoo, and pressure washing "bits" 😂. That's enough from me, you can take your reading glasses off 👓 . Cheers Graham
I don't mind the long comment, but it does take me longer to get to you because I respond to all the shorter comments first since they're much quicker 😅🙈 Shortbread was nice, I would like it to be shorter and crumblier though 🤔 The 6 flannels are for my face - I use a fresh once each day. Mainly because once they're wet, it can take a long time for them to dry and then they start smelling. So, I use one and throw it in the laundry and onto the next 👍🏼 Thanks so watching!
@@Roz.S Glad to hear that you don’t mind my lengthy ramblings, hopefully some times at least you will be amused and maybe even made to laugh a bit. I’m sure you have mentioned at some stage but not sure where, just how much time you spend typing back to your fans and commenters. I’ve just had a quick peek back at your channel and noted 161 videos with some interesting differences in viewing figures like 296K four months ago, and only 16K for two years ago paddle boarding. Have you ever tried to work out why and are you even bothered? I wish TH-cam would allow jpgs, sometimes I would like to put one in the comments like of Mr McFury the caterpillar from last week, and as you don’t do other social media I know of no other way to send such stuff apart from maybe a “wetransfer” link. As far as I know they are anonymous untraceable and safe. Of course you may be wanting to keep it that way but I know also that you sometimes ask for information like the caterpillar. Any thoughts?
Thanks! For the Adventure warmth and Love You and Winston Bring ..Thank You..
You're more than welcome. Thanks so much for generously supporting my channel, it's much appreciated x
To quote Buzz Aldrin, "Magnificent Desolation". No people, no crowds, just wind noise and your bestess pal, Winston. Heaven!
Winston's helicopter tail heading off ahead is such a joy to behold!
As far as the shower goes, Roz, I’d say you’ve been well and truly ‘rinsed’!🚿💰😜😁
😂😂😂
Loving the voice bubbles for Winston 😂😂xx
Time and showers wait for no one? Great vlog thanks Roz
“Wait for me”, Winston says and then he races off ahead. The cheek!
I love the views and scenery. It’s amazing, desolate and beautiful.
Hey Kiddo! Love the vids as always; wee treats are on me!
Thank you very much! I appreciate you supporting my channel! 🙏
That tail 🐶🤗💕🤣
There’s no way I could shower properly in 7.5 minutes, that definitely a money maker 😳🤦♀️ 😖

Thanks for watching 👍🏼
@@Roz.S My pleasure 😃
Love seeing you two twice a week, his tail, your musings, and locations that aren’t heaving with people. Great production values, well done you.
Another great video Roz. I love how you know what Winston is thinking🤔. I also love to see him trotting off ahead with his tail rotating in a clockwise direction as if he is clockwork, nothing seems to phase him, 🦴 a treat for him.
The Hairy caterpillar , is very rare , and you are lucky to see this one, it is a young Haggis, in disguise as a moth caterpillar , 😁
😂😂
Such an enjoyable video, thank you. I can’t hike anymore so I live vicariously and I so enjoy seeing your travels with the handsome Winston 🐕.
7.5 minutes is ridiculous for £1. It should be 50p and 15 mins for £1. This has been designed by a bald man clearly 😅
Glad you enjoyed it! and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought 7.5min is too short 😂
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
The hairy caterpillar is a Garden ginger moth caterpillar according to Mr Google. There was also a cuckoo calling in the woods.
Hi Roz , just want to let you know just how much im loving this latest trip .. Fantastic content . Have a wonderful rest of the trip , cant wait for the next installments to come x
Great vlog as always. I always wear flip flops or beach shoes in the site showers to minimise the risk of verrucas.
Glad to see you respected Winston's privacy while he took a dump😂😂
If only I could get him to do the same when I went to the bathroom 😂😂
Winston’s tail alone must burn some calories 😂 he’s one very happy doggy 🤍✨, and that’s down to you Roz xx ❤️.
Kite surfing with Winston 's helicopter tail you could end up in Eire 😂
😂😂😂 I'd have my own eco-powered hang glider 🐶😅
I always look forward to your videos and this one was such a bonus being so much longer than usual. The walk was wonderful but the highlight for me was the cuckoo. I haven't heard one for many years as I live in Australia but I do get lots of birds in my garden and as much as I love them they make an awful racket at times. Aussie birds tend to be VERY noisy 😉. Keep up the good work, both you and Winston.
7 and a half minutes i could shit, Shave, shower and read a chapter of a book. Prob helps that most of my hair has left me lol
Lies. You guys take just as long to poop as we girls take to shower 😂😂
Great video, Roz! I love to see the Neolithic remains but I LOVE WINSTON even more. This doggie is THE SMARTEST. He thinks like a human. ❤❤❤
He is the best dog 🐶🥰
Wow a Sunday treat..awesome..thanks..

After a bit of research, I have been thinking I may need to find some other type of windy sport 😂😂🙈
That was a treat especially Hercules, thanks.😊
Hugz for Windmill (And you if you've a mind!!!)
Take care. Wolfie,
NB. Lifeboat house? Looks like a fast launch ramp leading away toward the sea. But, why on a small island, couldn't say. I believe the sea gets super rough at times. North sea after all?
I actually did not notice the cuckoo noise until I was editing ( I think the wind must have been deafening me 🙈)
Not sure about the Lifeboat house as it's on Loch Langias which is quite central in the island and a long way to go before it gets out to the sea. I'm just speculating though, so I could be wrong. Maybe the landscape has changed.
If I ever see you on my yearly travel around Scotland, I promise I’ll just wave and won’t disturb you
😂😂 Thank you so much! That's actually much appreciated!
Winston has a wonderful vocabulary 😅
Listen to those birds
It's a much better backing track than that bloomin wind 🙈😅
Beautiful
If you can survive those gusts of winds on your walk, we can put up with a few minutes of wind-noise. I enjoyed the video. Little change there, then!
Ullapool next week for me & my wife...! Yippee...!!!
I love Ullapool! Have a great time on your adventure! Thanks so much for watching
I can recommend Buggalugs dog shampoo. It smells gorgeous and is kind to dog skin and fur.
Winston also had a good roll…. Perhaps in some poo? 😅. Another great vlog Roz .. thanks.
He usually just likes to roll in long grass. But he did stink that day, so it might well have been some smelly poop 🙈🙈🙈
Thanks for watching.
hi roz, another way to look at it is, £2 for a lovely 14min soak in a shower, cheap as chips.
Showergate! It’s not very user friendly. Great video, Roz, with stunning scenery. Cheers for your Sunday video.
Come on roz more than 7 minutes in the shower, what were you doing? 😂😂😂, Brilliant vlog, much appreciated that you spend the time to share your adventures with us
I don't know how people manage to shower in less time 🤔 I'd never survive in prison 🙈😅
😂😂😂😂😂
Well done on the rant about the shower too catch the water from the shower and take it home see if they like that 😂😂
😂😂😂
Great video love the shower gate bit😅
Very enjoyable vlog (as always). 🖖
P..S. just pay the extra quid. 😅
It's the principle! 😂😂 ..and also the faff of having the right coins 😅😅🙈
Thanks so much for watching and following the adventure ❤️👍🏼😀🐶
Ros Attenborough strikes again
You bearly fit in the caravan 😊❤ Lol
Yep, it's tiny 😅
Hi Roz,
Fifty two minute video huh, this can mean only one thing, many more words from me.
Cheers
Graham
I don't mind the long comment, but it does take me longer to get to you because I respond to all the shorter comments first since they're much quicker 😅🙈
Shortbread was nice, I would like it to be shorter and crumblier though 🤔
The 6 flannels are for my face - I use a fresh once each day. Mainly because once they're wet, it can take a long time for them to dry and then they start smelling. So, I use one and throw it in the laundry and onto the next 👍🏼
Thanks so watching!
You need a hanglider for next adventure that wind was intense 😅🎉🎉
