(My personal fave) Also try the honey chipotle chicken crispers. (The world’s fave) and also the Cajun chicken pasta (another world fave)

If you ate the Concrete when it was still frozen, it wouldn’t have seemed too textural. It’s like frozen custard with tons of chunky mix-ins, so good! I love Culver’s, it’s so much higher in quality than other fast food chains💜

I am telling you get an airfryer to warm your food up before eating so you can get a better experience and it crisps it up nice. Culvers is so good and you can order with lettuce etc. so you just need to order different. The taste of their meat is beyond good. Its a “smash burger” Culvers is not a bad place it is one of the best fast food places. Started in midwest and working way south. The concrete mixers needed to be refrigerated because they are thick, not runny so go there to eat one day and eat it fresh right away!

I think the pickle juice got the bun wet & the thing u called a croissant was a Philly cheese steak sub which probably needed some of that cheese whiz looking sauce on it. I always love that u try thr food even if it looks terrible or is wet. & maybe got overly steamy. Ur right most of those foods needs to be eaten hot at the restaurants. But u did a great job. I love Texas Roadhouse, & their YEAST ROLLS & cinnamon butter. I get their chicken breast with a Swiss style cheese & a wonderful bunch of mushrooms in a brown sauce/ gravy it's so good & I use to get their Wedge salad, House or Ceaser salad& I've had the sweet potato with just cinnamon butter & it was really good. They have nice steaks there also, I usually get a ribeye or petite Filet with garlic butter mushrooms on top & a good steak sauce. The yeast rolls are worth getting a free refill basket full before u go home so u have a great to-go bag.& they always give me a new fresh sweet tea in a togo cup to take with me. They have great service. Their ranch tastes like homemade hidden valley ranch. What do u always wear a beautiful white shirt or hoodie when ur trying these messy foods.

Regard Portillos - the hotdog comes in a steamed bun (damp) with a big pickle (damp) and sliced tomatoes (damp) and sauces (more damp). It's the sort of thing that's best to eat at the restaurant so nothing gets soggy. It's delicious when you have it all together and fresh.
Edit: If you have another chance, get the chocolate cake shake, the ribs, the same hot dog, but instead get the Maxwell St. Polish sausage instead the regular dog, and the grilled chicken sandwich on a croissant. Their italian beef sandwich is decent (I was spoiled by growing up near Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Park IL) but I don't recommend it for you because it's not photogenic and you seem to dislike mushy textures. Italian beef is thinly sliced beef on french bread with either sweet or spicy peppers and then dipped into an au jus that will make the sandwich soggy and amazing. Their chopped salad is popular if you like salads. All of their desserts are amazing.

Places like Chili's used to be big in the 90's in mostly suburban or semi-rural places. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like there were a lot less cool local restaurants.
Casual dining chains have kinda been overtaken by fast casual chains and local places.

I would recommend trying Portillos again: Italian beef DIPPED with hot peppers, chopped salad (trust me), cake shake, maxwell street polish and a tamale. Also, the cheese sauce is for the fries :) You should probably also get a slice of chocolate cake. It is a crime to get your Chicago Italian beef dry, it should be dripping down your arm

Ok, Chili’s is not Fast Food. It’s a sit down restaurant. Yes, it’s a chain, but definitely not fast food. The Queso is the bomb! And, leaving it in plastic, sealed containers, is going to make the food soggy. Try dining in, instead. It will make a world of difference. 🙂
