Sobhan was not ready to leave the 1st family and marry Jays and Jaya thought better to fulfill her political ambition. Both decided to part ways and continue as friends only as this relationship become hurdle for jaya's political ambition and there after it's known to public the way she become Amma for Tamilians.
So it's mutual understanding and their personal decisions. That's it.
