That old 79 John Deere Combine and that 74 International Transtar takes me back to that time, when I wore a younger mans clothes, actually a teenager's clothes. "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
I really like what you choose to film. I like the how you get the countryside in your posts , it gives a good picture of how many people choose to live. Small farmers are some of the best in the world.
It was a honor to film your dad this year! I told many other farmers/people about him and his service to our country. I hope to catch you guys again for Harvest 2021.
Can't get any more down to earth then this with the mud on the side of the second truck describing the TranStar also was a Plus keep up the good work later
@@barrybardo3249 When I was in my late teens there was a fish market at Reelfoot Lake here in West TN. They had 2 79" model Transtars . Both were black and chromed out. Man those were the nicest trucks in their day.
I hope for Harvest 2021, I will be able to catch a ride with a grain cart operator-I have never had one before. It would be awesome if I could drive it too! Thanks for watching.
I use a GoPro Hero 9 & 7 and a GP 3 way grip. I remove the bottom of the grip (tripod stand part) and place it on to a long golf ball pole that my neighbor provided me. I can adjust that pole to different heights and the grip works well on it. I also use a Nikon D3500 but I am not happy with the quality of that camera. Thanks for watching.
Thank you watching! It would be great to visit Russia one day to do some harvest chasing. I hope to ride the Siberian Express trains there in the future.
Looks like the head on the 6600 is a 643 hi tin harvesting 6 rows of 30 inch corn. The planter that they planted that field with was a 12 row as I see in the clip at 3:30. So this set up is pretty common for this machine and his corn head is period correct as the low tin corn head came out later.
Yeah, I confirmed twice with the farmer. I also filmed a 1978 John Deere 6600 back in 2014: th-cam.com/video/-agnoWN8hYc/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching.
@@libasan the last model year was 1978, all 6600 and 7700 combines came with In cab auger extension. Also one important detail was that the top of the cab has a slightly smaller ac intake that only takes up about 1/2 of the back of the cab from where it sits in the middle
78 was the last year for 6600 and 7700. They made the 4400 1 more year, however a lot of the part numbers are for a 4420 even though the parts are the same and interchangeable. They also changed the rotary screen to the 20 series style in the 79 model, but they didn’t change the cab and add the hydraulic fold on unload auger until the 80 model year, which was an official 4420 . So a 79 4400 is kind of a hybrid.
Awesome job on the video love the 1979 john deere 6600 combine nice job God bless you 👍
Smart combine and the added attraction of the international truck . Great video.👍🏴
Nostalgic seeing that 6600 operate so smooth. We had a 6600. It brings me back to my youth
Nices john deere combine no sensor for every single corn 😂❤
Love that old IH. The combine make me feel likes it's 1987 all over again. Really neat stuff there!!

Great video like to see the older combines still working.👍👍👍👍👍👀
Love this concept! Chasing the harvests across this great country! Thanks for filming these older machines, too!
Thank you for watching!
I have a 6600 and it’s still doing a great job.😅
I wonder how many bearings, chains, belts and sprockets had to be replaced over the years ??

He stopped and filmed my 92 year old father shelling corn this year.
Thank you very much. I have about 25 more videos to upload that show some pretty cool farms. Have a great day!

That Transtar sounds like there's a Detroit in it. Love those trucks. Especially the 79 models
Yeah I would have liked to heard that thing take off down the road

Try 1978 John Deere 6600. That's the last year the 6600 and all the other 00 Series (New Generation) combines were built.
Awesome video, thank you.
Thanks for watching! #harvestchaser
I like that you leave the sound of the machines rather than cover it up with crappy music like most harvest videos. 🤣
Glad you enjoy it!
I concur
There is that little green car again lol
If he dumped the partial could've made a full round. Got a 1978 6600 SH. Nice sample.
Nice catch! #HarvestChaser
The size I learned on how to run a combine

Loves the videos, great to see a face with the channel. Can you show us your set up?

Looks like that 6600 has RWA, if it does I have never seen them with RWA before.
Our 1978 7700 has it
I have a neighbor still running a 4400.
must rare,6620 was intoduced in fall of 78
If John Deere was smart they would start making these old beauties again for the small acre farmers they would bank.
Con una igual me ensene. y son muy buena. y es idostratica me encantan
Lot of trouble opening the field up. Maybe its time to rethink how you plant it.
Making a turn round and park for the wagons I'd say . Maybe performing for libasan ?
Where is that place?
Washtenaw county, Michigan-thanks for watching!
То чувство когда джоник 79 года лучше современного ростсельмашевского комбайна😅

I don't understand this row pattern

Are you shure it is a 1979 6600 as i had a 1979 7720 and i am not shure when they changed from the 00 series to the 20 series
Yea we had a 1979 7720. First year of production.

most likely a 78 since deere had the 6620 in 79.
