500 miles under your belt, you understand limits and begin to push closer to them. I was terrified of my V12 being able to reach 40, but after a few months I was super comfortable going around 35. Had issues with my V12 so I exchanged it for a Patton and paid the difference. I have never enjoyed a pev so much. 50mph sounds actually achievable with the confidence and stability I have with the slightly bigger tire and suspension. One tip I have, which I’m sure you’ve heard, is to put nearly all of your weight on the outer pedal while turning at higher speeds. If you get better, you can start bending your inner knee outwards which helps take even tighter turns. If I ever get extremely bad wobbles, I tend to do the invisible chair braking technique which lowers your center of gravity and stops wobbles. I feel that it’s safer than accelerating while getting wobbles. You can also carve them out, whatever you’re comfortable with. Great video! I completely moved on from eskate when I bought an euc even after 5 years of skating, but I hope you still find enjoyment in both!
Some people prefer something with ankle support, but a firm, flat sole is what I like. I use an ankle high motorcycle shoe. If you can get your hands on an inmotion seat, the higher contact point on your legs is way more comfortable IMO
Thanks for checking out the video, and I do have the seat, I took it off cause i wanted to be able to grab the wheel incase I had to jump off, now that im more comfortable maybe ill put it back on!
We in the same boat I just brought a Inmotion V12 and will go out for day 2 learning to ride tomorrow.. The 1st day wasn't so bad. I need to work on my balance without any assistance in riding. Using a wall/rail became a crutch I having got my riding pads yet, I hear it is easier to ride with the pads
⚡👌🏼👌🏼⚡ *I've heard some people like to have one foot ever so slightly further up than the other* You'll be carvin it up on that thing like crazy before you know it.
Looking amazing! I'm sure you already know this from Esk8, but once you're pushing proper speed, you're gonna want some proper safety gear. Full-face helmet, wrist-guards with a palm-slider, and hard-shell knee-guards, minimum.
I tend to adjust my gear for my speed. If I'm going slower than I can run I wear the minimum level of gear, which is helmet and wrist guards. If I go faster than that I wear the full gambit. I can't tell you how many times wrist guards have saved me from broken wrists or badly scraped palms. When learning especially I'd just always wear at minimum a full face helmet, wrist guards, and knee guards. You are going to crash a lot when you are first learning. Prepare for the slide, not the ride.
So I use a slew of different cameras. Insta 360 x3, Sony a7IV with multiple lenses, iPhone 15 pro max, DJI mavic 2 pro drone, wireless mics I have the DJI wireless mic and the rhode wireless mic system. But honestly filming with just a phone and a good wireless mic will make be 💯 fine for most case scenarios
Looking on the wheel for day 2 homie. In my opinion, learning the EUC was much easier than learning to esk8. I think you’ll be flying and carving in no time! Btw, this might be a personal preference thing but you can try staggering your feet. It helped with the mounting, dismounting, hard acceleration (for city riding) and carving. My foot that stayed on the EUC was always a little forward and I set up my grizzlas for that. It wasn’t much btw, maybe half an inch to an inch.
@@DrewElia nice! Glad they set you up with that! It took me 100 miles of trial an error to figure that out lol. Only other thing that I did was my leading foot’s pads were a touch higher to allow me to lean into it because I liked the “going into the hall of your foot technique” on that side while the other foot was pretty locked in. I needed my wife’s help with setting those pads
Youre doing really well for a starter, I would definitely recommend wrist guards though, when we hit the ground its usually face first lol. Have you experienced any wobbles yet?
Great progress bend your knees a little would recommend high top boots or trainers helps with ankle support . You’ll be doing 40mph before you know it :)
I just got my first PEV, the COMMANDER MINI, what should my settings in the app be? It was set on a limit of 3 mph, no wonder I couldn't get my balance.
Nah to the non-suspension to start. Get the wheel you will want to be cruising on months from now. My first wheel was/is a commander Pro and I was up and riding it in 15 minutes. To me it is nonsense to get a “starter” if all you will do is spend thousands more less than a year later.I’ve had one low speed drop that scuffed things up a bit and that was on day 7. I’m also careful not to push past what I’m comfortable on and don’t take crazy risks. Fastest I’m comfortable with right now is 35-40mph.
Thanks for the input! I agree, ride with what you want to learn on and grow with, but this wheel was lent to me from a friend so I'm happy to just be riding!
I feel like I got the going forward and breaking and general every day thing down, now im working on mounting and dismounting while at lights or what not
Your doing awesome for day 2!!!
Thank you so much!!
Lol, getting big smile from the lady. That's just one of many reasons people like to ride.
Brave man...❤👊
I'll be taking this adventure at some point in the future. These videos are gonna be good and helpful.
glad to be of help
When you do, I would also recommend @GoGeorge, he's got some good instructional vids

They have an EUC parking spot????!😂
totally hahaha

Great video man. I am also an esk8'r interested in these. Good raw footage to give a feeling of these. Dope music track too!
Appreciate it! Thanks for checking it out my man
13 days without an eskate review, SEND THIS MAN A NEW, FREE BOARD. GOD DAMMIT !!! lol
Sadly my man I was sick in the hospital trust me I want to recording and riding
@@DrewElia sorry to hear mate!! I’m pretty sick atm, just the flu, and I started padding up and my wife took all my controllers, I’ve been grounds lol

Loving the helmet

This was Day 2??? I'll be lucky to be this smooth at Month 2.
Keep at it!!
dude i want to try an EUC so bad but they seem so scary lol but i guess esk8 was scary when i ordered my first board too!!
EUC has a level of practice when you first get on, its unlike anything else ive ever tried
Question which camara are you using? And are you using a wireless mic? If so which one? Thank you in advance

I’ve actually tried that staggering and I think that helps ever so slightly as well!!

I know! I have a full pad set up now! Yes I’ve definitely hit wobbles and was able to back off of them safely

Thanks for the tip! Thanks so much! I’ll use my high tops or boots!
Are you using split modes? What are your settings. (I am not using split modes. I have set them on, but didn't turn on split mode yet.)
I don’t think I had split mode on, I was just trying it out and testing out to see if I like the EUC world!
I just got my first PEV, the COMMANDER MINI, what should my settings in the app be? It was set on a limit of 3 mph, no wonder I couldn't get my balance.
I’m not sure about setting but it sounds like you were in a transportation mode? I dont know haha better to ask the manufacturer
Don’t abandon us 😢😂

@@DrewElia Yeah….I wish I knew about these things years ago! I love riding my wheel.
Meanwhile there are plenty of people who have been riding for years who come back to the non-suspension V 12 because it rides so excellent.
You’re doing well I just would really recommend you wear your safety gear. Stay safe.
Thank you, I will
Go to a park wit fence.learn there hold on to the fence its easy.I learn like it took me 3days to learn 4th I was on a long trails wit no problems

Where are your pads brother? This scares me seeing you do this with just a helmet.
I have full pads I’ll be wearing them more!
EWPC = Electric Wah Pah Cycle
WAAH PAAH!!!! thanks for checking out the video my man! Heal up fast!
You need pads. Easier to accelerate and brake.
I had pads on the wheel, unless you mean leg pads
