- This is my first time hearing Bring Me The Horizon. This is Bring Me The Horizon's new song Teardrops. I'm excited to finally get to listen to the band! What other songs from them should I do???

Welcome to the BMTH rabbit hole! I absolutely love this band! Check out some of their other songs like Drown, Doomed, Throne, Avalanche, Can you feel my heart, Sleepwalking, Shadow Moses, True Friends (I recommend the lyric video for this one,) Obey, Kingslayer, Happy song, Parasite Eve, Ludens, Follow you, In the dark, and 1x1. There are so many more, but that should be a good place to start :)
Edit: Oli Sykes (the lead singer) writes amazing lyrics. He had an addiction to ketamine (I do believe) and he often writes about the struggle with it and the depression that usually goes hand in hand. For me, The "goblin" represents the demon of addiction and you could probably include depression into that as well. It is always there feeding off of you. You are right about his band helping through everything and them pulling him out of the water is symbolizing that.

You definitely have to check out the rest of their work if you liked this song! Oli (the lead singer) writes all the lyrics and directs and edits many of their music videos. He dealt with a really severe drug addiction and mental health issues for many years so a majority of their lyrics and concepts are his way of venting and getting those things off his chest. They started out as a deathcore band and gradually got more experimental so they have songs that are a lot heavier than this, and also songs that are a lot lighter! In my opinion, you really can't go wrong with any of their music. They're really diverse sonically, but their creative videos and poetic lyrics are consistent among their whole discography.

@@ROOKCAST Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything! Choose whatever looks interesting to you and odds are, you'll like it! I definitely recommend checking our their live performances at the Royal Albert Hall - it might be cool if you checked out a music/lyric video and then did the live performance at that venue in one video to see how they transform it! ALSO, if you react to Drown (which you absolutely should (I've seen a couple people recommend it)), I highly suggest checking out the Vevo live acoustic performance as well! It takes the song to a whole other level of beautiful lol

Your first impression should of been Parasite-Eve cause that song is something else man, but shadow Moses is one of my favorites!

Just checking back ti see if you had reacted to anymore Bring Me The Horizon music..but I didn't see any, unless I'm just missing them as I scrolled thru yer videos. 😔 Too bad, cuz your reaction to this song, was so on point, meaningful, entertaining. I like your ways and you seem to be a real one, one of the good guys, that actually care about real shit, and aren't shallow and fake like many TH-cam reactors. BMTH is more important than people realize right now. Even though they're at the top as far as popularity goes, THE rock band of the monent, people still do not get that this band, with such a wonderful front man, Oli Sykes, and his imagination and creativity are just so epic. This is a band we will all look back on as we now do for all the other Legends in Music. I guess it's kinda hard to see that sortbof thing AS it's happening though. But we NEED people like you to lead that, to REALLY dive into lyrics and pick apart and appreciate music for what it really is, an extension of us, a way to express what we feel to share it with others. That we aren't alone it makes it bearable. Music is life. Without music, I don't believe that I would FEEL as much, if at all. If that makes any sense? I'd be numb by now. Music reminds me I'm alive, awakens dead human emotions that get ignore or pushed away in life, simply for lack of anyway to deal with them. Music IS my coping mechanism for what life just throws at us, regardless of if we can handle this shit nor not! Music is a way.
My rant, but please consider reacting to more BMTH. Don't know if you'd like their older stuff, some is quite hard or "heavy" I really wish someone would react to the song "Suicide Season" it's like an 8 minute song of Oli just pouring his heart out mostly in screans, but not the kind you'd think. Also, from more recent, "I Don't Know What To Say" his friend died from cancer and this song is about his lost friend, RIP Aiden. Also, oddly, Oli is an Atheist, a fact that makes me think and wonder, because I am so much a believer in God and have convictions that there is indeed A Creator, and that some how that fact, that Oli doesn't and he's written whole songs speaking against religion, this difference in his and my beliefs, is VERY crucial, like part of something bigger than just fan/rockstar shit. Like, guess I'll know someday? Interesting nonetheless.

You should react to One day the only butterfly's left will be the ones in your chest as you march to your death by BMTH feat Amy Lee. That song is amazing especially if you read what it is actually about it makes me admire them so much more. Another one is Doomed by BMTH but the one performed at Royal Albert area with an orchestra.
