Thank you for this message; it was for me. I am a 70 year old grandmother and my daughter had to move back home with her 3 children ages 12, 4 and 2. It never occurred to me that this sacrifice could be worship to my Heavenly Father who has provided all that my husband and I need for this season in our lives. Shame on me for complaining😔. You have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God within your body. It is even furthered, so whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.
In Colossians 3:23 is states"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." So then, everything we do can be seen as worship in this life if we do it unto the Lord. It is an attitude of service and sacrifice!! Especially, love!!!! Love of the Lord and of God is worship! It shines through if you love Them. People take notice, it may lead them to Jesus.
Thank you for this devotional. It is beautiful that when we honor God through our actions and speech, it is an act of worship to Him. However, this begs the question - what should our worship service look like, if we want to expand it beyond hymns/singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and a sermon?
HOW DO YOU DEFINE WORSHIP? As the verse you mention says (Romans 12:1) to worship God is to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. But, what does that means? The Word of God says that true worshipers worship God in Spirit and in truth. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. (John 4:24 NIV) But, what it means worshiping God in Spirit and in truth? Worshiping God in Spirit and in truth means to live a life dominated and guided by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, which is the truth. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:7-8 NIV)
