- From the mysteries of neural networks to understanding the basics of brain function, let’s explore the fundamental concepts of neuroscience in an accessible and engaging manner for beginners.
About the Speaker:
Mriganka Sur is the Newton Professor of Neuroscience and Director of the Simons Center for the Social Brain at MIT. Earlier, he was chairman of the department of neurosciences at MIT. His research interest is in the cerebral cortex, circuits, plasticity, dynamics, and brain disorders.
This session will be moderated by Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
That teenager that who asked the three questions (and consistently asks intelligent questions in your various streams) is a gem at such a young age, and I hope he goes on to do great things for your country. I hope Pakistan finds it in itself to encourage curiosity and critical thinking minds like his to thrive.
The world is a safer place and worth living because of the kids like him. I hope he succeeds in his life either while being in Pakistan or any other part of the world.
I am in class 11 and we are studying about brain in our school and u cleared my all douts about brain Na+ and K+ explanation was great
This is a guru in true sense! What a humble man and an excellent teacher!
Wonderful presentation Dr. Mriganka. A profound scientist explaining the most complex thing with enough details in such a short time so that beginners can comprehend. Great!!
Dr. Pervezbhai your quest for knowledge and passion for spreading the science is unmatched. You are working relentlessly for it. Wishing you great success in that.
I watch most of your videos on science. I am also a passionate Physics lover with professional qualifications in Electrical and Electronics now following neuroscience as a hobby.😊
Just yesterday I read Dr Hoodbhoy's article in Dawn. He had written a line about neural circuits. Very glad to get a full lecture here. Thanks from India.
why there is no pakistani muslim in the comment section but you will find maximum of them under anti india anti hindu anti jewish videos.
Another remarkable Bengali scientist from MIT. Now I know why entire Bhaba Atomic Research township in the middle of marathi Mumbai speaks Bengali :)
OMG Dr Pervaiz it was a lecture which changed my brain….Neuro plasticity
I hardly have any idea of neuroscience but even then I have found this lecture of learned professor very interesting. I have question if an average human being has same brain as of others then why some people more intelligent and other less or a dunce?
Fascinating lecture
Very interesting. One of the best talk on Blake hole
JUST WONDERFUL
Good to see a person sitting in the first row in traditional Pastun dress.
One of the best lecture in Black Hole .
Great Sir .
پرویز صاحب شاندار کام کر رہے ہیں آپ
Good initiative
Science is religion neutral. So please fo not drag religion into any scientific talk.
Thank you Dr Parvez sir for organising such talks without getting anything in teturn. My salutation to a guru.
he is from india
Such a small audience for this kind of high order talks.
How conciousness arises from brain electrical activity?if it is known can it be replicated in artificial networks
Good
Almost all online viewers are from India.. How many are from Pakistan? Is there it because of non availability of internet in Pakistan.
Dr alok sherma should also be considered
Y acha km keya k y time change keya
He is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur Electrical engineering department.
Memories are not stored in the brain cells ,
I think hoodbhoy is lying about the accident. The type of memory loss he speaks is very unlikely.
I know why Bengali intellectuals have left Waste Bengal!
