You sound like a shady car salesman who's trying to tell people not to use Carvana because its cutting into your sales. In other words, fuck off. Modern doctors are nothing more than overpaid car mechanics.
Yeah, I think the doctor in this video is unnecessarily dismissive of a test which on its own website clarifies it's not an allergy test. Ironically, the website agrees on most of what he says (going further as to state that highly sensitive foods aren't necessarily allergies, but gradually switching out of the diet might help), but his abrasive manner of speaking draws people in. A sensationalist video that doesn't say anything wrong medically, but misunderstands the audience and doesn't know that Everlywell agrees with them. Furthermore, a lot of the comments are making irrelevant points that: 1. everything makes you allergic in America 2. Everlywell works as an allergy test (claimed by neither the doctor nor Everlywell itself) 3. I found success via dieting and avoiding all the major sensitivities (which also misses the point). I think Dr. Mike's videos are better.
I spent 15 years seeing doctors about my stomach pain and bloating. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on test and Prilosec. I did the everlywell food sensitivity test and eliminated the very few foods it indicated I was mildly sensitive to and although I am not completely well yet the difference was evident almost immediately. So the 120 dollars was well spent and only equals what I spend in a year on Prilosec. While I appreciate and respect your insight this test did for me in three weeks what doctors could not in 15 years.
Same with me. I suffered from so many issues and then in the summer 2018 took my first food sensitivity (not allergy) test. Eliminated my 3 highs which were all Dairy and my life has been so much better. If I had relied on a doctor who balked at testing me, or told me to take a slew of medicine I would not feel like this today. The best money I ever spent. But to each his own.
Same. But this guy is an EXPERT! My stomach/bloating issues have made me lost faith in doctors. I spent thousands of dollars and saw numerous doctors and they just gave me pills that did nothing. I started eliminating things from my diet and fixed the issues myself.
Doctors always made me feel worse with their toxic Rx. Once I started taking care of myself, I’ve cured my rheumatoid arthritis and hepatitis C and I’m feeling much better with my crohns and hope to be cured of that also.
Food sensitivity is different from food allergies. I had my food sensitivity tests done by Alcat through a local lab. Your title is misleading and may make some viewers doubt the reality of food sensitivity. Eliminating the foods to which I was insensitive changed my whole life. I lost weight (10 lbs in like a month just from the diet change, and another 20 lbs from continuing to exercise over a few months) and my clinical depression symptoms were extremely diminished.
posy & kettle you are wrong. Read about the Alcat test. Food intolerance/sensitivities are real. They are not a scam. I have not had any allergy testing, as I pretty much know what I’m mildly allergic to and know that I don’t have anything that will produce a severe allergic reaction in me. But food sensitivity in the form food intolerance is equally real. Your denying it is a bit like saying thirst isn’t real because I’m starving. I’m not trying to diminish your situation. Don’t diminish mine. I also got rid of stomach ulcers, eosinophilic esophagitus, and ibs by eliminating the foods to which I was intolerant. Blindly following someone just because they make good points elsewhere is not a good idea. This youtuber needs to know that food sensitivities are real before he causes a large number of his viewers to needlessly suffer. Doctors gave me antacids and a bunch of other bs medicine for my digestive issues. None of it worked. In fact, their medicines sent me to the emergency room. I changed my life after that...finding out my 150 food intolerances actually had a lot do with that and all by itself actually got rid of my digestive problems. And if you’ve never had eosinophilic esophagitus or ulcers, then you should just stop responding like you know everything just because you have food allergies (which I do not deny is equally legitimate).
posy & kettle you cannot be bothered to actually read the alcat site which specifically says it does not test for igg or ige. They have a different method involving testing of the cell. And yes, I had two endoscopies. One of them diagnosed me with EE and the ulcers, and the other one a few years later (but within a year of dealing with my food intolerances) showed that I was clear of both. You may want to look deeper into this before you religiously hold on to the dogma that it cannot be tested for.
posy & kettle and no real MD solved my problem either. (But Alcat testing is performed by MDs at the facility and they even have follow ups at real MDs locally if you want to talk about it. But hey...you are correct that no MD actually recommended I get the test. Good or bad?). That website you sent doesn’t address the why. It just says that all intolerance testing is a scam. Funny how not only has it helped me, but I have friends I’ve told about my journey and whose lives have also been improved by it. Also you keep holding on to IGG and IGE testing. They don’t do that. Why not read the site? It’s ok if you don’t. But don’t respond and tell me it’s a scam if you’re not going to bother to read what they do. (Food intolerance is fairly new and doctors are largely uneducated on it. Some know and will act on it. But most stick to drugs. For me, this was a life sentence to pain. I chose freedom.) My aim in posting the comment is to help people like you. Doctors failed me. I’m healthy now because I made my own decisions about preventing disease.
posy & kettle that’s a decent and honest review of the alcat test. I cannot argue with my body though. Getting and reacting to that test helped me and the author admits that some studies have demonstrated this. I’ll stick with using doctors only when I have a mechanical problem like a broken bone or an actual illness for which I need drugs or antibiotics or antifungals or whatever. For now, I went from almost infirmed and unable to eat anything to now where I’m able to live eating what I want without fear that food might get stuck in my esophagus or pain when I sleep from the ulcers. Good luck to you. Doctors have their uses, but some things require lifestyle change and figuring out what you cannot eat. My elimination diet that I tried before my food intolerance testing revealed nonsense to me. Once I had the test I was able to make sense of sometimes being able to eat chicken and sometimes not (it depended on whether it had black pepper and/or potato cooked onto it). Maybe I was just bad at elimination. But Alcat cleared up the confusion for me.
posy & kettle you keep bringing up your allergy when Darksol99 is repeatedly mentioning sensitivity. They’re different and you’re being aggressive. I’ve yet to take a sensitivity test and I understand there are sometimes false positives, but there are so many stories of people who took the Everlywell test and were able to majorly reduce/eliminate their problems by cutting out the foods on their sensitivity list. Doctors only know what they’re taught and they might know a lot, but new research is always coming out and they also don’t have to take too many nutrition hours (which is sad). My best friend had almonds on her list and took the Everlywell test because of chronic bowel issues. After giving up almonds her problems disappeared. It doesn’t test for true allergies and there is a margin of error, but clearly people are benefiting so you can’t say it’s a scam. It gives people an idea of what foods they can try eliminating and reintroducing rather than give up every potential sensitivity at once. You know? It’s a start.
Easy, you start tracking what you eat. Every day right down the meals that you have and when you feel like shit, start looking into what ingredients that meal had and then you work it from there
If there is a difference between allergy and intolerance tests, why can't they work together to get a person optimum health? I don't understand why a video like this is made unless doctors are afraid of losing their clients.
Unfortunately pediatricians will tell you they won't do any allergy testing until your child is 1yo. So here I am, looking into food intolerance tests because doctors think allergies in kids aren't that big of a deal, "they'll grow out of them". My kid was covered in eczema, and I had to play a detective trying to find what caused it. It was milk (put cow's milk on his skin and it immediately went red). So I quit eating all dairy so my baby could better (breastfeeding). He did. Until til this morning he was covered in hives. Was it the carrots he ate? Was it the bagel I ate last night? Idk what it is and won't be able to find out because my doctor won't test him. What if he has an anaphylactic shock the next time he tries a new food?? And I guess I have to "eliminate" his foods and my foods. You speak like it's so easy. It's not. Reading all the labels trying to avoid certain ingredients isn't easy. And if there's a test out there that may shed some light to what's wrong with my child, I will pay and see what that test says. 'Cause God knows doctors are useless who shrug their shoulders and say "yeah...looks like it".
How is your baby now? I went to 3 different doctors for a weird rash 10 years ago. One said I had a staff infection and I was put on antibiotics (didn't go away. ) Other doc said I had bed bugs (Nope) another one said impetigo. It went away after I stopped drinking Splash juice made with splenda ( started drinking tons of it 1 month) and I googled the connection online. Not many doctors know about Spenda and rashes. Steroids for nothing!
There are official medical tests that detect food allergies (and sensitivities - if you want) in ACCREDITED laboratories. Those tests are done on blood samples, and not by some very suspect buzzing instruments that no one checked and accredited.
"PRE-TEST PROBABILITY" As a Pathologist, I really wish more health care providers understood how this affects the positive and negative predictive value of a test. Every medical student that comes through my lab has a discussion with me on this subject. Most of them will never be Pathologists or run a lab, but 100% of them will order and interpret lab and radiology studies. If they don't have a very clear understanding of this concept, they will invariably order unnecessary tests, make incorrect judgments and in some cases cause real harm to some of their patients. Thanks again for mentioning this.
Doctors are not all knowing. That’s why it’s important to get second opinions. Do both, consult your doctor first and do your own tests if you want to and are able. You can even order some yourself through Labcorp, Quest, and Any Lab Test Now. Most doctors use these labs anyway. I have Lupus and the EverlyWell test has helped me figure out which foods make my autoimmune disease flare up. I did elimination diets for a year and a half with extreme organization and documentation to no avail. This guy is fake news. EverlyWell did show which foods were inflammatory and it also confirmed my allergens which were already confirmed by an allergist who is an ENT MD via a skin test. Odd coincidence? Don’t think so.

Intolerant is not the same as an allergy… most of us know this. Ppl who have had complete turn around with their autoimmune by healing their gut. You’re doing a huge disservice by trying to discredit people who clearly are trying to help those of us that have long term illnesses. It’s bias like this that give doctors such a bad reputation.
Yes, see a doctor who charges me $900 for a skin prick test. I got the My Lab Box and it was completely blind, no pre-questions, and all the foods I have reacted to (coughing, sneezing, sick to my stomach, body aches and lethargy) tested in the high range. It cost me $94 and was worth every penny. My allergist tested me, charged me $900 and my test was inconclusive, so they wanted to retest on my arm (because some people don't have mast cell reaction on their backs) and it would cost another $900. Who is the scammer?
Good points, everything is run by money including medicine. There is lobbying in the government by dairy, corn, wheat industries, same thing in universities, do what's best for you instead of blindly following a doctor I hate to say

I went to doctor, and spent $1000 for skin prick test and other tests. They told me I have no alergies, but I still have many issues with food. I found your attitude very arrogant, you don't have a real solution for a big problem and making fun of patients.
My GI doctor specifically told me to get a food allergy blood test after I tested negative for celiac. This was after I went to the ER for digestive issues and tested negative for everything.
Wait but can't you be less tolerant to certain foods even though it's not a full blown allergy? Like some fatigue and some mild skin issues? I wonder if food intolerances are as black and white as you're presenting them to be.
Thank you.Like is it wrong to want to improve your quality of life by trying to eliminate foods that bring discomfort rather than getting used to taking antacids everyday or just feeling like crap.
While I agree with everything else, I don't think it's accurate to say you'll know immediately if you have a food allergy. What about food allergies that present with no symptoms? Asymptomatic celiac, for example. Many people with it don't realize they have it until they get tested later in life, yet it's still important to avoid gluten to prevent gut damage even if symptoms aren't present.
This guy was wrong during covid and is wrong now. I was super sick for years and saw a great many different doctors who all just told me that I was fine and “doing everything right” and never helped me. Then I went to a functional medicine doctor who did a bunch of tests, told me to stop eating certain foods and I feel better now than I did in my 20s! (I’m 51 now.) My adult son also had big problems with gut inflammation and had all sorts of invasive tests that told him that he was sick but with no help as to how to get better. Doctors wanted him to take meds. He took a home food sensitivity test and eliminated all the foods he was shown to be sensitive to and is now healthy and without issues. THIS doctor says it right when he claims we need to be careful of those trying to make money off of us. He is in fact a regular medical doctor who doesn’t want you to see natural paths or functional medicine doctors or find things out for yourselves because HE wants you to put the money in HIS pocket. Well, let’s hope I’m wrong but that’s what I’m hearing.
The Everly Well website reads sensitivity test not allergy test🧐. I don't see the harm in identifying a list to eliminate and then slowly reintroducing items back in. This seems faster. It could take months to eliminate one at a time without knowing.😳

Thank you for putting out this video while these tests are gaining traction among people all over. I'm glad you're doing the good work and keeping people informed
If I had taken Everlywell food sensitivity test 5 years ago it would have saved me literally thousands not to mention the side effects of numerous prescriptions. I don’t care if it’s an allergy or not. Sensitivities cause delayed longer lasting inflammation. They are much harder to narrow down. Think of it as trying to empty a bathtub with the faucet still running. After eliminating what everlywell showed I was sensitive to my symptoms reversed within days. Why am I sensitive to those things, who cares. Eliminate them, let your immune system catch a break and then add them back if you want to.
The only thing that makes me nervous is, say you are eating a lot of pesto sauce or tomatoes recently. It will show up as a sensitivity to basil and tomatoes just because you have been eating them ? I think he is trying to say? I went to 3 different doctors for a weird rash 10 years ago. One said I had a staff infection and I was put on antibiotics (didn't go away. ) Other doc said I had bed bugs (Nope) another one said impetigo. My son’s allergist uses IgG and IgE. Increased IgG doesn’t indicate a food sensitivity, it indicates that the body has been exposed to the food and is tolerating it.
Wouldn't it be nice if the DOC cared to take the time to help the patient sitting in front of them, GETTING PAID and WATCHING THEIR VERY EXPENSIVE WATCH and making no bones about " your 1 question and 15 minutes are up". The real world are forced to try anything to in alleviate the discomfort.
Also, my immunologist pointed out that there are foods that I'm intolerant to. I find that it is important to teach about the difference between allergies and intolerances.
OK, so what? For ordinary people what matters is that they should not eat certain food. If the reason is an allergy or intolerance - that is something irrelevant for them.
My dad and I both know wheat is causing him some severe health problems that he keeps blaming on every medication he gets prescribed. We have done the elimination diet. I have a severe reaction myself, had a nutritionist confirm- though she said it was gluten intolerance when it's a different compound in wheat but that's semantics. I had the same symptoms that he is now having, before I got diagnosed and after I went back on a wheat-o-licious diet. He knows full well. Yet he refuses to give up his pizza and bread. "glootem free bread is so gr0ss". He is obese. He could easily fix that. I want to get him this test and manipulate the results to make him actually throw out his doughnuts.
Omg "stop eating the food!" Hmm... How come I didn't think of that?? 🤔 ((sense my sarcasm)) because I have literally tried to eliminate every practical food you can think of but here in America everything is tainted! Ingredients!!! There are ingredients in the food. Even an apple has an added coating. Organic here isn't really organic but that's a whole other story. I agree home tests are rubbish but elimination isn't always the culprit! Most "lactose intolerant" people are casein intolerant. Most people dont even know wtf casein is!! Most people who are actually at the point of considering a food allergy test have tried eliminating the basics, I guarantee it. (And) those who havent, really just dont know!! And I am referring to both allergies and intolerances.

@zdoggmd As you can see from my other thread, your blanket condemnation of all food sensitivity testing (by conflating food intolerance and food allergy testing) is going to make it harder for people to get the help they need. Someone in a lot of pain is working really hard to try to prove to me that I didn’t successfully heal my body from eosinophilic esophagitus and stomach ulcers. It’s amazing how much pain they must still be in because they listen to people who just haven’t done the research. You are a good doctor generally in my view and I was just disappointed to see this video. I figured knowledgeable viewer feedback would be useful to you.
Jack Marchese About 6 years ago, I tried to keep a food journal at first. I started out knowing that sometimes when I ate avocado, or lime, or bread, or chicken, or canned tuna, or sushi, I would feel ill or food would get stuck on its way down my esophagus. When I would try to ‘eat healthy’ (you know...flax seed in my cereal etc), I would get incredible stomach pain. The story would end up being way more complicated. About 5 years ago, I actually had an endoscopy done because my stomach itself often felt like something was inside me trying to cut its way out. They found two ulcers in the antrum of my stomach and eosinophilic esophagitus. The doctors prescribed me Omeprazole (Prilosec). A week later I was in the emergency room presenting with incredible pain in my stomach area. After that visit, the doctors there prescribed me Zantac. I took both Prilosec and Zantac because the doctors didn’t tell me taking both would cause issues. Needless to stay, I stopped digesting my food. After that crazy experience with doctors, I decided to stop taking everything. I started drinking more water and using the elliptical machine at the gym (I was sedentary at that time...so that was ‘exercise’ for me). This went a long way for my stomach pain, but food would still get stuck. The doctors told me to sleep with my chest ‘above’ my waist to help mitigate the issues, but in the end none of that worked. It was 2 years ago (three years after the endoscopy) that I finally decided to get a food intolerance test (I used Alcat). They found that I was extremely intolerant to lime, dill, and vanilla. I had something like 150 other food intolerances as well as intolerance to chemicals like flouride and sweeteners like stevia. There are even certain sugars, like maple, that I’m intolerant to. To my surprise I was not intolerant to chicken. If you recall, my food journal said I should be careful with chicken. Well I am intolerant to black pepper, potato, onion, and garlic. All of these things are extremely commonly cooked on chicken (if you go to the grocery, you’ll see in their rotisserie chickens, they have potato dextrin sometimes, for example; the ‘plain’ chicken will definitely have pepper...it’s a mess). So this made me realize that my food journal had given me the wrong information because I wasn’t being careful enough with particular ingredients. But even if I had, I am intolerant to over 150 things. A journal would have taken me decades to figure all that out. Food intolerances (distinct from food allergies) can go away. But you have to strictly stay away from the foods for 6 months. I didn’t ever get a follow up test...so I don’t know whether I’m still so intolerant anymore. Keeping my food intolerance diet changed my life. I was able to really exercise (ever since, I’ve built up to running five days a week and actually lifting two days a week; I’m much healthier than I was). A few anecdotes: Getting rid of flouride made brushing my teeth a quick and easy affair. When I was brushing with flouride, I would cough so hard, I would gag. This was most of my adulthood... I just assumed it was normal. This intolerance test immediately eliminated that issue. Chicken has been absolutely incredible as a staple in my diet since and gives me no trouble. About a year and a half ago, I signed up for an eosinophilic esophagitus study. They had to do a free endoscopy on me to see if I still had eosinophilic esophagitus. They found, first of all, no sign that I ever had ulcers in my stomach. They also did find some small evidence that I had eosinophilic esophagitus. But the endoscopy ended up disqualifying me from the study. It meant to me that after only six months of keeping my food intolerance diet, I had healed my body (something doctors failed to do). So I stand by my faith in food intolerance science.
Jack Marchese I’m 38 now. But I was living with severe digestive issues all through my 20s. My stomach is what sent me to get the first endoscopy...and that was when I was around 33. Just want to point out that breaks in the gut lining (which can be caused by overuse of certain medicines, like ibuprofen) can cause food intolerance. Food intolerance is always a symptom of disease in my opinion (I’m not a doctor...so take that with a grain of salt). In addition to keeping my food intolerance diet strictly for 6 months, I also used L-glutamine to help my body heal the tears in my gut lining. DO NOT USE L-Glutamine if you are on blood pressure medicine...and definitely ask your doctor before you try something as extreme as the therapeutic dose of L-glutamine (half a gram per kilogram of lean body mass per day for 10 to 14 days... that’s 40 grams per day for me, because my lean body mass is 80 kilograms, for example). I also treat things that can affect the lining of the gut the same way I treat sugar...I’ll eat it, but only once in awhile for fun. These include milk, any glutenins (means rice, bread, anything; wheat gluten is what most people mean when they say they are gluten intolerant; but all grains have glutenins...all grains), legumes (so beans, nuts, etc), caffeine, alcohol, and certain vegetables and fruits (spinach contains oxalates for example which can mechanically harm the lining of the gut; tomato seeds and skin can also do this). Currently: My diet 5 days a week: eggs, sardines, chicken, brussel sprouts, water. I’ll also have blueberries to ‘cheat’ if I feel like it. On the weekends I eat whatever I want. Since I’m Jewish, this often means bread (challah), as well as well seasoned food that clearly contains food to which I’m intolerant. Life is a balance. But at the start, you do have to over correct. When I first started this, I was strict 7 days a week. No screw ups...no cheats.
Jack Marchese as someone who has felt as powerless as you probably do right now, I can tell you that getting the food intolerance test really did a lot to get me healthier. The problem with the test is the cost. The full spectrum comprehensive test is not covered by insurance (and I don’t think any doctors will order it for you). It cost me 2000 bucks (not 200...2000). I know it’s a lot, but it just changed everything. Yeah, stick to foods that don’t aggravate the problem in the meanwhile. If you just avoid glutenins, milk products, legumes, caffeine, and alcohol, and if you do things to de-stress (meditate, take long non-exercise walks, maybe exercise too), you’ll probably feel better. Drink lots of water (especially if your stomach is in pain...5 years ago, before I knew about food intolerance, I found water to be the best ‘antacid’ period). If one glass doesn’t make you feel better, drink another. Keep drinking until whatever is in your stomach gets diluted enough to not aggravate you anymore. I eat slightly cooked brussel sprouts (high heat, four minutes, in safflower oil...so it doesn’t burn). Slightly cooking the brussel sprouts makes them just plain healthy (uncooked brussel sprouts can actually harm you because of the ‘bad’ iocyanithates...but cooking them changes them into beneficial iocyanithates; Dr Rhonda Patrick has a great video on the benefits of cruciferous veggies like brussel sprouts). You don’t ‘need’ the food intolerance test to know that all of the things I mentioned just now can aggravate the lining of the gut, and that drinking water and eating mild foods will make you feel better. Be good to yourself. The food intolerance test will give you more information and you’ll end up finding out odd things, like an intolerance to black pepper for example, in my case. This will make it easier to stay ‘strict’ and still enjoy your food. During that initial six months, I allowed myself cayenne pepper because I knew I wasn’t intolerant to it.

Food intolerance test isn’t testing allergies, it’s looking to see if you lack enzymes that break proteins down into amino acids. please don’t listen to this guy if you are having painful symptoms and suspect you have an intolerance. Find a reputable company and get tested.

Any insights on the 23and Me genetic testing that also gives genetic dietary allergies and sensitivities which need to be interpreted by a nutritionist?
I did this test and found i was sensitive to Chicken Beef Coffee, i had always had a bad reaction after drinking coffee thought it was the caffeine, i switched to tea now i feel alot better
Allergy testing is one of over 100 tests that EverlyWell does. The problem that the company seeks to address isn’t about medicine, it’s about distribution economics. Currently, if I want a Vit D test for example, I would need to schedule a doc appointment to get the test. EverlyWell now sells the test in stores. The fact that some of those tests are more valid than others, IMHO, isn’t EverlyWell’s problem. The fact is that all of these tests existed before EverlyWell and they are just making them available to the consumer more cheaply and conveniently. I think a broad-based distributor should be able to solve an important economic problem (distribution) without being held accountable for the underlying merits of the product. For example, CVS sells store-brand cookies that are as unhealthy as the branded Oreos. Are they now accountable for the poor health profile of that product, or are they just solving a distribution problem on a product that would exist regardless. That is not to dispute your views of allergy testing, which seem well founded.
weird. the test i took tested for IgG and IgE, defined the difference between the two, informed me that false positives were possible and this was a starting point for further information. I've spent the last 16 years asking doctors for help with my pain and dermatitis and the answer i get 100% of the time is that they dont know what causes this and this will just be me for the rest of my life. Why wouldnt people take their health into their own hands when doctors use a textbook to define whats wrong with you (if they even give you an answer) rather then exploring possibilities and actually learning new things about our bodies and health. And damn. no ones even going to see this but I have made huge strides in my overall health just by taking my health into my own hands and not letting doctors dictate my life.

he makes no sense, 1st he says it doesn't work, its a waste of money, then he says if you think you might be feeling bad, stop eating the foods and see what happens.... UUUMMMM!!! I THINK THATS WHY PEOPLE WANT TO TAKE THE TEST, SO THEY CAN STOP TAKING THE FOODS THAT THEY ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH.

After an in office allergy test due to my extremely swollen face and eyes (could not work), we discovered an egg allergy. However I DID NOT react immediately after eating them. Was eating them seven days a week and was told I have a delayed reaction sensitivity to eggs. Cut them out for a while and can now eat them occasionally with no problem. If I did an elimination diet and re-introduced eggs, I would have no idea how they affected me unless I was eating them daily.
cant believe i need to check a doc on this but actually the sensitivity to a food IgG indicator is technically a first stage allergic reaction Not on a cellular level, i believe the medical test books say there are 3 stages
So at 45yrs old I took the "Now Leap" food IGG sensitivity blood test - My off list was black pepper, pineapple, chicken -- a few other relatively healthy foods. On this food plan lost 30lbs and have zero joint pain-- 53years young. Could be placebo - don't care-- it worked !!
They have services where you can have your thyroid tested and a doctor will prescribe you medication without seeing you! They send birth control pills through a website! My oldest daughter is away at college and a friend was going to do that. My daughter told her not to because you need to have your “lady parts” checked out at least once a year. She is wise beyond her years!
Valerie McDonald, I'm not sure if I'm reading your post correctly. Have you looked up the hormone zonulin and the drug lorazotide acetate which is currently in or near clinical trial level 3? Also, have you checked out the research pertaining to zonulin and it's relationship to celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and IBS with diarrhea? The Italians are especially keen on doing this research.
You’re telling us that “naturopaths that get paid are full of crap”? How are you any different? These people that you claim are full of crap are actually your competition. This video gives zero information. I’m “woke as heck” also... and you’re a sales guy. No thanks.
I agree. However, there are so many extra ingredients in food that it is hard to just say that one is allergic or have an intolerance to a certain food. For instance I went to the store and was looking for vegan butter alternatives. Most of them were filled with additives like rape seed oil, cottonseed oil, tapioca, and a bunch of other stuff. So just eliminating a food doesn’t really do it because it might just be an extra ingredient. 😫
It’s important to remember that Everlywell now supports IGE allergy testing, which are accurate and safe. Although the “sensitivity” ones are not completely accurate.
Hello sir, I am from India and suffering from common Cold for few years, as environment changes i got cold that lasts for probably15days, i got cold 5-6 times in year and due to that i have nasal congestion, i go to a clinic and doctor recommended me an alergy treat SPT. That's so expensive for me 5000 rs, should i do that, please help me i am confused
I have a friend who took this test and is now literally starving herself to death. She has to do online school because she can’t even get out of bed. Her mom is the reason. Meanwhile me who has actually allergies to peanuts, tree nuts and kiwi has almost died 5 times in the past 2 years from anaphylaxis.
Don't spend a small amount of money on at-home testing for food sensitivities and intolerances; you can spend thousands learning about rare immune response allergies with this doctor. 🤝
Another thing CAP or API which are Proficiency Testing agencies don't have split samples that must be one every quarter..So tell me how does the lab challenge themselves on this test?? SIMPLY THEY CAN'T
Every video I look at on this conflates sensitivity with allergy. Can you please highlight the difference because you speak almost exclusively about allergies in this video even though the title also has "sensitivity" in it?
Dr please help me . I don't know what to do I am having severe abdominal burning pain and swollen type pain with anything I eat. My GI DR did over 30 different tests and still found out nothing including endoscopies and colonoscopies . I will eat something and I get itchy tongue itchy body and very swollen flatulence burning pain all over my abdomen. I am so depressed about this because I am afraid about eating anything. I went to the allergist and they did a back allergy test but nothing came out. Than they did a histamine plasma and ch50 complement test and both test came out 6 times higher than the normal. Now the Dr was not concern at all and he said thats not that high. I have seen so many different drs and none gives me an at all. Please help me !! I am depressed anxious and going crazy as I dont want to live with this pain
You are downplaying serious concerns. The gluten protein causes gut wall damage with most people and leaky gut with many others. It is highly inflammatory. The way wheat has been modified over the years to resist pests and promote higher yields is harmful to the human body.
It's just legit enough to prey on people's ignorance. I'm sure it explains and disclaimers tf out of what's being tested, in small print, and big words. The Sharks wont use it themselves but they're in it for profit, hence being named after a ruthless predator.
Majority of MD’s know as much about nutrition as I do about medicine. An extremely basic knowledge of.. but still have the doctorate complex functioning. Not helpful.

Everlywell, should say food sensitivity, not allergies. Food sensitivity testing, like Simply Sensitivity, for people with chronic issues. Just wanting to find some relief. There, fixed it.

This is very important. Thank you for uploading a highly informative video. As someone who has true food allergies, I want to share this with everyone who says they have food allergies.
When I heard IgG I was like.... but allergies are IgE mediated....?? and then you explained that’s the point of the scam. 😂 This is an awful scam though especially because immunology is very difficult to explain to lay people. Thanks for raising awareness about this!

You sound like a shady car salesman who's trying to tell people not to use Carvana because its cutting into your sales.
In other words, fuck off.
Modern doctors are nothing more than overpaid car mechanics.
Some of these cats are talking about the difference between intolerance and allergies
My understanding is those tests are for food sensitivity not allergies. The website clarifies that its not an allergy test
its actually technically a first stage allergy
@@TheHalusis No, the test just gives you a probability to what you could be allergic to.
Furthermore, a lot of the comments are making irrelevant points that:
1. everything makes you allergic in America
2. Everlywell works as an allergy test (claimed by neither the doctor nor Everlywell itself)

Did you have a hair sample or blood sample test?
@@reallivingtv1662 Sorry, Just saw this. I took the blood tests from everlywell.
I chose freedom.)
My aim in posting the comment is to help people like you.
How am I supposed to eliminate a food that causes discomfort if I don’t know which food is causing it ?
Easy, you start tracking what you eat. Every day right down the meals that you have and when you feel like shit, start looking into what ingredients that meal had and then you work it from there
@@Vicpadilla79 this is how disordered eating starts
@@Vicpadilla79or you just do a food sensitivity test and eliminate trial and error?

I have tried to explain this to the ER physicians at my hospital every time they order d-dimer for no reason.
Thank you for what you're doing!

Who is the scammer?
interesting ty

I went to doctor, and spent $1000 for skin prick test and other tests. They told me I have no alergies, but I still have many issues with food. I found your attitude very arrogant, you don't have a real solution for a big problem and making fun of patients.
My GI doctor specifically told me to get a food allergy blood test after I tested negative for celiac. This was after I went to the ER for digestive issues and tested negative for everything.
And your results?
Someone who claims to have chronic lyme disease has a very high pretest probability of having a chiropractor or naturopath.
MrPhange Phange I’ve been wondering why so many celebrities have Lyme disease
Thanks!
The Everly Well website reads sensitivity test not allergy test🧐. I don't see the harm in identifying a list to eliminate and then slowly reintroducing items back in. This seems faster. It could take months to eliminate one at a time without knowing.😳

I want to get him this test and manipulate the results to make him actually throw out his doughnuts.
well... everlywell dosent test for allergies, theyre quite upfront about it, can we get a debunk on this debunk video?
Tests show that I'm gummy bear deficient. Guess I gotta start eating them more now.
And I am referring to both allergies and intolerances.
this rant has nothing to do with the tests

As you can see from my other thread, your blanket condemnation of all food sensitivity testing (by conflating food intolerance and food allergy testing) is going to make it harder for people to get the help they need.

About 6 years ago, I tried to keep a food journal at first.
A few anecdotes:
Getting rid of flouride made brushing my teeth a quick and easy affair.

My diet 5 days a week: eggs, sardines, chicken, brussel sprouts, water.

Steroids for nothing!!

Those are pretty good advices, but their number is low. You get let's say 20 such info (on food allergy/intolerance),
I did this test and found i was sensitive to Chicken Beef Coffee, i had always had a bad reaction after drinking coffee thought it was the caffeine, i switched to tea now i feel alot better
Daily allowance of gummy bears - my kind of doctor!
What is the daily percent value for gummy bears? I think I have a low gummy bear count?
I believe the recomended dose is untill you feel icky..... thats my professional advice.
“This bald clown in his backyard” 🤣🤣🤣
weird. the test i took tested for IgG and IgE, defined the difference between the two, informed me that false positives were possible and this was a starting point for further information.

Yeah... food allergies are freaking scary. I eat egg, immediately throw up and my lips swell up.. I don't eat eggs anymore 🤷♀️
Natalie Dubious, I hear you! I am sulfur intolerant, so I can eat the egg white but not the egg yolk.
So is this new testing done by Elizabeth Holmes at Theranos?
So at 45yrs old I took the "Now Leap" food IGG sensitivity blood test -
My off list was black pepper, pineapple, chicken -- a few other relatively healthy foods.
I've seen the stuff where they'll send you BC without a prescription! So dangerous!
What do you do when practically everything makes you bloated? I’m lost at this point.
Go on Keto diet. Eliminate the sugar. You will be amazed at the results! Drs won’t tell you this.
Misleading title why even do that old man the food sensitivity is not even the same
This is the only source I’ve found that gives a strong warning so thank you
I'm with you, but the I'm feeling attacked over my gluten sensitivity lol
Valerie McDonald, I'm not sure if I'm reading your post correctly. Have you looked up the hormone zonulin and the drug lorazotide acetate which is currently in or near clinical trial level 3? Also, have you checked out the research pertaining to zonulin and it's relationship to celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and IBS with diarrhea? The Italians are especially keen on doing this research.
@@kimberlycooper4170 I have not looked up hormone or drug research. I will check them out, but I watch ZDogg as a patient so I'm no expert.
Any opinion on the new anti-C3d + igg? Wondering if it is a complete scam as well.
The thing is mate placebo works! So I'm going to get tested.
Can someone tell me why my left eye swells shut if I eat a banana after taking Aleeve ?
Hi doctor,
Thanks for your video. What about the FST done in the laboratory? Is that one a scam, too? Looking forward to your response.
How about the ALCAT test? I believe this is through blood test, am I correct?
I have a friend who took this test and is now literally starving herself to death. She has to do online school because she can’t even get out of bed. Her mom is the reason. Meanwhile me who has actually allergies to peanuts, tree nuts and kiwi has almost died 5 times in the past 2 years from anaphylaxis.
My brain when you said IgG: 🤨
Sooooo, eat what you want and if you don’t vomit within 30 minutes you’re good to go! 👍🏼
Don't spend a small amount of money on at-home testing for food sensitivities and intolerances; you can spend thousands learning about rare immune response allergies with this doctor. 🤝
Not a food allergy test. It’s a food sensitivity test, educated people know that there is a difference 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Thank you. I was just scrolling to see if I needed to make this comment. This video is click-bait supreme.
Food allergy and food sensitivity are almost the same. So your comment makes no sense.
Raw milk/sourdough/etc to rebuild gut biome. Things should improve from there. Weston Price foundation is a good resource.
Daily allowance of gummy bears give this doctor a applause telling people to eat crap
Cyrex Labs is the only one in the U.S. who truly does allergy testing.
So are food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances the same? What are you debunking?
Thank you for this information!
You are downplaying serious concerns. The gluten protein causes gut wall damage with most people and leaky gut with many others. It is highly inflammatory. The way wheat has been modified over the years to resist pests and promote higher yields is harmful to the human body.
What a scam. Can’t believe the shark tank people fell for that
All they care about is that it should sell. Unfortunate it probably will.
They’re not medical professionals. Laypeople can easily be confused by pseudoscience.
It's just legit enough to prey on people's ignorance. I'm sure it explains and disclaimers tf out of what's being tested, in small print, and big words. The Sharks wont use it themselves but they're in it for profit, hence being named after a ruthless predator.
It’s preying on the vulnerable
Majority of MD’s know as much about nutrition as I do about medicine. An extremely basic knowledge of.. but still have the doctorate complex functioning. Not helpful.
Thank you!!!! I work in the functional GI field as a psychologist alongside dietitians and pelvic floor physios. Always nice to hear you looking out for the patients. Need more doctors like you in our regulation agencies.
ER Physician: Orders D-Dimer on everyone
Internist: Dude, pretest probability
Surgeon: Need an IVC filter? Vanc+Zosyn
Thank you for being so informative.
Lol you are right and wrong the same time. But One thing for sure is you are owned by Pharmaceutical company
The home tests aren't to test for allergies. They test for intolerances.
But scamming the worried well is so profitable!
Thank you. You just saved me £140 on a test just like this!
You have a great view there. I hope no one builds to block you.
You’re wrong. You haven’t even taken the time to research food allergies vs food sensitivity. From experience they’ve made a difference
I like to get my daily intake of gummy bears. It helps with my allergies for neuropaths
THANK YOU!
I definitely have a food intolerance that giving me depression.
straight to the point. thank you!
Where does the FDA come down on my DA of Gummi (Gummy) bears? More importantly, what’s Doc Vader’s take on this???
He completely missed the point ? It’s not an allergy test 😂

Steroids for nothing!!!
It say's I'm allergic to eggs & chicken. I have been eating this my whole life!
I wonder if it shows up as foods you are currently eating a lot of?
Everlywell, should say food sensitivity, not allergies. Food sensitivity testing, like Simply Sensitivity, for people with chronic issues. Just wanting to find some relief.
There, fixed it.

Great video!!!!
Permeable intestine is usually the issue
This is very important. Thank you for uploading a highly informative video. As someone who has true food allergies, I want to share this with everyone who says they have food allergies.
When I heard IgG I was like.... but allergies are IgE mediated....?? and then you explained that’s the point of the scam. 😂
This is an awful scam though especially because immunology is very difficult to explain to lay people. Thanks for raising awareness about this!
You just saved me $180!! Thank you very much :)
I Love This Guy!!
What if allergy test at the doctors is negative, but you are told you are sensitive, besides elimination diet, how can you test for food sensitivity?!
Fathers day sale on check my body. I got full test for only $38
I love science and his sass!
Igg test for allergy its like co2 test for carbon monoxide poisoning
All that is a scam for money!
