Well, everywhere except for the Netherlands, riding a bicycle in a big city means trading personal safety for something else, be it fun, cash, or whatever.

@@DP-sh3nk still inconvenient in some circumstances. Some may consider the additional risk worth it. As for myself, I usually wear a helmet, but not always, a.E. on the way to the train, with no place to store it, and having to keep the thing with me for a whole train travel otherwise.

If you're really concerned about ALL road users' safety, not jus car drivers, start at the top.

No, it doesn't. It just features a cute girl cycling in what could perfectly be any city of the world. The music doesn't match Bogota cultural nature and the streets are a bunch of estrato 5 neighborhood

Absolutely agree. It continues to surprise me how many people think the solo ride is like a loner or antisocial thing. If they'd only take our word for it that we're WAY better fellow humans when we get our rides in!!! Biking can help solve all our human problems.
I've been riding solo for 3 years now and it feels so good. I don't need to hold my self for the others I just ride as hard as I could.
Its almost like a form of meditation. You're so into the moment. You kind of forget about other things but the road in front of you.
I ride with friends sometimes but riding solo has more thrill and like u said no unexpected breaks hahaha

As entertainment this is one of the best videos about fun in a bycicle in a very long long time! As a cyclist I think it is irresponsible to show her without a helmet, specially going into normal street traffic. I agree that she should be wearing a helmet. I ride a fixie myself, as well as road, mountain and tandem bikes, and wear a helmet on all of them. Wearing a helmet surely reduces the degree of head injury in an accident, and adults should teach children to wear bike helmets by example.
