(Jokes aside, I’m all for Shining tearing down the corrupt system and for Green learning to fight for his own beliefs. Wooo character growth!)

hero, you are deep voiced mummy’s boy who was raised on inaccurate morals. Villian, your only drive is by revenge and you would drive me into the same state of mind.
If I had to choice, I would chose villain. He seems more trustworthy and perhaps I could act a little plot of revenge
For the listeners powers I think it will activate with stress like a mutant same as the X-Men

I would most definitely choose the villain, 1 because I can’t trust the hero to hurt me again since he trusted a.. what ever is running facilities, 2 I just really like villains. Also kinda bad to receive help from someone working under a facility even if he quitted now it’s just the facility might immediately know and track us down and just find us. The villain probably has a place that the facility doesn’t know and they won’t find us immediately. This hero has no plan, and just blindly trust people!

Gotta explain something though, as I'd also not want to hurt more people. I'd go with Villain still because I don't think Hero really understands the situation. If the government caught up, it likely wouldn't take long for him to be convinced that Villain was lying. He hasn't seen any proof to disprove the government other than our story and someone he thinks of as evil. He's been raised to be subservient to the government. We also have to consider the first part of the audio and what presumably Hero was saying. He knew we had to "reach a breaking point" of pain to activate our powers.
It also doesn't sound like we've actually awakened our powers, ao we wouldn't be much use to Villain as anything but another testimony of the horrors.

After being in a situation as horrible as the one described why should we spend any more time or effort towards revenge or give them the satisfaction of doing what they want us to do with the powers we never even asked for. Y’know, all of y’all are going for the villain, but the hero’s offer of finding out who we truly are once and for all is really tempting.
Also I’m less likely to die if I go with the hero, I think the villain would just forget about me (plus he doesn’t seem like the type to hunt me down); the hero literally said he would kill me if I joined the wrong side.
