I know, I know. The images are not sharp at all. I'm so used to shooting with the LC-A (which has an f/2.8 lens), that I forgot the LC-A 120 has an aperture of f/4.5 and this means that when shooting at 100 ASA, the shutter needs more time. Welp, better luck next time!
Totally understand the humidity...it's like 90 degrees here in Michigan with super high humidity. Doesn't really help that I live in a third story apartment and it's been hot in my apartment...really makes it hard to control temps for black and white developing but it's great for color processing! As always, love the content and you really helped jump start my film photography fascination. Thanks for that.
I have similar issues with my LCA120 and ironically it seems worse with Lomography’s own 120 films. They tend to be shorter lengths with much shorter lead ins. I have found stopping a couple of inches short of the start mark helps. Also give the roll a bit of back tensioning, it helps with the spacing (loose wind). Lovely video btw!
I just ordered the 25th anniversary one! I can't wait to shoot with it, thanks for having the only two videos on this camera haha, made the choice much easier
As always, I enjoyed walking around and seeing photos with you-limitations of the camera notwithstanding. Sevilla is usually thought of a s a hot location but the temperatures seem comfortable, at least compared to the humid conditions in New York at the start of the video.
Hi Eduardo, nice review! Thanks for showing a us a part Seville.👍🏾 Pitty the pictures turned out not to be sharp. When shooting this roll of film I always use a tripod, handheld shooting is pretty difficult especially when you close down the aperture to create some “focus leverage”, and shooting on a slower shutterspeed. Funny you also mentioned the amount of frames you can shoot. I am shooting with a Hasselblad (6x6), and the first roll I got developed I thought the shop made a mistake when developing it, I got only 11 3/4 pictures😬. I also had them develop a Kodak Portra roll at that time, and that one delivered 12 frames. So getting less pictures is small downside of the Lomo Color100. One thing I also learned the hard way, do not underexpose this film, but overexpose it with 1 stop. Underexposing will give you some weird colors in the shadows.
I have always had the feeling that LOMO products were never the best when it came to quality control... You haven't changed my feelings on that :D Amazing feel to your photos again Ed!! Peace from Manchester UK
De verdad que me encantas tus fotografías y videos, espero poder verte el próximo mes en Concepción (y lograr sacarle algunas fotos en 35mm a tenemos explosivos)!
I know this isnt the point of the video but the music is so gooooood. But also fun video. I got into film photography because of Lomography but now I'm glad I got out of it. I'm not super serious in my photography but for the price I'd rather get a product with quality control lol.
3:38 oh my god this girl is gorgeous. Im so jealous, because Sevilla is my favorite city on this planet, and its 4 years i havent been there.(because i was living in Ukraine to make pictures about war) ( my mother is from San Sebastian, my grand-mother went to live near Barcelona, but i love Sevilla so much that i dont have enough time to visit every place. And i was born in Paris, which is totally different ) I saw your instagram stories, that was cool, thanks.
I adore the scene you caught. WHere they were sharp they were very sharp. I am surprised how much bokeh you got, say in the scene with the girl on the crosswalk. Well seen!
nice video, as always! if one day you will be in naples, please tell me before, i can guide you for the best places to eat, and the best spot for the photo, and you can also use my strumentation for develop your film
this makes me think im quite sure this camera is way over priced, loosing a frame per roll, aperture, and plastic materials for 400$, id rather spend twice more for a proper one
I fully understand what you mean, but there's another way of looking at this: the only other camera that has a 17mm equivalent lens in medium format is the Hasselblad SWC, which costs about $2500. In comparison, this Lomo is a bargain if what you are looking for is a super wide angle 120 camera.
@@edpavez yeah i know and kinda agree, but for someone wanting to make the move to medium format (as I was, and considered this one at the time) I really think its too much money, but you made good point on the lens, its good to have you back man i was missing your videos :D Cheers
I scan my 120 film with a flatbed Epson 4490 so it’s really hard to know which are the “real” colors of the film and how much stuff has been changed by the scanner. Don’t take this as a film review by any means!

It's okay Ed, we all still really enjoy watching the videos you come out with, maybe use the mamiya six next time. I love mine!
it doesnt matter much that most are not sharp, good to know the camera specs and slow lens !
These imperfections make it perfect! I loved the scene at 05:15. Patience is key, nice to see the process 👍
No te preocupes Eduardo! Las fotos quedaron perfectas. Esto me enseña que se trata de diversion y nada mas

Qué bueno verte por mi tierra callejeando. Te has metido por calles que ni yo conocía jajaja
can you do more shooting with the rolleiflex? That would be very great!
+1
Love the woman with the umbrella. The colors of lomo 100 really match the vibe and feel of Sevilla. Great video, Ed.
The color s offer something like a pastel feel. Something like old films from the 50s. I like it.
Love the soundtrack...I could listen to it all day.
Loved the photos. But I think I also love the music. Viva JAZZ JAZZ JAZZ. Love your stuff man. And Fran is great as well.

The shot with the lady's back to you with the guy on his phone to the left and the couple looking at a map on the right...great shot.
Eduardo, that was great. I loved it.
This video cooled down my room... thanks. Great captures BTW.
Nice record. How did you define exposure? Did you use light meter or some cell phone app?
Hmmm...well now I'm more interested in the 120. Guess I'll go read up on it more now. Nice video Eduardo, gracias for sharing :)
The musical track is 🔥
That was super fun to watch Ed!! It’s so nice to see how you actually managed to take the shots 🤝🤝🤝🤝💙
I wish you still had the Mamiya C330 Ed. You made some fantastic work with it. Inspired me to get one too.

awesome, always enjoy your videos man - maybe i said it before but one of the few channels that focuses on purely photography : )
Queeeee? Cuando leí la advertencia del inicio no esperaba mucho de las fotos. Pero WOW! Todas me encantan! Buen vídeo como siempre.

Cual es la música del vídeo ? Gracias
Its so refreshing to see you can also take a bad picture :)
Another fantastic video! Thanks !!
Id love to try the Lomo LC-A 120 but they're so damn expensive.
I might buy a used one but still not sure on this camera…
You've got an amazing cloth bag! And the episode is fantastic as well!

I only get 11 ... seems that the advance creates large space between frames!!!
Yep. It’s the big issue with this camera.
Yes that happened to me also a half frame.

cool
Did anyone else see a face in the girl's bag at 3:34?
0:38 lol
As with all Lomo products........half assed
