Glad you guys had a good time. We just do things different down here in Alabama. What some of you call adventure trails up there aren’t that different from our drives to school or work every morning. I can say that my Kubota can handle real terrain and tough spots too. Ride on and enjoy life. Enjoyed the video.
The Kubota would benefit from a flip up windshield so one wouldn't have to take it right off. Also having a horn on a UTV its impossible to not honk it. Kind of the same like not being able to click the tongs twice before you flip the meat on the BBQ just to make sure they still work.
watched this whole video to see the kubota traverse terrain like a tank then the video ended.did i miss something?thats just a nice trail ride in a park.
Whatever y'all do, don't get it in anything soft. They aren't very good in the soft terrain like sand or real mud, my mom has the 900 rtv and it's a tank like you said and it'll sink like one also. Lol.
Kubota got it wrong. The XG850 CVT clutch doesn't shift down when you stop quickly resulting in ($270) belt squeal, jerky starts and belt burn in soft snow or mud. Also, the 4X4 clashes gears after delayed disengagement. Kubota dealership calls it "driveline wrap" which is still a problem, only less serious than he actual problem. They won't honor their warranty by denying that these problems exist. Company reps. will not inspect these problems if owner is anywhere on the dealership property. I build 2000hp airplane engines for a living and verified the problems before requesting warranty repairs. Additionally, they use expensive proprietary oil for the rear differential (not available in stores). Kubota buys up rights to affordable aftermarket products and then sells them at inflated prices. OEM replacement parts arrive with "made in China" labels. Anyone know a good warranty lawyer or want to join a class action?
@@SurefireWoodsman funny, I was thinking of doing a video…I love the thing. Maybe that’s the case because it’s so new and not a lot of units out there yet. If there were a lot of issues it would show up on Google searches, farm forums etc. don’t see much there, but it’s still new. Did you blow a belt?
@@lozomex The vacant forums has a lot to do with Kubota's strangle hold on everything aftermarket for the XG850. Cool and affordable aftermarket parts is what fuels this market. None of the specialty UTV shops want to work on these things due to their inability to make a profit. Regarding the belt, no it didn't "blow". It started chirping after 200 super easy (brand new UTV) miles. No loads, steep trails, mud, high nor low range towing. I lifted the machine off the floor in the shop and removed the belt cover so I could run it and watch the clutch respond. When you speed up and brake to a full stop the belt goes slack. So slack that it lays on the bottom of the cover. When you accelerate with a slack belt, the clutch shuts slowly causing burning, slippage and jerking. I am an aircraft mechanic and used to manage an Arctic Cat and SkiDoo Dealership so I know a thing or two about CVTs. Do a test and get back to me. Take your machine up to 25mph, quickly brake to a full stop, give it moderate gas and see what happens. I will be interested in hearing your result.
@@SurefireWoodsman I’ll give that a try, I’ve not yet experienced it. I have however, noticed that in certain types of snow (not powder) the machine tends to hop and judder jerky like when trying to go up hill. This only seems to happen at a very lower speed; at higher speed it’s fine. I suspect there’s something there with the clutch. And yes, the clutch is jerky when you’re starting off or reversing; it’s something to get used to but makes parking and trailer hitching a little challenging. There must be some way of re-clutching the thing and I would consider that after lots of miles. The factory ATv tires that came with it are ok but not great. Thinking of going with a better 8 ply tire and upto 27” for a little more clearance. Do you think that will work ok on the rig?
A buddy of mine has a Kubota and for sure they are very tank like. That was hilarious a 5:58 when Cass tried to put it in gear. CRUNCH....Ah fuck. I laughed for 5 minutes. Good video as always guys.:-) Thumbs up.
That woman’s constant messing around with her personal affects is distracting and frustrating. Btw, this is a joy ride, not showing us anything that makes this a tank.
Oh my goodness youre so sensitive!!! What damage are they doing to the lakes and forest? Btw, most of those ATV are battery powered so don’t go btchin about coal!
3:55 one day!
that's nice teaching her how to drive this thing

Just got our XG-850 and looking for places and people to ride with. We are located in central MO. Enjoyed watching your adventure.
17:38 sometimes it does that stuck thing but if you move a little it will be easier to handle the gears
also don't take my rig
Love the kubota sidekick and the belt doesn’t sound loud at all, compared to other belt sxs I’ve heard.
No, it's very quiet.

Agreed on all accounts lol. Click click.

Nice continuation of your trip. Now you have to head up into the Northern Corridor starting from Cochrane to Moosonee.
We want to go everywhere! Only so much we can do in a summer eh
What a coincidence that's on my bucket list
is your speedo set on kph?

do you actually own a kubota 850?
@@lozomex Unfortunately yes. For some reason, nearly all the video reviews are posted by people with a financial interest in Kubota.

Who wants to breathe all that dust and then clean it afterwards, let alone the damage you're doing to nature and the lakes.
Bet you protest at the slaughter houses also.
