I’m surprised you didn’t buff this weapon at all. You can put bloodflame blade on it and the projectiles from the AoW will actually cause bleed build up. Love this weapon.
Yeah after dying to him multiple times in my first playthrough I figured out that after the ring attack he just goes the the opposite side he was at so I just turn around and start running

you can fast travel from sites of grace, just not through the menu; just press the map button while resting and you can still fast travel. the only exception is obviously if you're in a dungeon and haven't beaten the boss yet.
i assume what he meant was that you can't fast travel away from caves/dungeons where you haven't beaten the boss, even if you're sitting at the grace at the entrance. you have to get up, walk out of the dungeon, and then fast travel. which is kinda annoying.

personally I prefer the large club. it swings way faster, while still offering absurd poise breaking capability. plus it suits my caveman style really well

Elden ring in general just lets you be alot more broken compared to the other souls games. So much stuff you find just roaming is insanely broken and you can easily explore, get a bunch of levels and upgrades, then go fight a main boss and its a cake walk without farming a group of mobs

Im sure we are way past suggestions, but I'd like to see the Sword of Night and Flame. Probably wouldnt be the most challenging run, but it was powerful, nerfed, and then re-buffed. Im kind of curious how good it is really.
Clubs and Great Clubs of the wood variety are in my favorite weapon types in all games, fantasy, tabletop RPGs etc. While most people like swords, axes, spears etc. I like the wooden clubs. Dunno why. I really want this weapon. I'm starting the elden ring journey really late. Only just picking it up. So far I am playing a Wretch. I'm I'm almsot too Godrick the Grafted and my current best weapon is the Flail Link. But I also got a couple incantations, one spell, and some armor and my starting Club
If you’re new to fromsoft games and want to play more than just elden ring: I’d suggest starting from Ds1, only bc it’s hard to go back to a clunkier version of a game as opposed to moving onto a refined version. Ds1->Ds2->Ds3 You can hop around to Bloodborne, sekiro and Demon souls without much issue since the gameplay & game style is so different, or they recently remastered the game (demon souls). Demon souls and BB being PlayStation exclusive is another thing to keep in mind (demon souls may be on pc now)
Even with no faith this weapon is still awesome. charged LT's will still stagger bosses when even severely under leveled. I was under leveled for a lot of bosses and it still did amazing. I originally became facinated with the great club after playing ds1 and using it as my main weapon and loving it. so when I wanted to use a strength build on elden ring I automatically chose the great club as my weapon I wanted to use. I was extremely suprised to see that it was my best strength weapon. giant crusher, great sword, zwhiehander, etc... The great club surpassed all. even if it didnt have any faith scaling or attacks in would still be my go to, the stagger damage is amazing. and it does great damage. By far my favorite weapon Ive ever used in elden ring. Highly recommend it to anyone.

iirc in DS2 increasing adaptability will increase various resistances AND agility (attunement also slightly affects agility) and the number of s you get on your rolls/backsteps is based off of your agility while the speed and distance of your rolls is still based on equip load which is tied to vitality. they really tried to overcomplicate rolls lol
