@@m27315 Marrs bar is like low bar squat while the Prime is a high bar squat. Both can be used hands free although Marrs has more variety with the option to front squat with it. All comes down to what kind of squat you want to do and preference
I'll tell you what no one's talking about. THE BUDGET STAIR MASTER FROM SIGNATURE FITNESS. Cmon Coop i love your stuff, you're my go to guy. Let's get that one on the books. Take care brother.
🤣🤣 that name shot through my mind before you even said anything. Would love to see a tiered list. Especially since Kabuki came out with the Transformer X bar. Would like to get your take on that bar.
I purchased my prime super squat bar nearly a year ago. I’m in uk. I love it. Really love it. Although it does hurt my back when I’m heavy squatting and very cut..
I can't keep up brother! My BF list is growing. Definitely make that tier list as I've been holding off on a SSB because of the options of build vs price.
I previously owned the Kabuki Strength Transformer Bar, the Marrs Bar, and the Prime Super Squat Bar. However, I’ve since decided to keep only the Prime Super Squat Bar and have let go of the others. While the Transformer Bar offered a versatile range of functions and performed decently across the board, none of its features provided the level of satisfaction I get from the Prime Super Squat Bar. The Marrs Bar gives an optimal feel for low-bar squats, but I personally prefer high-bar squats, as they feel more comfortable for my body. That’s why I’ve chosen to keep only the Prime Super Squat Bar, and I am very pleased with this decision.
It’s the best SSB for squatting I have these BARS •AB SS Chewy •EliteFTS power bar •Duffalo •Rogue rackable curl bar •Kadillac •Prime Super Squat •Transformer SSB •Marrs Bar •Prime Open Trap
The most unique SSB on the market. Finally, a bar to get the most out of your quads in the squat instead of challenging everything that’s NOT your quads in the squat. Why was this such a no brainer? 🤷🏻♂️
I just noticed Rep has a wall-mounted athena that is just a little more expensive than the bells of steel weight stack squat rack set up. I'd love to see a video of the best compact squat rack/cable machine combos.
After the new kabuki X is out, you should do the SABCDF rating of all the bars. I’m a marrs bar user, but might consider one of the others as squatting is my favorite exercise.
I'd love to see a specific comparison between this and the Marrs bar. I've got the Marrs bar, and I like it a lot. Because of my neck surgery, the low back pad makes that the only safety squat bar I can use. I just wonder if this is like the Marrs bar but allows me to squat more upright. The Marrs bar is more like a low bar squat, and it would be nice to do a high bar squat every now and again.
The prime allows you to squat more upright because of the camber. It essentially resembles a high bar squat. Not sure if the back plate will affect your neck surgery, although it is super comfortable
I wish they were more competitive on their products in general. Like if you order their selectorized prodigy rack vs rep fitness's cable rack, for me it says its going to cost like at least $2000 just to ship it vs reps free shipping. Its like you either pay way too much for 1 machine or you buy like $20,000+ in equipment for better shipping rates.
Can you please at least let us know if Coop’s Rogue FM review will be dropping before Black Friday? Many of us wait until Black Friday each year to make our home gym equipment purchases so a Rogue FM review from Coop before then would be great.
Looks like a great product. There going to have a hard time with the 625+60 dollar shipment ask though. Not sure on current Titian SSB cost but I got mine for like 260 back in 2021. I imagine it's closer to 300-350 these days. And it does the job just fine. Granted it is Titian and not made in USA.
Love Prime Fitness, though it often seems like spatial efficiency is bottom of their priorities when it comes to equipment design. I mean look at their new smart arm, you'd need a whole room to store that thing.
I think this had a lot more potential when they initially said the camber would be adjustable like the transformer. Now it just looks cumbersome like the Power Lift SSB but with annoyingly long handles.
Honesty, I’d suggest a belt squat to deload the spine but get great leg work. I don’t know your issues, but that’s my general recommendation and what I had my dad do years ago, and it’s been a game changer for him. - Coop
lol, Kabuki won't last long enough as a company for the new transformer bar to come to market. The Prime SSB would 100% be my choice if I wasn't using my Marrs bar for squats.
Not exactly a safety squat bar in a sense, more like a super ergonomically enhanced squat bar. A SSB has a high tax on the upper body and its movement is a bit different from a normal squat; it’s harder too. I wish I could get one though, Prime stuff quality is out of this world. I have the shorty bench and this thing will be buried with me so I still can use it in hell.
L take at the end. This bar does almost as much as the Kabuki bar. Good mornings feels 10000% better on the prime bar and you can make the squat more and more quad focused by adding wedges of different angles. The kabuki bar never really delivered on doing anything it could do well. This bar does everything it does great.
To each his or her own, but IMO, it is too expensive. There are far cheaper options. As the late Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell Club said, "Everything works, but nothing works forever." There is no optimal exercise tool because as Louie Simmons also said, "Constantly change. As long as you keep changing something small, you can keep making progress. Once you start doing the same thing over and over, accommodation sets in. You're dead in the water. You don't make any progress." It makes more sense to me to buy a far cheaper safety squat bar, which you can buy for less than $100, and use the money you saved to buy other exercise equipment. For instance, you can rotate to belt squats, Zercher squats, and front squats.
Anyone want to trade their Prime Super Squat bar for my Kabuki Transformer Bar? Prime, can we get a trade in program like how I trade in my old Corolla at the Ferrari dealership.
Definitely do a tier list. These are some of my favorite videos!
Def do the tier list
How does it compare to Marr's squat bar? Also expensive, maybe more comfortable, but worth it? Consider older lifters in 40's and 50's.
yuh

Just bought it and set it up last week. It’s fantastic for the price point. Would love to see Coop do a proper review and share his thoughts on it.
@CheesyCow17 right! I'm seeing mixed reviews and the 3 videos on TH-cam about them aren't as in depth as coop gets. Maybe you can make one too lol
I bought this bar 6 months ago and it is the best one I have ever used. I would definitely buy it again.
Finally!! Was wondering why this bar has never been reviewed.
Just bought my first safety squat bar, a Titan SSB for $200 because of this video. Super stoked. Wanted one of these for a long time. Thanks Coop!
I’ve got one of these and love it, the most comfortable squat I’ve ever done!
+1 for the tier list 👏🏼

Yes, please, do a tier on Safety Squat Bars, and please include Black Widow's. It's one of the few that weighs only 45lbs.
Congrats on the twins uncle coop! Twins are the best and give a different perspective on parenting! Definitely want a video ranking all the SSB 🙌🏿
Yes tier list! Never tried one at all. Maybe I can talk my gym into buying one!

Sold my EFTS squat bar due to the small sleeve size and not able to use most collars. Went Rep and have been very happy.
I like this for squatting and the Transformer positioned for front squats for doing Good Mornings
It’s the best SSB for squatting
I have these
BARS

•EliteFTS power bar
•Duffalo
•Rogue rackable curl bar
•Kadillac
•Prime Super Squat

•Prime Open Trap
Surprisingly one of the most normally priced items in Prime’s line up when you consider how expensive stainless steel olympic bars can get.

Thanks for shouting out the transformer X bar. I was about to buy the transformer bar. Makes me feel better about waiting haha
Kabuki all the way woth the transformer bar. The one and only bar you will ever need for squats.
And here I am still rocking the OG Elite FTS SS Yoke bar 🤣🤣
Can you do a review on what is the best belt for belt squats? Love your channel brother. Im going to buy everything with your links

EliteFTS bar has been on sale a lot lately for under 300, often with free shipping.

For some reason I hate having my hands on the handles of my SSB. I have no idea why, but my natural instinct is to let go and just squat.
Sold all my SSBs after purchasing the Prime
Long handles are the point of the safety bar
Love Prime Fitness, though it often seems like spatial efficiency is bottom of their priorities when it comes to equipment design. I mean look at their new smart arm, you'd need a whole room to store that thing.
Kabuki has one that just came out. It’s perfect to belt squats!!! Please review I just got one to hook up to my Volta 1!
How do you like it with the voltra
Why even ask? Yes, we want a tier list.
I’m gonna say this as nicely as possible…
Shut up and review the Rogue FM already!! 😂 And compare to Ares 2.0 while you’re at it
I think this had a lot more potential when they initially said the camber would be adjustable like the transformer. Now it just looks cumbersome like the Power Lift SSB but with annoyingly long handles.
Rep SSB is superior
The adjustable camber was pretty sweet. I wonder if it was the cost, or potential legal issues that stopped them. - Coop
Ive never used a prime progidy hlp.. I would like to see how it compares directly to some of the other stuff that has been reviewed lately.
Good review, but your LMNT link isn't working
SUPER DOOPER POOPER SCOOPER COOPER lmao
I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the C2 Strength Erg yet or even went to their HQ.
Is a SSB easier on your lower back?
Coop (or anyone that knows) what brand pocket tee are you rocking in this video?
Do a tier list!
Your LMNT link doesn't not work. Pls refresh link. Thank you
Is this bar good for people who have back pain? I threw out my back about a 1.5 years ago, and I'm scared to do squats again.
Honesty, I’d suggest a belt squat to deload the spine but get great leg work. I don’t know your issues, but that’s my general recommendation and what I had my dad do years ago, and it’s been a game changer for him. - Coop
Have you been doing more direct neck work? Think I'm seeing some additional thickness.
Yes, actually. Thank you for noticing. - Coop
just buy a rack and lift that instead
Mark T aka Flex Marks the Spot talks about it quite a bit
what effects does it have on mustache development?
That monopoly guy mustache is wild disrespectful
please review some calf machines
lol, Kabuki won't last long enough as a company for the new transformer bar to come to market. The Prime SSB would 100% be my choice if I wasn't using my Marrs bar for squats.
In terms of how this bar sits on your back, how is it different from a "Mars" bar?
Sorry, I spelled it wrong: "Marrs" bar.
How does this perform on other exercises such as Good Mornings, JMPress?
Tier list!
What's your intake on the powertec home gym system?
Disappointed this wasn’t a tier list
Somebody is not up to date with LMNT
Am I the only one who thinks the upcoming Transformer X doesn't look sweet? That is the goofiest looking bar I've ever seen.
I just always look too big and too goofy for me, but I’ve never actually used it
SSB tier list would be sick. I need to order one soon so that would help so much!
I’d like to see it all stainless. It’s already expensive, let’s just do it big and make me happy
Tier list
review jacob's ladder!!!!
Never seen anyone squatting a serious weight with those gimmicky whatever super dooper cooper specialty bars.
That ain’t a SSB, that’s Matt Damon’s exo-suit from Elysium
Great video Super Pooper Scooper Cooper
"Or somebody that's a little bit smaller, like Nathan my camera guy." - come on, don't do Nathan like that.
if "SDPSC approved" doesn't end up on a sticker to put on gym equipment, what are we even doing here?
OK. That was hilarious.

No, but I'll give you $3.50 for it 😂
And then I knocked him out 🤣
Kabuki Transformer bar it is more more better then this one.
Way too gimmicky for my liking.
No that stash looks fake
Let’s go!
Is every video he does still sponsored by rogue ? I stopped watching a long time ago due to that
Yes
But you are still watching though James.
Even though he recommends other brands over rogue all the time? Also, you stopped watching but are still subscribed? Smells a little fishy to me.
Hes not even reviewing a rogue product.
