I have a theory, we were controlled and was forced to betray the ones we loved. We tired to fight it but couldn’t. We end up embodied the “kid” after Chris killed us.
I actually had a similar theory that we were being controlled but more... psychologically like we were being emotional manipulated by the syndicate (manly Hades) into becoming a villain and even killing all those heroes at the conference. But with regards to the "embodying the new listener" theory pebbles already debunked that one however I do believe that we could be biologically related to hypnos in some way
Gonna go prepare for this one cause its gonna be chaotic one (checks list: food, drinks, headphones, first aid and a ton of tissues just incase for crying)
Random theory: The old Listener was a clone of the real one, the other, locked away in isolation with their eyes taken away to prevent them from taking control of them. Never to be saved, never to be heard from.
The idea of the real listener being blinded and in a cell somewhere is terrifying (in a good way). Though for the last 20 years someone has to have been keeping them alive, either that or they escaped and are somewhere else now
After rewatching this for the release of part 3, I see all these people with theories like ‘the first listener must be mind controlled themselves’ but I think we need to accept that they might just be a bad person. That no matter their backstory, they have willingly joined the villains and killed many people. I know it’s weird to think about because we see this from their perspective, but remember that the main listener shows up years after Hypnoss has been killed (whether they’re actually dead or not). Accept that they’re an evil little scrimblo my dudes.
Bro the betrayal was so heart breaking but at the same time I was low-key channeling my inner villain so I was just giggling and making meme references the entire time he was trying not to murder us💀💀💀 Lowkey tho I really want to know why Hypnos became a villain like what led to such a dramatic shift. I hope we find out!
Honestly the first thing i can think is one= being controlled by something or someone Two= i myself am not a very good fan of any type of "higher power" the governments are not saints and we know it
Just forming a story in my head: Hypnos must have come to realize how fragile support for the heroes truly was. No one with that much passion and love turns villain on a lark. I can't imagine them destroying everything like this for money or power. They MUST have realized they did something to Flashpoint or both of them that caused them to want to destroy the entire system. Maybe even as a way to save Flashpoint in a backward way.
Alrighty going to explain the episode for anyone who had any questions: SPOILER WARNING! Essentially, you have spent the last 2 episodes watching from Hypnos' point of view purely to establish the backstory of this world. The real story starts 20 years later once heroes are outlawed. The new listener is a young inhuman who wants to become a superhero. However, superheroes are illegal, and the DIA (Department of Inhuman Affairs) are a government institution that is tasked with finding and arresting young inhumans using their powers in public. The listener is in no way related to Hypnos, so unfortunately, it is not a reincarnation as some people said. And because of this, they have never met Flashpoint before - who is now a bitter old man hiding from the DIA with his best friend and fellow A List hero Sunspot. Neither have spoken about what happened with Hypnos in the prison cell, but Sunspot had wondered what "remember who you are" means... And now they have met the listener!
you have summoned me anime quote of today "I used to get so stressed about how other people saw me. I always second-guessed myself. But then Koro Sensei made me realize: It’s all about doing the best with what you have. Being true to the person you are on the inside.” ~ Kanzaki Yukiko (assassination classroom)
my little mini theory regarding Hypnos is that they were being controlled by something/someone with whatever was controlling them used Hypnos’ capturing as a bit of a distraction to get the final pieces in place for the mass control/murders. I’m also guessing that Hypnos was picked because they would be the perfect scapegoat and would be a manipulative tactic (idk how to explain this part ;-;), perhaps the controller wanted to destroy what faith in heroes people had and to do this, they knew they had to get a last murder in, which means they used they wanted Hypnos to get killed by Flashpoint. Knowing all the panic and chaos it would cause okay this explanation isn’t the best but wanted to put it out there ;-;
I think brainwashing hypnos would be the reason for them joining, just constantly being threatened by a person in a dark room with a blindfold would most likely work if hypnos was easy to manipulate. The person with the power to hypnotize anybody at a single glance being brainwashed by their own picture would be very ironic
Listener and Christopher reminds me of the Darth Vader and Obi Wan scenario. Christopher believes Listener can still be saved from villainy whilst others see them as a lost cause. It’d be interesting too see Hypnos show up later, somehow surviving what happened too them.
Holy SMOKES this is on another level. Spoilers: Starting off with a different, villian listener and then jumping 20 years was so cool! You really use this format of storytelling to your advantage within the story itself, if that makes sense. So very, very well done
@@PebblesASMR is this the lore to the adult *flash point* cuz I watched an other one of him and I just realized this shit so is this a backstory type shit ?
Somethings that confused me a bit is Hypno saying "remember who you were." What exactly did that mean? Maybe the government used they're powers to change who they actually were and they decided they were no longer going to be used like that?
My theory is something similar, I think that Hypno made Flashpoint forget something due to how it was affecting them, perhaps something traumatizing and for some reason (still thinking) the Hadian(sp?) Syndicate found out and managed to convince Hypno or perhaps reveal that the Heroes/those in charge of Heroes were at fault, perhaps in an attempt to get the very powerful Flashpoint who, at the time, had very little control, to be more dependent on them and/or more loyal to the cause. The Hadian Syndicate were perhaps not the villains (or they were but were pretending otherwise) and managed to get Hypno on their side, to “see the truth” and Hypno attempted to get their hero friends to see that, hey, the Hadian Syndicate kinda has a point if you strip away all the illegal and violent things they’ve done. But they were disregarded on sheer principal, because the Hadian Syndicate are villains and therefore always in the wrong or some other similar propaganda was so prevalent that not even their closest friend, Christopher (Flashpoint), would even attempt to see the Hadian Syndicate as anything other than morally, ethically and just flat out *wrong* . And yeah, I can see why the heroes would do that; if you have a generation of young, impressionable, unexperienced heroes firmly believing that villains can be good, they can and will be taken advantage of. That would probably explain Flashpoint’s perspective of my best friend suddenly turned on everything they knew and loved, because to him, it probably was out of the blue; he didn’t see the signs because they didn’t register to him as signs, he probably just through they were overthinking things. So, by this logic, Hypno knows their livelihood is rotten and built on lies and they do what they can to make up for it, eventually getting in over their head and being fully inducted into the Hadian Syndicate as a reward for their incredibly foresight and planning. And by the time they realize that they’re in too deep, they have nowhere else to go. If they stay, they’ll be hunted down by their friends because they are a apart of the Hadian Syndicate but if they leave, then both the Heroes and the Hadian Syndicated will be after them. Hypnos didn’t have to get themselves killed by Flashpoint, Flashpoint was fully prepared to walk away and leave Hypnos to rot in jail, but Hypnos pulled an Itachi and had Flashpoint kill then, out of guilt? Wow, this got long. I ended up kinda rambling and this is just my personal head canon based on the scenarios playing out in my head. 👍
I can imagine the new hero listener looking the villain listener now but like Imagine this: You kill the person your dead partner used to be and 20 years later some kid rocks up looking just like them and you start to train the drama that would start but i feel like If our new listener looked like the dead listener Christopher would train them to be the villain listener was before they became a shell of who they were before they were to far gone to be saved THE DRAMA THO- Edit: small ideas that came to my mind what if the whole event before the timeskip was a memory, dream or nightmare playing in Christopher's head What if the part where he hears "Remember" isn't us but something or someone trying to get him to remember that his partner is still in there begging him to remember that they're not dead but trapped I might be looking into this way too much-
My theory is that when Hypnos was a superhero, they knew something was going on with the Heroe's association maybe the government through the association were using them (heroes) as deterrent (similar to the nuclear bomb) to prevent heroes from other countries to come inside their territory. The government may also had ties with the Syndicate. Since Hypnos was aware of this, they made the decision of hiding the truth from their fellow heroes and decided to impart them with the ideals a hero represents. But the association did something to the core heroes changing their personality including Chris. Hypnos tried to stop it but they were under suspicion thus they decided to join the Syndicate (or they were contacted by the Syndicate themselves) and they had no choice other than becoming a villain to have the chance of rescuing Chris.
Several clues lead me to believe this: Charon, who has the ability to manipulate the dead manages to find a steady supply of corpses for their clients without the government knowing ? When we know they are advanced enough to have Biotechnology ? This is sus. Then we have the GHC itself, well rather the notion of heroes going in and out of the countries unsupervised to catch the Syndicate for example. In fact, it's the Syndicate's existence, running to other countries that sparked this very idea. However as mentioned in my previous comment, I suspect that governments over the world are profiting from the Syndicate operations and if they are allowed to be caught, the whole truth would cause chaos. Thus the need to prevent a favorable outcome at the end of the GHC. What they didn't expect maybe is that Hypnos would kill the head honchos maybe to send a message to future leaders to avoid corruption. But this backfired 20 years later we learn that an agency takes custody of the inhuman, giving the government ample margin to brainwash them and maybe a stream of new members for the Syndicate.
Hypnos hearing what transpired of their plan hypothesized the previous outcome decided to lift Chris' "brainwash" in hope that the ideas and conviction they imparted on him would allow a new future for the Heroes
hi pebbles! i love your series they’re just such good stories and then the accent is just a bonus! hope everything’s doing well in your life cause you sure do make mine a whole lot better :D
Hero boi: "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" Me: "The only thing I did while putting so many efforts was to get up from bed in the morning-" Dude, my first thought when I saw him was "DAVID?! IS THAT YOU?!" and then I remembered the series ended and I lied down and tried not to cry and then cried alot XD nooooooo why???? Why we betrayed himmmm?? Noooooo- I will never forgive myself if he gets hurt in process ;-; thank you for your hard work Pebbs!! Stay hydrated dude~
I’m a villain. What did you expect!? “Oh tip tip! Tally-ho! Let’s have a nice sit down with some tea and crumpets and talk about our feelings!?” Did you honestly expect me to turn the other cheek? Flip over a new leaf? As in the words of Lord Vader: th-cam.com/video/Uk8ObGtaP_c/w-d-xo.html
GAAAAH THE PART WHERE HE SHOT HYPNOS?? LOVED IT. perfect build up, perfect moment, perfect aftershock, replayed it about 10 times just to hear it again. everyone did so good!!!! can't wait for the next part!!!!
I haven't been this excited about a series since the David story finished (the ending I still cry over) I am super excited!!!!!!! Edit: IM HERE IM LATE BUT IM HERE LIKE TWO HOURS LATE BUT STILL Edit 2: im crying :'( omg the amount of tears shed at these audios honestly idk how you do it. Round of applause for Pebbles 👏👏👏👏👏
Post Premiere edit: OH MY- I WAS VERY WRONG?! THAT IS SUCH A GUT PUNCH MY GOD okay first what an *interesting* twist, killing off the first listener character to make ANOTHER listener character? a very new but intriguing spin that i am more than eager for second of all, more theories! I want to head canon that this kid is the kid of Hypnos or at least knows of hypnos and displays very similar attributes to whoever we were as Hypnos, this makes Chris go on a bit of a spiral where there arises a new need for heros as things go out of whack and "regular humans" can't control the situation where Chris sacrifices himself for whoever our new POV is from! I'm so excited for this series, dare I say it, more than the Silus one (I still cling to David tho), bravo Pebble, bravo. (before premiere) Oh boy prepare for me to go on a theory rant and gushing rant AHHHHH OKAY FIRST OF ALL SEEING THE COLLAB STACK UP WITH FAMILIAR AND NEW FACES ALREADY HAS ME EXCITED "And as the chairman begins his opening speech, nobody expected the pessimists were about to be proved right..." I've read so much 'the "good guys" aren't so good' media tropes, some are incredible, some are bad, but hearing the first episode already makes me KNOW that this is a good take on the trope. Oooh boy okay lets go on a little tangent. First of all we know that some of the super heroes are up to no good and I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be a 'The Boys' type situation where the strongest hero probably has a god complex and needs a hard ego check. I mean Flashpoint did mention y/n said that letting heros do their own thing without government restrictions would be great, but that was long before they became a villain. Being a prodigy and destined to become great comes at a price and the syndicate must have an agenda that heavily resonates with y/n, perhaps something like... oh I don't know, exposing the true intentions of the hero agency by committing low to mid level crimes on a scale that would catch enough attention to perhaps, get the best of the best hooked on. Second of all I just thought about this completely on a whim, but what if the other villains were ex-hero members?
Oh, I wasn't ready for that twist hahahah Honestly, I can't stop wondering what that "remember who you are" really meant. Aaaand.... PLEASE, GIVE US A HAPPY ENDING THIS TIME! hahaha
@@PebblesASMR _OOOOHHHH YEEEAAAHHH!!!!_ :3. Hey Pebbles, ya know what I personally call an ASMR story series as good as this one? _This is some next level Infinity War-type of shit here._ :3.
Honestly I feel like Hypnos was forced to go really deep undercover only to be corrupted/they learned the truth about the reality of the situation and how the heroes would be getting way too much power. Flashpoint gonna feel real guilty if that turns out to be the case
I can't help but imagine their first relationship Being something like listener having goleen retriver energy and Cris and Old tired cat. Something just like Connor and Hank or Peter and Miles vibes
So uh new viewer here, really excited for this series now that I've finished the Silus series! Can't wait to hear this one! Edit:Damn live chat was REALLY excited for this premiere 😥
You always see the heroes running everywhere. Have you ever seen a villain do so? Of course not. We saunter with style. Villainy suits me far better, darling. First the heros association. Then my "fellow" syndicate members. The world will be mine and mine alone. I can already hold it with both hands, see? *Holds Flashpoint's face*
I am really hung up in Hypnos's last line/command: "Remember who you are", because what does it mean? Like, the only thing I can imagine right now is that Hypnos hypnotized Flashpoint to be a "better hero", and that's why he sounds so dishearted in the end (along with all that happended) or it could be something more? Pebble, don't think I ever said it, but you are an amazing writer/storyteller, so I can't wait to see what more you have for this series in the future, I am suuuuuuuper curious!!!
This was really interesting and cool! And I have so many questions!! - What was Hypno's motive for what they did? Will the new listener help reveal that? - Are some of the other villains still out there? Maybe the mysterious leader will show up and the new hero will help fight it? - What did Hypnos exactly mean by "remember who you are"? Is the past not so black and white? It's been made clear that the listener thaught a lot of stuff to Chris, is there a darker reason why he had to learn those things in the first place? Your stories are always great Pebbels, they bring a lot of joy and material for my imagination even after days of listening the audio. Keep doing what you do!
Holy cannoli, what a ride!! This is on a whole other level, for sure. So, the thing went about as well as we all thought it would. But what was Hypnos trying to make him remember? How does the kid factor into this?! I can't wait!!
Thank you for the premiere Pebble, I'm glad I was able to be there for it. I hope that the next video will be here soon. As always you did a fantastic job in your work. 👏👏👏
not me being rlly happy this is gonna come out two days before my birthday 💀 ALSO WAS I RIGHT??? IS THIS ACTUALLY TURNING INTO A SERIES?? IM HELLA EXCITED AHSJDKF
Literally just finished the premiere and all I have to say is wow. I did not expect that at all, I'm still a little bit confused but that is understandable. Great job Pebbles!
Ohhhh you know what would be cool? If the spirit of the first listener sometimes comes and sit in the corner of like the training that Chris is giving to the new listener. But like the old listener is not Hypnos but the person they were before they turned into a villain. They sometimes make comments on the technique that Chris uses to train the new kid. But only Chris himself can see and hear them and it slowly drives him insane. After some time he complains to it too Anna and turns out she also sees the old listener from time to time! Maybe like some kind of ptsd or maybe listener partly mind controlled the two of them into seeing them!
Listener and Christopher reminds me of the Darth Vader and Obi Wan kind of scenario. Christopher believes that there’s still good in Listener and thinks they can be saved by whatever turned them too villainy whilst others believe they are a lost cause.
AAAANNNNDDDD HERE WE AAARRRREEEE, PebblesASMR : Return of the Legend BRINGS HOME ANOTHER BANGER OF AN AUDIO DRAMA!!! *im so fcking hyped IF ANYONE KNOWS ME, THE NEXT THING I LOVE THE MOST NEXT TO SPACE TROPES IS HERO-VILLAIN TROPES*
That. Was. Awesome!!! The plot twist. Just everything about it was amazing!!! The anticipation of every little sound i hear. What's happening. What's about to happen. Did we just die?! Oh heck, then what?! Really?! God, i loved every bit of it!!!! Thank you so much pebbles for this. I've been checking every single week for this episode and now it's out and the wait was worth it!!! I'm guessing they would be like the old grumpy man who's too stubborn to teach and the overly eager too excited to learn kid tandem ...hahahah Loved loved loved it!!!! Can't wait for the next one!!! One question though... And sorry, my mind didn't catch up with it but... Are we really dead?? Like... Not breathing... Lifeless body... Not moving ever... An everlasting corpse dead???
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the audio 😋 To answer your question - Hypnos as you know them are dead, you will now only be viewing from the point of the young inhuman we meet 20 years later!
i don’t know who’s going to read this because it’s like 2 years later but like i really want a series about hypnosis like how they were in the hero academy because how chris talks about them they were a good hero trainee and hero meaning not only that they were good but possibly popular as he mentions looking up to them and i kind of associate them with regina george and heather chandler but nicer as well as a bitchy side i also want to believe that in the academy chris had a crush on them. for a character description i see them with either light or dark brown hair and freckles with scars and when using their powers they’re eyes have a green glow that almost leaves a trail as they walk but have glasses they wear sometimes so they don’t accidentally controls someone in public when they were a hero i also want to believe that they had something about them that allowed them to bring themselves back to life and the kid at the end is actually their child and hypnos sent the kid to chris’s apartment to try and connect with him again. pretty please tell me your thoughts on this 💔
Okay so theory time. Spoilers below. The new hero and Hypno have to be connected in some way. I'm thinking about this from a writer's stand point. Pebbles could have easily made Hypno a voice character with their own lines and motivations. He did it for Sunspot and some of the other heroes so... why put us in Hypno's POV, kill us off, then put us in the POV of a new blossoming hero looking for Flashpoint's guidance? My best guess is the two are connected somehow. All and all one of your best videos yet, Pebbles!! Eger how to see how this story turns out!! Edit: One more thing place your bets on Hypno being alive people. This is a super hero story, villains always find a way of not really being dead.
Finally! I have found some alone time after being stressed out for this week. Listening to your stuff always needs extra time for me, cause I love it but also, it gets me worked up. This time was no different, I love it, great work. Hehe, Hypnos is at it again... Damn, that opening was CA:Civil War all over again. And btw those names didn't help to not remind me of it. Don't worry, I like it! It's just that these people who're opposing heroes get so much on my nerves by just existing. I mean, I don't get them or their goals. I get the fear of good turning bad, but other than that? What is the goal by shutting heroes down (or controlling them)? It won't make the villains magically dissapear, or reduce their number, or stopping them from not playing by the rules. And humans can't possibly fight such enhanced villains. I'm not gonna start on Renner's words, or I'm just gonna kill her, like I already wanted to first time listening. But the words of the chairman were interesting: "Heroes have proven to be an undeniable source of good in this world. However, this new age of strength has brought with it its share of evil." Oh really? Is it really that surprising that with good comes evil? Come on, we have humans, money, technology, medicine (side effects, poison). Even food is bound to be bad for you at some point (eating too much, becoming allergic,...). So, I'm wondering how anybody can be this dumb to not know to take precaution when something new is invented? It's bound to have bad side effects, as world history has told us, over and over again. 6:41 Here we go, he's acting on his emotions again. Apparently he's also slow (7:57). And they were supposed to be best friends and partners? If he knew all that stuff about Hypnos, then why didn't he think of it sooner? The 'love of planning ahead' part. Then again, shouldn't everyone - villains as well as heroes - do that? Planning ahead, thinking of all the things that could go wrong and be prepared for that? And not being stupid actually should be a precondition for these occupations, don't you think? That being said, the GHC-downfall is totally on you and your fellows, Flashpoint. Don't take it out on Hypnos who just did his/her job as a villain! I like Stonehaven's point that "despite [their] powers [they're] not above the law. Heroes choose to be better[...]" I really love this. It's just so sad, that you can't apply it onto every situation. At some point, they will have to break it. Doesn't mean they still aren't better. 11:49 "Your life is over." 12:54 "Yep, now it is. Thank you old friend, I had fun!", is what I imagined, Hypnos would think. 11:58 Villains gotta do villainies! Thank you, Pebbles! First villain for me, who's staying true to his bad side. My guess on the 'remember who you are' part: Chris/ Flashpoint actually was a bad guy in the past before he got to know Hypnos and joined the heroes. And Hypnos was trying to get this part of him to kill him/her. To make him lose himself a bit. Of course, it could also be that Hypnos wanted him to remember to always stay true to his hero inside - but that would mean that Hypnos had been under control by the villains and was actually trying to save humanity by his/her own sacrifice, and I don't want that to be true! I'm kinda dissapointed, that you didn't show us more of Flashpoint's downfall after killing Hypnos. I mean, at 11:15 he said "Heroes don't kill" and it's a rule he lived by and believed in. And now he's broken it. Killing under hypnosis, killing your old friend, who's also your enemy... that's a lot of psychological stress, I imagine. And I would have liked to see Chris work through this. But I liked the '20-years-later' part as well, espescially his drinking habit and dry humour. Anna's responses were great, too. I like her character and how she's handling him. 18:42 First lesson for a future hero: To always be on time. Really? That's the first thing you wanted to teach this kid? Yeah, if I were that kid, I would have declined on the spot. You wouldn't learn nothing with this depressing old man. As far as I noticed, heroes get to help AFTER they heard about an incident, which is either still ongoing or already over. If they would really arrive on time, shouldn't they have catched many more villains? And shouldn't the first lesson have been: Don't trust anyone? I mean, that was Chris' breaking point. Why is he ignoring his own lessons! I'm really looking forward to the next part. Chris teaching another person to be a hero. That's gonna be funny. (I'm imagining him to act like Logan's/ Wolverine's first encounters with the teenage mutants in X-Men2 and also his teaching methods in the X-Men Evolutions series.)
Don’t mind Christopher guys, he’s just in his Jim Hopper era Edit: So basically I’m re listening to this as I’m cleaning my room and I got a sudden thought. Since The listener isn’t a reincarnated version of Hypnos. What if Hypnos is a sort of ghostly guardian for the listener? Being made to do this as punishment for betrayal or some shit. Idk bye y’all 🏃
I watched this when it premiered, but I have to drop back in and comment because this video is haunting me ceaselessly. The story so far is absolutely gripping and I need to know what happens! Everything that went down with Hypnos makes my skin crawl and I need a happy ending. 🥺
Okay so I just found your channel today and oh my gosh. Your characters are amazing, your voice is also amazing, I love how you portray each one, I just binged watched a few videos and ahh. You are amazing, I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE. TURN IT UP! (Also fuckkkk noooo I didn't wanna betray himmm) (Edit: second time listening and I just saw the pebbles asmr thing of the fall of the titan- 0.0)
I usually listen to your audios before I go to sleep and relisten to them in the morning if I fall asleep in the middle of them. Well this time I saw a dream that the villains were part of the heroes associate and were a secret division for the power hungry top people for some evil plans and using the hero thing as a front. But when I relisten to this in the morning my mind was blown. I think you’ve out-done yourself with this plot :D I do wish though that this one has a happy ending… Anyway, amazing job as always!
Quick theory cuz I’m hoping this series returns after a year what if the hero group thingy was trying to get more control bc there evil or something and would use it to work undercover for evil plan and hypnosis knew that and was working against it???????
Oof, what an opening! I can't blame Flashpoint for being so angry, not at all. Heh, getting drawn back in, even after everything, this is going to be hilarious and awesome. Brilliant job, Pebble!
My theory is, the leader of the evil, who I think the code name was Hades, his power is to be able to absorb other powers. He took the listeners power after capturing them and controlled them to betray everyone.
Wow this story was gotten really interesting… I hope hypnosis didn’t do all that intentionally and was instead controlled by someone else to do that. Also I hope there is going to be more to this story. Voice acting was great and the drawings for the character look good. There was a lot of emotion. This asmr series deserves a 10/10. Have a nice day. 😄
Whoaa killing hypnos was such a plot twist! It must take a lot of work to come up with a story like this. Its hard to find plot driven asmrs here. Even the voice acting and sound effects are 100/10! Better than most netflix shows. Im totaly going to miss Hypnos tho, I loved the character, I hope they will come back in some form or another... And maybe hades and the council members too! (Maybe Hades could have some ressurecting power of some sort and bring hypnos back) Im excited for the next audio with this one! Maybe ill make a short animation out of this later. Btw keep up the good work! You are the best asmr channel out there. ❤️
But with regards to the "embodying the new listener" theory pebbles already debunked that one however I do believe that we could be biologically related to hypnos in some way
DAYUM THATS A GOOD THEORY, I hope it's true
@PebblesASMR But that was our twin that he killed and we were in a cell the hole time
That would be a good theory because I really hope that hypnosis wasn’t actually wanting this to happen…
@@Siredonlota GURL NAH THAT WOULD BE SO GOOD
Pebbles after being traumatized by the last series you better give us a happy ending. We are still trying to recover
My heart dropped when he called us Hypnos.
Like, I knew he'd be angry but damn mate... that hurt.
I love how Hypnos's just like : "Just killed the conference, feeling good!" Till the very end.
Though for the last 20 years someone has to have been keeping them alive, either that or they escaped and are somewhere else now
ngl i want that to happen at some point
After rewatching this for the release of part 3, I see all these people with theories like ‘the first listener must be mind controlled themselves’ but I think we need to accept that they might just be a bad person.
That no matter their backstory, they have willingly joined the villains and killed many people. I know it’s weird to think about because we see this from their perspective, but remember that the main listener shows up years after Hypnoss has been killed (whether they’re actually dead or not).
Accept that they’re an evil little scrimblo my dudes.
i honestly love being evil 🥰
Yeah please just let me be evil
Hehehehe
Bro the betrayal was so heart breaking but at the same time I was low-key channeling my inner villain so I was just giggling and making meme references the entire time he was trying not to murder us💀💀💀
Lowkey tho I really want to know why Hypnos became a villain like what led to such a dramatic shift. I hope we find out!
Honestly the first thing i can think is one= being controlled by something or someone
Two= i myself am not a very good fan of any type of "higher power" the governments are not saints and we know it
Just forming a story in my head:
Hypnos must have come to realize how fragile support for the heroes truly was. No one with that much passion and love turns villain on a lark.
I can't imagine them destroying everything like this for money or power.
They MUST have realized they did something to Flashpoint or both of them that caused them to want to destroy the entire system. Maybe even as a way to save Flashpoint in a backward way.
Maybe thare was something wrong with the Hero's System? And the villains did something to the hero? We need more!
Alrighty going to explain the episode for anyone who had any questions:
SPOILER WARNING!

"I used to get so stressed about how other people saw me. I always second-guessed myself. But then Koro Sensei made me realize: It’s all about doing the best with what you have. Being true to the person you are on the inside.”

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!”
Me: [Wanting to give a serious answer]
Also me: YOUR MOM!
But seriously, great audio! Love a good bit of drama
I'm so excited and happy to be a part of this! I can't wait for what happens next!!! ^u^
Glad to have you here Obsidian! We're going to be in for quite a ride :D
I knew your voice obsidian!! I was happy to hear it with pebbles
my little mini theory regarding Hypnos is that they were being controlled by something/someone with whatever was controlling them used Hypnos’ capturing as a bit of a distraction to get the final pieces in place for the mass control/murders.
I’m also guessing that Hypnos was picked because they would be the perfect scapegoat and would be a manipulative tactic (idk how to explain this part ;-;), perhaps the controller wanted to destroy what faith in heroes people had and to do this, they knew they had to get a last murder in, which means they used they wanted Hypnos to get killed by Flashpoint. Knowing all the panic and chaos it would cause
okay this explanation isn’t the best but wanted to put it out there ;-;
AMAZING THEORY! Lets see if it's correct :D
God, please let this theory be true 🥺❤️
It might be Hades for all we know... ;]
Spoilers:
Starting off with a different, villian listener and then jumping 20 years was so cool! You really use this format of storytelling to your advantage within the story itself, if that makes sense.
So very, very well done
Thank you so much! 😊
Agreed, this was very well done and was probably the best damn audio I’ve listened to.
@@PebblesASMR
is this the lore to the adult *flash point*
cuz I watched an other one of him and I just realized this shit so is this a backstory type shit ?
@COFFEBEAN-mg5vf yep the first 2 episodes were Flashpoints backstory 😁
@@PebblesASMR thank you for confirming my statement pebble 😁
I like to think that right after Chris blasts our brains out, there's a single tear rolling down our cheek...
I was not excepting that plot twist!
I really thought the listener died for a second lol
Hope your having a good day/night!
Sorry in advance for the betrayal 😔
Yes 😶
Grumpy old teacher who used to be “one of the greats” is my favorite trope ever, this is amazing dude😂
And this confirms once again that Pebbles is the best
Yess
I can imagine the new hero listener looking the villain listener now but like
Imagine this:
You kill the person your dead partner used to be and 20 years later some kid rocks up looking just like them and you start to train the drama that would start but i feel like If our new listener looked like the dead listener Christopher would train them to be the villain listener was before they became a shell of who they were before they were to far gone to be saved THE DRAMA THO-
Edit: small ideas that came to my mind what if the whole event before the timeskip was a memory, dream or nightmare playing in Christopher's head
What if the part where he hears "Remember" isn't us but something or someone trying to get him to remember that his partner is still in there begging him to remember that they're not dead but trapped
I might be looking into this way too much-
Wait, we're gonna betray him!?
*faints dramatically*
Listening to this...
WAS LIKE A MOVIE,AND I LOVE IT-
My theory is that when Hypnos was a superhero, they knew something was going on with the Heroe's association maybe the government through the association were using them (heroes) as deterrent (similar to the nuclear bomb) to prevent heroes from other countries to come inside their territory.
Several clues lead me to believe this:
Charon, who has the ability to manipulate the dead manages to find a steady supply of corpses for their clients without the government knowing ?
An interesting theory, let's see if it's correct! Great work 😁
I am so sorry, I never wanted to betray you! A tiny rock that does asmr made me do it!
I'm in the middle of vacation right now, this will probably make me bawl my eyes out, but it's worth it.

Post Premiere edit:
OH MY- I WAS VERY WRONG?! THAT IS SUCH A GUT PUNCH MY GOD
okay first what an *interesting* twist, killing off the first listener character to make ANOTHER listener character? a very new but intriguing spin that i am more than eager for
second of all, more theories!
(before premiere)
Oh boy prepare for me to go on a theory rant and gushing rant
AHHHHH OKAY FIRST OF ALL SEEING THE COLLAB STACK UP WITH FAMILIAR AND NEW FACES ALREADY HAS ME EXCITED
"And as the chairman begins his opening speech, nobody expected the pessimists were about to be proved right..."
I've read so much 'the "good guys" aren't so good' media tropes, some are incredible, some are bad, but hearing the first episode already makes me KNOW that this is a good take on the trope.
This, I can agree on
unironically gasping for air at the collab stackup
an interesting theory, lets see if you're right! :D
@@PebblesASMR I am diligent to stay up till 3AM to watch this premiere but I havent finished mah theories yet :')

Something just like Connor and Hank or Peter and Miles vibes

pebbles i swear to god if they dont get a happy ending im gonna cry for eons
Absolutely excited for this!!

Y’all got me excited my theories are bubbling 😈😈😈
Imagen villain listener comes back and surprise everyone that they're not dead and they're now much stronger ever
Urgh! Why can't my much break come faster! I'm super excited for this one!

Can't wait for the next part!
Literally just finished the premiere and all I have to say is wow. I did not expect that at all, I'm still a little bit confused but that is understandable. Great job Pebbles!
This is going to be amazing
Christopher believes that there’s still good in Listener and thinks they can be saved by whatever turned them too villainy whilst others believe they are a lost cause.
wow that was amazing i hope a part 3 is in the making. Keep up the good work Pebbles

One question though... And sorry, my mind didn't catch up with it but... Are we really dead?? Like... Not breathing... Lifeless body... Not moving ever... An everlasting corpse dead???
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the audio 😋
To answer your question - Hypnos as you know them are dead, you will now only be viewing from the point of the young inhuman we meet 20 years later!
i don’t know who’s going to read this because it’s like 2 years later but like i really want a series about hypnosis like how they were in the hero academy because how chris talks about them they were a good hero trainee and hero meaning not only that they were good but possibly popular as he mentions looking up to them and i kind of associate them with regina george and heather chandler but nicer as well as a bitchy side i also want to believe that in the academy chris had a crush on them. for a character description i see them with either light or dark brown hair and freckles with scars and when using their powers they’re eyes have a green glow that almost leaves a trail as they walk but have glasses they wear sometimes so they don’t accidentally controls someone in public when they were a hero i also want to believe that they had something about them that allowed them to bring themselves back to life and the kid at the end is actually their child and hypnos sent the kid to chris’s apartment to try and connect with him again. pretty please tell me your thoughts on this 💔
I KNEW WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET CAUGHT!
This would be an AMAZING show!
Honestly if I had the opportunity to make it I show I 100% would
Ughhhh this is gonna be hard and chaotic. Probably gonna cry 😭👌
I have to admit this got a serious emotional reaction from me. I had to listen to it in pieces because it was so powerful
Ayeeee I LOVE RED RIOT KIRI❤️
Edit: oh this series is abt to be dope asf omggg 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
11:49 "Your life is over."
12:54 "Yep, now it is.
Don’t mind Christopher guys, he’s just in his Jim Hopper era
Edit:
So basically I’m re listening to this as I’m cleaning my room and I got a sudden thought. Since The listener isn’t a reincarnated version of Hypnos. What if Hypnos is a sort of ghostly guardian for the listener? Being made to do this as punishment for betrayal or some shit.
Idk bye y’all 🏃

I _REALLY_ can't wait for the next video in this series, Pebs!!! :3. I hope we can get the next part soon!! :3.
Oh hell yeah I'm so excited for this series
We need a redemption ark after this
Oof, what an opening!
