    Ive started doing pullups with attention to always having the pinky knuckle high like that, and it makes a huge impact on stability in the shoulder joint, activation of the lats and grip strength. Thanks for posting this, Carl!

    Super interesting, Coach Carl! I am not a gymnast but found that thumbs over the bar allowed me even more internal rotation of the shoulders.

    Great video Carl. I'm getting out of a shoulder injury. All my pull ups and my CTBs are strict at the moment. it's good. It makes me gain strength. But as I can re-integrate Kipping to my routines. any advice?

    HI Carl, tnx for the details about grip:) could you elaborate a little about what if the thumb is above the bar as all other fingers? I usually do so and it feels comfortable and, what's important, allows to hang longer

      Same here. I had shoulder issues and thumbs above the bar definitely allowed my shoulders to externally rotate farther than thumbs under the bar/hook grip. th-cam.com/video/1tye-ZbFskE/w-d-xo.html

    Would these grip mechanics also apply to the fat bar? any adjustments ?

      the only adjustment would be that the thumb doesn't wrap around.
