LOL, you called her shawty...nice!!! That was a very clean specimen...great fish. Dyang continues to be the multi species KING...count today = 6. I would love to see a soft shell turtle, I'm sure you run into those. Back in the day we called them swimmers...you always knew when it was a soft shell vs a snapper.

I have a spot that is loading with soft shells. We usually sit out for cats but the soft shells would get to the bait. They tend to inhale it so most of them end up with a hook in its throat and we end up just cutting the line.

@@DYangBass True dat...I don't think I ever removed the hook on a 'swimmer' or snapper. Cut the line every time. Bethesda used to be loaded with them, don't know if anymore. You would catch the occasional channel, those 14-18" ones (nothing like yours today) but the turtles were a huge nuisance and made things intolerable at times. Way to get after it!!!
