This episode for Claire was as difficult as Jamie’s at Wenworth prison, excellent acting and writing of some brutal material. Sam and Cait are powerful in these scenes, I can’t say I have seen anything as good for a very long time from any other performance. They are the best!
Actually, you are right to a point. It is FAR WORSE. From what Jaime told Claire about that sick session with Cpt. Randall he was well taken care of. Pain liquids applied to his wounds. He was massaged, yes, against his will but, after a time he allowed himself to let go and he let sick fuking Randall have his way with him. Randall later told Claire saying, 'Jaime enjoyed it'. Jaime said he felt ashamed that he let himself enjoy it. Not in those 'specific words' but, you know what I am saying. He truly didn't understand why, as a MAN who loved Claire and women how he'd allow the GOOD FEELINGS come out? He was 'Confused'. As any human being would who never had those feelings for the same sex. I would personally rather BE KILLED than go what either of them did BUT, with that said, 'CLAIRE SUFFERED TERRIBLY 100%. There were NO good about it. She was beat. Traumatized. Knifed. Cut, Bleeding and Bruised terribly both PHYSICALLY & MENTALLY she cannot heal. Just llive each day to the best of her ability with family and any friends she has. The torment continues though and a Civil War arrives. Adding to the daily anguish. FUKED LIFE 1700-1800's. My God. And thy all Believed in GOD and THE WORD. Why would HE allow this on the Earth HE CREATED in 7 days? Why let Man suffer so? Psalm 46:10? BE STILL?
This was a very difficult episode to watch.and you need to watch it more than once to put it all together. Great acting. Cait did an outstanding job. The rescue was right on. Cudos to Marsali. A great season finale. ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Who wants to watch poor Claire get raped and tortured over and over again? We get the writers want to paint her as a strong survivor but they need different plots by now
So heartbreaking...violent...helplessness...alone...courageousness I had a dream about this episode just last night....goosebumps...great acting 🎭 Miracles 🙏💕
People ask how could this happen to her? Those who are healers have always carried heavy burdens. This was brutal, as life can too often be. Then the healer must find their own path of healing to continue.
How could this happen, simple Gabaldon and the writers , have no other ways to make interesting plots and have to resort to Claire’s entire family getting raped. They are like hey worked in the first one so hey lets do it over and over again because I am a writer who completely lacks any creativity and have to just resort to violence and rape over and over again!

Sans oublier que les hommes sont exposés aussi ( les homosexuels, les hétéros par pure sadisme,etc...)mais on en parle moins car c'est encore tabou (le machisme). Donc à ne pas voir toutes les femmes comme des êtres faibles. Biz
I know what it like to be hit like that not all man are like that but the one i had was after 35 year's i got up and walk away to be free i am a still free thank God
God Bless You! So sorry you had to endure such pain. I too was in a relationship like that 9 yrs! I too walked out! God has blessed me also ! Never look back ! Love to you sister!
This is a great compilation of the final episode of Season Five which as Outlander fans know, was pretty raw and brutal. Because of this, there was plenty of warning about it both ahead of and after the episode. Creators might want to consider adding a warning ahead of the beginning of this video. Just a suggestion.
This scene is always hard for me to watch cuz I was sexually assaulted and raped by someone for seven years. Disassociating was sometimes the only way to get through it.
I Hope people who watches The Outlander get the hint how horrible life stopping situation rape is...you are destroyed inside dirt and how can you get away from your own body...and not only woman is a victim...man can be rape too...deep depression, willingness to hurt yourself, act unbredictible etc. feeling devastated, aggression, become like living death...it is a serious crime should out same level taking someone life...and then how to recover, forget and forgive that level you can move on your life...then if you become pregnant for that rape...you should have a choice for abortion safely...Important topic lift out more than once in Outlander...
why in Outlander always the season finales should be devastating and completely against everything that happened during the season? S1:in all season Claire and Jamie wanted to escape from Black Jack Randall!and although there was so many adventures during that,in the finale episode, instead of fighting with that man,it was just about Jamie's trauma after rape, pushing Claire away, being so childishly grumpy and in the end, withou making everything right, going to France for a better future! S2:while I expected something especial about Battle Of Culloden, again it was more with Claire's issues with Brianna and how exactly she was forced to go back! S3:this was a little bit better because the first half was with Claire finally getting rid of Gillies so Brianna can be saved but the second half was more on the sea, drowing and boring moments, just to end up in America! S4:this one I loved most!because after a few episodes, finally the boring stuff with Roger with the Mohawk was over and finally we get to see Jamie making up for his mistake by saving Roger from Mohawk and young Ian replacing himself with Roger,Jamie's apologize,Roger learning the whole story about Brianna and and then a great family reunion! S5:I loved this seasons a lot!but this finale episode was again a little bit disappointing!after what Lionel Brown and his men did,I expected something more than just Fraser family attacking and their revenge!especially by seeing Lionel that much brassy and enormity!the punishment which they give to him and his men wasn't satisfying at all!and the next half was just Claire's trauma and...!
Not like how it was in the book, but still a good episode. Book Claire and show Claire don't really seem to be the same person the farther the series progresses.
Yes wasnt Claire taken while she was helping Marsali at the whiskey shed? and she was raped by 3-4 men not 20 or so like the episode says (not of course that it makes it any better) and I dont remember any one pointing out her case book in the books unless I missed it
@@daniellegoodell8271 It was only one guy who actually raped her. He missed his deceased wife, Marha, and so took his loss out on Claire. The others mentioned who visited her that night was a teenager who had no idea what he was doing and so didn't. The other was the time traveller who only wanted to talk to her because he knew she was a time traveler too. He wanted to know how to get back to his own time.
@@daniellegoodell8271 Yeah, she was helping Marsali out in the whiskey shed. It is why both women were only wearing their undergarments for how hot the shed was. I am not sure about the case books. When Jaimie asked her "how many" in the book he was asking how many had raped her. She was not processing the question the way he asked it and so said she didn't know - which is why he ordered for all the men to be killed.

Its devastating how Claire is abused. And not even in her own time but in another time and another world. However this works out like Jaimie promises it will always haunt a woman if even Clair wasn't a character. Does a next season make things right ? I have doubts.
Note; Killing those men that raped Claire does not make things right. Thats an act of vengeance. IMO it makes it more difficult for Claire and Jamie to reconcile their love because Claire is pro-life. Wachting Outlander I see many of controversial themes passing by. In our time people may not make their own judgement.

In the book Claire and Marsali were approached at the whiskey house though right? Just feel like I'm not remembering it correctly. I don't remember them being taken at the house or him pointing out her case book...It's OK of course that the show is different I'm not complaining, I like it, just a question.

I disagree. They have had a lot of happy moments which were full of love. Of course, the violence is very present, but it's not the series' whole existing
Its a beautiful scenery and the makers put magical non realistic items in, like traveling through time and dreams. That based on a belief that such things are real. There are people that are fascinated by this kind of thinking. The violence comes from early ages when there were no laws to protect someone from evil deeds.
