In DS9, her more physical and active role was justified by her background which was established in that very first iconic ep of the series. Her character was that of an aggressive and distrustful rebel, she was an active warrior before becoming settled as a top officer and major on DS9, a role she had to acclimate to due to her violent past, but she wasn't invincible; she had weaknesses and had to overcome many difficulties and obstacles on the show. I saw every episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine and I didn't even know that John Colicos played Kor but then again I thought the actor who played Kor sounded familiar as the same guy who betrayed the colonies to the Cylons on the original BattleStar Galactica and didn't he play the character on Star Trek the Original Series too I sure would like to know.
Yes. He originated the role. All three Klingon captains: Kang, Kor, and Koloth were in the original series, and reprised their roles on DS9. Ansara also reprised his role as Kang in an episode of Voyager with a Sulu/Tuvok flashback.
While flipping through the channels one evening I happened to find Nicole De Boer on a Canadian PI program. Her character was the mother of one of the characters. I always thought she was so cute. I didn't recognize her at first because of the different hairdo.
Got the wrong picture for Melanie Smith's Ziyal. Cyia Batten on the left played the first and younger version of Ziyal and Melanie Smith on the right played the third and final version. There was another actress who played Ziyal but she appeared in only one episode.
Garak / Andrew Robinson and Gul Dukat / Marc Alaimo are in my top 5 ever. Louise Fletcher, the most evil nurse of all time... And wtf, Aron Eisenberg died too early.
Love how they all unselfishly went to bat for each other constantly. Nothing like it. One observation was that all the main men characters of DS9 became in some way atrracted to Nerys. She seemed to always be about work. A good girl from a hard way of life. Cake seemed to be rare by-thoughts but it was definately under her rule. After buying the series and watching it over and over I see why. Men, ( married and single ) boys and male creatures alike. Great, great show with historical achievement written all over it.
He did rock that role. The man always saw the opportunity to play it large but not too much. He reminds me of Lee van Cleef. Dukat, never a dull moment
Louise Fletcher is the only actor ever to appear in any Star Trek series to win an Oscar. She won Best Actress for her performance as Nurse Ratchett in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
I assume someone else has pointed this out already but the year on the first majel barrett pic is obviously wrong as I assume its a pic from her in Star Trek in the 60s not in the 90s
Major Kira was such an amazing character.. Very relatable.. Well to me.. To us rly, as a nation since we did suffer occupations and we resisted and won but our bajor is still in termoil
You completely ignored accomplished actress, Salome Jens who portrayed the female shape shifter leader of the Dominion, and also actor JamesSloyan who portrayed Doctor Mora Pol, Odo’s mentor who was prominently featured in two pivotal episodes focused on the character of Odo. You need to redo this video and give both Jens and Sloyan their proper due!!!!

While flipping through the channels one evening I happened to find Nicole De Boer on a Canadian PI program. Her character was the mother of one of the characters. I always thought she was so cute. I didn't recognize her at first because of the different hairdo.
You've got John Colicos all wrong. No way he was born in 1953, when he played Kor in TOS he was much older than 14 years old.
Look at that neck on Marc Alaimo.. i bet when they saw that they figured they had to do something with that.
If the creator is still monitoring, John Colicos was born 10 Dec 1928, not 30 May 1953.
They really should do a final season of DS9 now like they did with Picard season 3
Got the wrong picture for Melanie Smith's Ziyal. Cyia Batten on the left played the first and younger version of Ziyal and Melanie Smith on the right played the third and final version. There was another actress who played Ziyal but she appeared in only one episode.
A DS9 movie is definitely in order. Give them a refreshed Defiant, and get going in the same way as ST Picard.
Still great to watch
Major Kira looking good!
Garak / Andrew Robinson and Gul Dukat / Marc Alaimo are in my top 5 ever.
Louise Fletcher, the most evil nurse of all time...
And wtf, Aron Eisenberg died too early.
Black apparently does not crack.
I always loved Kira. She's more beautiful now than ever
Grazie a tutti voi per avere inserito tra le vostre foto degli attori anche la foto della nostra " Comandante Samantha Cristoforetti " 🖖😁🇮🇹 🖖😁🖖😁
Thanks, that's interesting. Lots of mistakes though...
Mark Alaimo really does have an unfeasibly long neck😅
That was my thought too !😅😅
He did rock that role. The man always saw the opportunity to play it large but not too much. He reminds me of Lee van Cleef. Dukat, never a dull moment
Same with Hertzler and O'Reilly, Knew when to go big and pull back.
Found on a discarded Andorian fast food container: a picture of Morn with the caption "have you seen me?"
Louise Fletcher is the only actor ever to appear in any Star Trek series to win an Oscar. She won Best Actress for her performance as Nurse Ratchett in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
wow, did Nana have a lot of work done. She is unrecognizable
Terry still looks stunning 😍
I assume someone else has pointed this out already but the year on the first majel barrett pic is obviously wrong as I assume its a pic from her in Star Trek in the 60s not in the 90s
Major Kira was such an amazing character.. Very relatable.. Well to me.. To us rly, as a nation since we did suffer occupations and we resisted and won but our bajor is still in termoil
The show is 30 years old, so many of those great 50+ year old actors have simply died. Lovely to see them.
Not Quark though, Armin is plotting against them all.
Nicole dbeoer is still a cutie.
Jeffrey Coombs is exactly 10 years and one day older than me.
Fantastic chapter of str trek. If not the best very close to being there. Some episodes were exciting with twists and turns. Thanks for the show guys.
🫡From San Diego CA a million thanks for the great memories sincerely Jose Silva thanks.
I used to think nana visitor was the actress on shining time Station.
The partially obscured woman next to Nana Visitor is a real life astronaut - ESA's Samantha Cristoforetti !
I'm a bit surprised by Melanie Smith being 35 during her run on the show. She was playing a 17 year old.
And Cecily Adams playing an old Ferengi woman, much older than Cecily herself ever reached.
Relax, it's not an official document. He needs to do nothing. Maybe ask it a little nicer.
Casey Biggs could play Dr Boyce in Strange New Worlds.
Avery aged well. If he were to reprise his role as a few years after the war, I would believe it.
Molly is cute now
She was cute as a child and remained cute.
Nana is fing beautiful with grey hair
Worf looks great in Picard season 3. 😅
Damn, Gul Dukat really had all that neck
Jeffrey Combs is like a prince in scifi and horror.
I could walk by Worf and would not have a clue it was him.
