I listened to the Billy Cotton Band Show on the radio as a child in the 1950s.
What a wonderful singer was Rose Perfect! Lovely
Great stuff love the 1930sand the 1920s bands really great bands great music
Wow, the first minute is really jumping. I can't get enough of Billy Cotton and his boys.
First time ever I've seen this group perform; terrific from the UK!
Brings back WONDERFUL MEMORIES of My Childhood and the WONDERFUL Mom i Had
Billy Cotton had a long-lived, nationwide, radio show back aways;...( wakey waaaay-kee! )...but his band was superb, as here with 'I'm Just Wild About Harry'.
Pure Magic. 🎶🎶🎶 What a fun band they all seem to be enjoying themselves.March 2023. Greetings from Sydney Australia. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Two guitars and two banjos, the rhythm section is really hot, tight, and most of SWINGING!
I'd forgotten that they were that good.
The dancers were great kickers!
Had to be in great physical shape to kick that high! Fantastic!
I love Britain
I had two Aunts who were in the Tiller Girls. In the Early 1940s ❤❤❤
Great band.
Wakey. Wakey
Look at that Line Dancing!
I'M SURE THE RISQUE BILLY COTTON WOULD INSPIRE BRITISH COMEDIAN BENNY HILL OVER 70 YEARS LATER.
I disagree about your comments that the dancing was dull. Far from it! It was complex and look at those high kicks! I enjoyed it.
It says filmed in slough. I wonder where this was and if the hall still exists.
I believe it is the Adelphi Theatre on Bath road, still in existence.
I’ve never heard of Rose Perfect. Is there any other record of her singing besides this video?
i cant find her, maybe it was a nickname?
Just looking in at a party that ended 90 years ago - Derbert Grady where are you?
another risqué song!
which of these is mr leonard whiteley
For those who can't figure out why the audience is laughing so hard, look at the accordionist's pants.
you don't say...!
